Oregairu (SNAFU) is an amazing anime for a magnitude of reasons, but one element that is rarely discussed is it's approach to visuals. Everything from the lighting to character animation is used to heighten the intensity of unspoken emotions. In this video, I break all this down to understand why it's great from a technical and creative perspective.

If you've seen episodes 3 and 4 of The Journey of Elaina, you'll know that this anime isn't afraid of dealing with dark subject matter. It definitely surprised me and has made for a show I'm eager to watch every week.

Anime has many good romantic comedies but Tonikaku Kawaii (Tonikawa: Over The Moon For You) might just be the most ideal one. Although, there is Kaguya-sama too... but that's special! Regardless, Tonikaku is the gem I was looking for this fall anime season.

Angel Beats! may not be the best anime, particularly by today's standards, but it is a big reason for why I initially fell in love with the medium. In this video I'll explain why that is.
