I was disappointed by the movie, I expected a whole lot more of it.
Still, it was entertaining, but it was mostly CGI, 3D special effects, more special effects and... well... oh right, there is Scarlett.
that's it.
still. it was some brainless entertainment, good for an hour or so on the couch with my gf
Usually I can very much agree with CatyAlexandre reviews :) but this time I didnt enjoy this movie as much. I found it a very strange movie and I stopped watching it, so I did not rate it. I'm afraid I would not be able to do it justice.
For what I did watch I would not get above 5 out of 10... perhaps it's just not for me.
I guess this is a "love it or hate it" kind of movie. I enjoyed it, it had a few good laughs.
Dont expect an intelligent movie. It's Men in Black meets Ghostbusters and then on steroids.
Probably the worst movie of Jeff Bridges though, his character was simply obnoxious.
I enjoyed this movie a lot, it's a good introduction to a series of movies, hopefully, just like the books. Sure, it could have been better, but its definitely not bad.
extremely enjoyable movie. simple action flick, but very well done. not too realistic, but suspenseful. one of the few movies that I know off which are entirely on board of an airplane and well done. Liam Neeson +1.
Boring. Long. Overdone. Many many many inconsistencies.
Sure it had some great scenes, very good looking nature shots, but overall it was tedious. And the part with the dragon was..... zzzz.... It was as if I was watching a bad version of DragonHeart.
Maybe if they had merged Hobbit 2 and 3 together, it would have been better. But this...
Great action movie. Captain America: First Avenger was totally crap, but this was a totally different level action movie and very enjoyable.
Btw, didnt anyone notice "The Path Of The Righteous Man" ?
I enjoyed the references to other movies a lot and its great to see how the story of the different Marvel movies is starting to link in more and more.
Of course it was not a perfect movie, but I totally second CatyAlexandre statement.
a very different kind of take on vampire movies, refreshing.
I enjoyed it
I'm still not sure if I should give this movie a 8/10 or a 3/10.
its so -extremely- bad that its actually good, from a grindhouse point of view.
crazy movie.
very enjoyable Vampire movie. a bit comparable to Let Me In, totally not comparable to Underworld or anything like that. Great movie.
And Saoirse Ronan is absolutely adorable
This movie will be called Terminator: Genesis (2015)
This is one of the best action films I've seen in a long time and it was my first with Jason Statham, who instantly became one of my most fav action movie actors. Especially after I found out that I actually had already seen him before in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Worst movie with Nicolas Cage. Ever.
And after Dare Devil, this is the worst movie in any way linked to Marvel.
Cheesy lines, terrible script, average special effects.
I was really looking forward to the next big Claire Danes project.
After the first few minutes of episode 1 I am already hugely disappointed. Wtf at the shaky cam footage? They are so obviously making it on purpose extra shaking that it almost makes me feel sick to the stomach - or at the very least annoyed.
Very much doubt I will continu watching this, if theres anymore of that shaky cam sequences.
MODERATION EDIT: Don't be disrespectful.
How is it possible that this movie scored so high on here? Jokes are miles off, not even worth a chuckle. It's just plain stupid.
What a retarded movie. Nothing even close to interesting. Everything about it feels extremely low budget.
Interesting concept. Terrible acting. Huge plot holes. In a way interesting. Best part is (aside the pretty girls) that it's only 90 minutes.
Total rubbish. Better watch the Netflix series instead.
This movie is a really weird mix of Harry Potter, Beverly Hills 90210, Twilight and Veronica Mars all thrown into one. At the same time it's refreshing though. Don't take the movie too seriously and heck, it's perhaps even a little enjoyable.
If you're expecting a proper and thruthful book-adaption, you'll be in for a serious disapointment though.
I got interested in this series because of Lili Simmons who was stunning on Banshee, alongside Anthony "Homelander" Starr
Extremely "wannebee" politically correct movie. With an (even more extremely) bad ending. Dont waste your time.
Perhaps if you are 'of color' you'd find some way to enjoy the movie. Then still it has a crap ending though.
Wanted to watch this because of Saoirse Ronan and Ben Mendelson.
What a waste of time.
I thought I was watching this Doomsday movie, when I actually was watching "2012: doomsday", also from 2008. Oh my Lord that other one is crap. So far I still havent seen this one....
For me this movie was always a matter of "Airwolf is better"; although its not really that bad.
hate the stupid needless time jumping. so annoying.
Seems they just tried to stretch out this show for way too long. Probably would have been great if they'd have kept it to one long season, or maybe at most 2 seasons. Maybe they can make this into a remake and keep it to a mini-series
Wow, what a star cast with even Tom Riley and Jimmy Carr. Curious about this.
The humor was good.
General storyline perhaps better than season 1...
But again multiverse timetravel etc.
Too bad Loki was used as set up for this story line.
Plus it means that Avengers are also setup to go for time travel again. Sigh.
So done with Marvel.
Some other episodes I kind of enjoyed. This episode was really beyond me. Pigs, surrogates, weird relationship dramas.... Nope. Not for me. At all.
EDIT: cancelled after 1 season (and rightfully so!) - open ended. Do not bother to watch this crap.
The Tula mom character is endlessly annoying. That person alone is reason enough to get this series cancelled.
For real though - what a dreadfully stupid story. Nothing unique or even remotely interesting.
Of course there is some strong suppressing organisation / government. There are rebels. Theres important people on both sides who have lots of history. Of course.
