From zero to organic farming
With 13 Thuringian Forest goats, Andrea and Tim Holzer began their dream of owning their own farm in 2009. Neither of them comes from a farm, so they first leased an old cowshed and converted it for their goats. Over the years, more and more land and animals were added. In December 2020, 50 dairy goats and their offspring moved into a modern, newly built barn between the Hochdorf fields. Right next to it, the family's new home with cheese dairy and farm store is being built. Goats and special cattle Every day they milk and cheese. The Holzers sell their products at weekly markets in Esslingen, Kirchheim/Teck and directly at their home in the village. In addition to the goats, there are eight Hinterwald cows, including bulls and offspring. (Text: SWR)
