Viv takes her plans for the B&B further when she suggests a murder mystery weekend. She is left disappointed when she finds out that someone has paid the asking price. Carol finds Terry in The Woolpack and confides in him about why she did it. Terry is extremely furious with her and gives her an ultimatum - tell Viv or their relationship is over. Later in the restaurant, Carol confesses that she is one who bought the B&B. Viv is understandably enraged and tells Carol to pack her bags and leave. Meanwhile, the prospect of giving evidence leads to friction at the Sugdens; Harry helps Jack prepare for the trial; Eric has an unexpected treat when Gloria stays the night; and Nicola discovers that Bernice is pregnant when Bernice suddenly has a dizzy spell at breakfast.
