I actually liked this first episode. Was more funny than expected. At least the first episode. A bit worried how next episodes will end up, but first one - so far, so good.
I very much enjoyed this. A nice balance between drama, action and fun. There's quite some comedy in this.
It's also much more enjoyable than for example Arrow, which at some became endlessly stupid gun fights vs arrows.
The amount of fist fights in this was also not over the top (vs how it was in Dare Devil or the golden fist boy...).
Acting in this series is here and there a bit sub par (strange to come to this conclusion when you look at the actor star cast) But overall, very enjoyable series.
MODERATION EDIT: Don't use offensive words.
best episode in a long time.
This series is refreshingly different from DC and Marvel shows. I stopped watching immediately - at first- after the scène where the girlfriend gets obliterated. But gave it a second chance later, while watching alone. It's too much gore to be girlfriend-approved material.
I quite enjoyed the first season of The Witcher.
Something that definitely should have been done a lot better is the switching between past and present. The flashbacks - which you only realize after several episodes to be that : flashbacks - are making the whole story difficult to follow and at times very confusing.
It feels in many ways that there is much more to the story then ended up in these mere 8 episodes and probably another 4 or so episodes worth of story got cut away.
Overal it's a pretty good series that gets close to filling that huge void after GoT, there are however just not enough episodes......
And now, a year to wait for the next set. I hope they do come at least.
I watched it as 1 big movie. Quite good; dont bother with the webisodes if you can find the movie :)
I very much enjoyed this show; feels a lot like The Librarians, but the chemistry between the lead actors is better, the humor is better and ... well the whole show is just better.
Surprising movie; one of the surprises being that Carey is actually a more than capable actor. I didnt expect it upfront, but I enjoyed this movie.
Great 80s style action flick.
Good movie. Really keeps you guessing. At first I thought it would be "another one of those 13 in a dozen" time traveling movies, btu this one was quite different from the average one, it really stands out from the bunch.
final episode was a bit disappointing to my taste, but at least not as dreadfully bad as DEXTER.
oh well, we have closure. tnx.
I enjoyed this movie a lot, it's a good introduction to a series of movies, hopefully, just like the books. Sure, it could have been better, but its definitely not bad.
extremely enjoyable movie. simple action flick, but very well done. not too realistic, but suspenseful. one of the few movies that I know off which are entirely on board of an airplane and well done. Liam Neeson +1.
Great action movie. Captain America: First Avenger was totally crap, but this was a totally different level action movie and very enjoyable.
Btw, didnt anyone notice "The Path Of The Righteous Man" ?
I enjoyed the references to other movies a lot and its great to see how the story of the different Marvel movies is starting to link in more and more.
Of course it was not a perfect movie, but I totally second CatyAlexandre statement.
very enjoyable Vampire movie. a bit comparable to Let Me In, totally not comparable to Underworld or anything like that. Great movie.
And Saoirse Ronan is absolutely adorable
Very strange opening episode. It looks quite interesting.
And absolutely kudos for the music.
Interesting what direction this will be going.
Not sure what I think about this. First 4 episodes were great. Episode 5 it suddenly was a mess and there was only one person stealing the show (and not John and Jane, obviously) and all chemistry was gone.
Episode 6 and 7 it was asif I was watching an episode in As The World Turns or something. Did suddenly get a different showrunner on board or something? Disappointing crap.
The final episode seemed a bit as if part of it had a movie re-enactment. Not as-good as the movie and lacking that superb acting and stunning chemistry between Pitt and Jolie obviously - but... not so badly done.
Then everything just got messy, easy, predictable. Too obvious. Disappointing and lack of originality. I could have written the script. And no thats not a good thing.
The movie is not the best ever, but it's enjoyable and I loved the references to Starwars, including the modern day remake of the scene on Endor (in the forest on the speeders).
Don't take the movie too seriously and it's great.
