Just as I worried, this show is becoming less interesting with every episode. They're focusing way more on the generic and less interesting aspects and characters than they are on the interesting parts. Dialogue constantly feels very off and unbelievable.

It could still change and get better, but so far it looks as though this show might be one of the biggest cases of wasted potential I've seen this year.

1x03 - Haptic Drift: 7.8/10 (Impressive)

As with the other two episodes, this week's instalment of “The Peripheral” is an entertaining watch. This episode had an almost noir-like atmosphere, and Chloë Grace Moretz delivers a stellar performance throughout. The pace never wavered. So far, I've been quite pleased by the show's ability to strike a good balance of action. There are enough thrilling sequences to keep audiences engaged without detracting from or muddying the story. I find this episode’s central theme—the connection of humans and its possible effects—to be intriguing, and I can't wait to see how it develops. The bigger questions remain unanswered. Both the what and the why are buried in mystery. The upcoming episodes have me curious about the story's progression.

Just a few thoughts. That opening scene was terribly shot. Didn't look hot at all, no sweat patches no shimmering in the background, anyway...

Oh no poor Wolf! What a tragic backstory! Sure, he got adopted by a rich white people but they gave him a.... slave name!!!

The sheriff didn't hear the gunshot or the breaking glass?

Oh great it's Buck-toothed Black Baldy again, she looks like something out of Bill and Ted.

Oh look it took only 3 episodes to stick in a BMWF scene... quelle surprise!

Man that baldy's a fucking cunt.

Not a bad show.

I'm enjoying this show. The cast are good, they are well suited to the rules they're in. Chloë is a good watch, she's really growing as an actor. 'Burton' nailing it. All of them are.

The sci-fi is a great mix and isn't as, let's say, as 'ethereal' as WestWorld so with Jonathan Nolan as part of the creative team in this case it's a good thing. Give the show these first three episodes and if you are fan of sci-fi in the realm of Matrix, Westworld, with hints of other good sci-fi I'm sure you'll find this entertaining and with giving it at least a whirl.

"That's my fucking stick."

ROFL. That was awesome.

Damn, Corbell is seriously demented. I love it!

And Mary is awesome, too. She is definitely more cunning than I expected.

Flynne continues to be annoying, however. Let your brother do the planning and strategy as it is quite obviously not your forte, Flynn. Stick to your strengths. You have an analytical mind, use it.

Nice, this is really going somewhere :)

Corbel Pickett is quite despicable - or at least he currently seems that way. He seems to have a mission/agenda but I definitely wouldn't trust him and he doesn't seem to play fair at all... (cruelty for the pure animal joy of it :o).

Of course Flynne wouldn't appreciate the box... xD

Future London is still quite beautiful <3 I really like the Sci-Fi designs :)

I appreciate the additional information regarding the linking/drifting - that's quite interesting.

The RI seems super powerful and I understand why they don't want to draw it's attention. You really shouldn't mess with Dr. Nuland unless you've properly thought everything through!

The "killer" (not really but they can still be used to kill) bees remind me of that Black Mirror episode.

Jasper isn't that smart... Of course he shouldn't have accepted that money!

The electric taxi cabs are nice while that shock gun must really suck (at least if you're on the other end of it...).

I continue to REALLY enjoy the world-building -- in more ways than one -- that is going on here, as well as the casting and the production values. Both the present and future story lines are as compelling as they were in the first two outings. This show is absolutely, positively dead-center of my wheelhouse.
