Clip-show episode but done in such a smart and fun way that you can‘t hold it against them.

This is so meta and funny, while also expanding the universe.

There's some kind of weird genius going on in this episode. Stargate would usually try to be slightly creative with their clipshows, but this one just takes it to another level and works so well. The clips actually make up a tiny portion of it and the rest is a charmingly comedic tale of a random guy. The real coup de grace is the casting of Dan Castellaneta as Joe and all the meta energy that brings with it.

It's not a fast paced episode and the laughs are more subtle than overt, but it's hard not to have a fun time watching this one. Once Joe meets the team in person it becomes especially wonderful.

A clip show with in-jokes on par with "Wormhole X-treme!"? Sign me up!

Sure, the world-building clip shows are fine, but this… This is something else.

As far as recap episode goes, I think this story is somewhat cool.

What an absolutely bonkers clip show. Honestly the best one they've done.

Flashback crap with a supersilly story.