Great show. It has a bit of a sad atmosphere, because Mary has a lot of interaction with terminally ill patients. But if you can get around that, the story is quite good and compelling. There are 3 seasons and it brings everything to a close.
In some ways it reminds me of Dexter, in some ways of Good Behaviour.
Recommended to (binge) watch.
Kind of to my surprise i really enjoyed this. I binged season 1 completely. Ok, its a bit predictable and its nothing really original, but overal it's quite well done. It takes on both racial inequality AND the woke cancel culture bullshit both at once. Great job. Quite refreshing to call out the woke over the top angry screamers, who dont really care about being right, but just screaming the most loud to become right.
Hilary Swank is really carrying this series though. Without her there would be not much there in al fairness. Most of the story line per episode seems to be written by some students doing their first scripts and are having trouble to come up with something totally fresh and new. The underlying storyline over the whole season 1 is decent enough though.
This is basically a modern remake of the Green Card (1990), although the initial situation is different and the way they get to the (expected) outcome. I love Sandra Bullock. The chemistry between the two is quite good, the movie was predictable in many ways, but with these kind of movies sometimes thats the best feature. A pleasant feel-good movie, enjoyable, funny at times.
I really hope they finish the show with a movie, like they did with Firefly
or continue the show by creating some movies, like they did for SG-1
Uhm...... holy cr*p. Haha this is like watching a crazy late 80's or early 90's action movie.
Dont expect a proper story. Dont expect a serious plot. Dont expect intelligent dialogues.
Then this is a pretty cool action movie. Statham at his best since The Transporter.
this is a great police series, but its crazy (white)male unfriendly. whatever the situation, the white man is the bad guy, or at minimum 'a' bad guy. seriously fck off........
I'm 4 episodes in and actually..... positive surprised. I expected some off-the-charts woke crap. Aside one racism-conversation which turned out ok, I've actually not really felt annoyed about woke virus shit. So.... all in all, pretty good. This is how Tue Lies series could have been!
Donald Glover is great in this role. Quite convincing as the modern retro weak not-very-manly-man. I'm not a huge fan of Maya Erksine, her whole character is rather bland. But together they have decent chemistry.
This series is absolutely nothing like the original movie... but pretty decent. Well above average.
This series is not perfect. It has some weird scenes that are not realistic or plain simple stupid. Motivations why some characters do something, or dont do something does not always make sense.
It is a bit over-hyped.
It does not have a great ending.
But.
It has proper dialogues, good acting, interesting(mostly ;) ) plot twists and it keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more.
I completely binged it and am feeling a bit of simply wanting more. And a different ending.
To fill the gap I started watching The Stranger...
At least there is an ending to the series. But there are too many parallels to Dexter.
What a disappointing last season. What a predictable and terrible crap ending. At least the final scenes of the fake-movie are added that give things a somewhat nice ending.
But after the great and inventive writing of the first seasons, this is all just one big disappointment.m
The series starts very slow. It takes it time to get going somewhere. If compared to its dreadful peers like Book of Boba Fett then Andor is a true gem. When evaluated by itself, then it is a very decent series, but it really relies heavily on the StarWars canon. You need to know what 'the empire' is and who Palpatine is and why the empiral navy taking over on planets is so scary. Most people likely know. But you really do need that basis.
Anyway. Series. Starts slow, picks up after 3 or so episodes. The culimination of season 1 is superb, though it does not 110% fully makes sense that all main characters are bothering to travel to the same small city. I'll forgive the scenario writers lacking in that area, as it did bring a very nice final to season 1 and leaves me wanting for more.
Diego Luna is absolutely superb in his role. Kudos for that.
I watched this movie. Apparently rated it an 8 so I did enjoy it. 6 months later and I can't even really remember having seen it.
A simple and a bit brainless movie... But some humor in it.
Watched 2 episodes so far... And uhm.... Wow. Extreme over the top in every possible way.
But it's so terrible that it's actually funny.
Quite a few famous faces in supporting roles and guest staring.
Don't expect anything even remotely serious though.
