Yuki Takeya is a cheerful school girl who is a member of her school's "School Living Club", alongside her friends Kurumi Ebisuzawa and Yūri Wakasa. Yuki seeks out fun school activities every day whilst Kurumi and Yūri protect her, because in reality, they are the sole survivors of their school after a zombie outbreak overruns the city. -Charlotte In an alternate world, a small percentage of children are able to manifest superpowers upon reaching puberty. Yuu Otosaka, a boy who awakens the ability to temporarily possess others, hopes to use his power to live an easy going high school life. However, he is caught red-handed by the mysterious Nao Tomori and is forced to transfer to Hoshinoumi Academy. -Aoharu X MachineGun When Hotaru moves into a new apartment alone, there's a mysterious man standing nearby the apartment. Hotaru decides to confront the man, who turns out to live in the neighboring apartment. The next day at school, Hotaru's best friend Kanae tells Hotaru that a host tricked her out of her money. -Non Non Biyori Repeat With just five students (none in the same grade ), the four girls of the tiny Asahioka Branch School still enjoy watching cherry blossoms, playing in rivers, digging potato, and building igloos together. The pace is very slow yet enjoyable and heartwarming.

*SPOILERS: I would highly recommend watching all of Clannad and After Story first before watching this video. Clannad is a very special anime for me, I stand by it being one of the best drama shows the medium has to offer. In this video I focus on only one of the many, many themes the show presents. Looking at how the show portrays time, flow and change (or the sources for hardships in life) and how Tomoya gradually learns to overcome them. I hope you enjoy the video! This should be obvious, but, this is not a review. Tamako Love Story, the continuation of Tamako Market, is one of my favourite anime movies for one huge reason, its subtle but excellent visual composition (or cinematography). In this video I take a look at the specifics of why Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar) stands out as a fantasy show, and why I believe this alone is enough to confidently say it's great. TV anime shorts often get overlooked due to the belief that they lack substance, but I'm here to tell you that there are good ones. In this video I take a look at 3 of my favourite TV anime shorts in an attempt to understand what makes them special. Anime featured in this video (* = discussed): Wakaba Girl* Yama No Susume* BanG Dream! Garupa☆Pico Natsunagu! Aiura Mobile Land No Car Kun Komatta Jii-san Isekai Quartet* Danchigai Heya Camp Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
Weathering With You (Tenki No Ko) is Makoto Shinkai's Best Film. In this video I hope to explain why Shinkai's latest movie works so well and why it's ultimately better than Your Name. Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
Oregairu (SNAFU) is an amazing anime for a magnitude of reasons, but one element that is rarely discussed is it's approach to visuals. Everything from the lighting to character animation is used to heighten the intensity of unspoken emotions. In this video, I break all this down to understand why it's great from a technical and creative perspective. If you've seen episodes 3 and 4 of The Journey of Elaina, you'll know that this anime isn't afraid of dealing with dark subject matter. It definitely surprised me and has made for a show I'm eager to watch every week. Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
Anime has many good romantic comedies but Tonikaku Kawaii (Tonikawa: Over The Moon For You) might just be the most ideal one. Although, there is Kaguya-sama too... but that's special! Regardless, Tonikaku is the gem I was looking for this fall anime season. Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
Angel Beats! may not be the best anime, particularly by today's standards, but it is a big reason for why I initially fell in love with the medium. In this video I'll explain why that is. A little bit of a different video today! Pokemon is something I've always loved and as it's basically impossible to make a video on the Pokemon anime, I thought I would cover the card game instead. I hope you enjoy this experiment and don't worry I'm still making anime videos. Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
A Place Further Than The Universe showcases just how important adventure is. With that in mind, I want to share why the anime had such an influence on how I looked at my life. Early on I say the video isn't just about Sora Yori and then proceed to talk about it basically exclusively, that's because I actually cut quite a bit from the original script. Sorry about that! I hope you enjoy this video anyway :) Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
Color in anime, when handled well, can be incredibly effective. I wanted to spotlight some of the best examples of this from across the medium. I hope you enjoy! Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AnimeRuss See what anime I'm watching: https://kitsu.io/users/AnimeRuss
Initially, I wasn't all too excited for the summer 2021 anime season. After checking out some of the shows that quickly changed! Bokutachi no Remake looks really promising and I wanted to make a video to outline why. Let's hope it stays on track going forward. Anime is often seen as bizarre and unrealistic by those who don't actually watch it. But the reality is that real-life places are frequently used for the settings of anime, so I figured I'd showcase two amazing examples. I hope you enjoy it!
