Reading some of these comments my hope in humanity is back. Layton with his Braveheart paint makes me puke, but the worst is the Folger bitch who should have really been in the drawers for murder. I still cannot figure out what was the reason forgiving her. She is a psycho who gets off on cutting off penises for fcks sake and now she is a key ally to Braveheart Leyton - the cop who figured her out? Just how fcking believable is that? I somehow believe that the young boy Miles is going to smarten up too bad the Josie incident happened . Cannot wait for Melanie to get released and restore order in some gruesome way.

I so don't get the hate in the comments here.

Okay, some things don't make perfect sense (like waking up drawered people suddenly being kinda easy), but come on, this is a good show. It's a brave and cool thing that the series actually progresses the story, destroying the status quo. And yeah, rationally everybody should just shrug and embrace Melanie's leadership, but no, it makes so much sense, that people feel betrayed and want to crucify her. The Tailies are also correct in claiming it's either the First that's going to govern (oh boy, now that would be fascist) or them, so they must fight.

And come on, how can you not appreciate this all? The scene with Melanie where her power crumbles is quite awesome. The politics of it all is also interesting. And the massive loss of life: they lost percents of the entire humanity here. This is great stuff.

Its sad how realistic the actions of Ruth and the 1st classers are.

Executing (or planning to execute) their actual savior. For what? For killing the obstacle in the way of their survival? No, they didn't even know about that, they want to execute her for lieing to them (well, actually most of them probably just want the power).

Well, human stupidity is infinite - so it kind of fits that there is so much of it going around an eternal engine...

This was a tough episode to watch. Some of these characters are so painfully stupid it hurts. Everything Melanie has done up to now has kept them alive and they're ready to toss her out a window b/c their feelings are hurt....not even thinking that they might as well jump out after her b/c she's the only one that knows how to run the damn train.

The movie did a much better job to make you root for the tailies.
Also for whatever reason I can't bring myself to like Layton as the main character.
I'm team Melanie all the way.

Funny how it's all been built up to you cheering for the tailies, but then you get this far, and you, or at least I, can't say entirely that I don't feel Melanie is doing a good job with what she's doing. So the idea of complete chaos or her being thrown under the train, figuratively speaking, isn't appealing to me either.

Now they're all like "I want her to pay, I want her to pay", not realising the simple fallacy that what you're trying to make her pay for is her taking over Wilford's job, and keeping y'all goddamn alive ffs. Maybe rather strictly so, but that might just all have been exactly like Wilford would have done. People being all like boohoo you deceived us is just stupid.

Why am I still watching this? How did this show get renewed?

They were going in the right direction with the last two or three episodes and then they dropped something like this one. I think it is the weakest episode of the series. I hope they bounce back with the remaining two.

This was a stupid episode to overall a mediocre series. So many cool things can be done with this concept but nah...

Oh no, this got a second season? Guess it's time to cut my losses. This was quite a lot of screen time to get to terrible action set pieces and parole spouting nonsense. I know the budget might not be the biggest but the extras were standing out in every scene...
