The age old question of what happens after we die? Since no one really can answer it, I find it interesting that, instead of showing us some form of heaven, they choose to have Neelix find nothing. And after struggling with the fact he discovers that living is about what happens to you in life and not what awaits you after death. I like that.
Again we see that Neelix can be so much more than comic relief (which he seldom is anyway) and that Ethan Phillips is more than capable to deliver great performances if he gets the opportunity.
