Got to say... it would take longer than a year for Michael's hair to grow that long
Felt a bit like Star Trek of yore. Just hope it doesn't become annoying with the latest turn of events.
So many mixed feelings. Can't really say if I like it. Everyone seems to hate the first 2 seasons. But maybe I liked them more than where this is going tbh..
This episode is starting to lose some of the good will the first two episodes built. 99% of the conflict in this episode was completely contrived, from United Earth not ever talking to Wen, to Burnham AGAIN doing something without telling Saru.
I also wish future-future Earth didn't feel so much like Federation Earth. The crew of the Discovery should be the equivalent of a 12th-century Viking ship landing in modern-day New York Harbor. Instead all we get is a big tree.
The peacemakers have returned! It's good to see Star Trek Discovery getting back to the franchise's roots.
There is so much that makes little to no sense at all, I simply can't be bothered to sum it all up.
Ok, I balled 5 minutes in what the hell show, I wasn't ready for feelz so early haha! Great times in Trek.
What in the world are we watching? We went from kilngons and body snatchers to hugs, kisses and so many "I love you"s that I'm about to puke.
So far I'm liking the way the story is going, and the organic introduction of characters. It is a pill kinda hard to swallow that things have gone this way with the Federation. However, it reminds me some of the plot in the later DUNE novels, and some proposed plots for a follow-up series after ENT wrapped up and Star Trek Online. I am willing to give it a go.
Yawn I have so little interest in what happens next to these people.
Seems to finally go in the right direction. But shouldn't it be called Andromeda?
We need more of Manchester Black. Hope he comes back.
As usual, StarTrek will never disappoint you. Always the best.
9/10
Well I was crying right from the start, we are all back together once more and so far into the future 950+
Wow..just...wow.
I have no words for how Awesome and amazing this episode was, definitely the best one so far of this season, it was sensational and this show is phenomenal and absolutely the best damn Trek ever created and Discovery just keeps going from strengths to strengths and then some.
God I love this flawless Masterpiece of a show so very very much.
Michael and Book are lovely together, I really hope they'll be reunited. I was a bit concerned about Michael's dreadlocks but I do like it. Getting used to her new personality is a bit difficult for me (I remember her as pretty serious and really liked that, especially together with Ash Tyler) but I'm starting to really like it. At least she's still badass.
Anyway, that was a nice episode :D There are still sparkles, hull damage, and computer screen malfunctions when they're getting hit by torpedos, which seems pretty silly, but I liked the diplomatic twist (that's what Starfleet's about and they're not a warship).
How did the fight start? How to stop it?
This show is a car crash and I just can't look away
This episode was what Andromeda would have wanted to be. (Another episode, another show to compare it to. The fact it compares so favorably is more of failing of that show than a a success of this episode.) And that brings it yet a step closer to being Star Trek. I mean, Andromeda was based on notes by Roddenberry after all, and its premise was basically "what if one ship ends up in a future where the federation no longer exists?" (which also happens to describe this season...)
The story is starting to feel like the one on the old tv series Andromeda haha. Maybe should Rename their ship to the USS Andromeda haha
Really good ep! A coherent story and a future arc being setup nicely. The visuals in this show are stunning too - great use of HDR
Does ANYONE remember Jean-Luc Picard talking to Boothby under that same tree?
I AM, "feeling it..." sorry to anyone who is not!

İ think its getting better, federation making people talk instead of fight and stuff.
But here it goes:
Some say
the commonwealththe federation would have fallen even withoutthe Nietzschean treacherythe Burn. They underestimate boththe commonwealththe federation andthe Nietzscheansthe Burn in a single breath.
