listen..... Che and Shades deserved better
DC SNAPPED!!!! Man when they do it well, they do it REALLY well. This movie is fucking awesome!!! I might just be fangiriling a little too hard because Aquaman's powers are 100000000%, no doubt about it, the powers i would pick for myself if i could have any. The universe they built underwater literally made me swoon over how gorgeous and dreamy it was, i just wanted to go and live in it for the rest of my days! That scene at the aquarium when Arthur controls the shark??? Idk why but that made me so excited . My only criticism is the outstanding lack of Orcas in this film, but they made up for it by having Mera ride one at the end, like the two majestically beautiful creatures they both are, I squealed.

HERNAN SHADES ALVAREZ IS MY BABY AND I WILL PROTECT HIM
this is honestly the funniest sitcom right now
Jack and Rebecca are something else, my god.
What a disappointing ending to one of the greatest stories ever told. The plot in this film is so... weird, it's like it goes nowhere, there's no real evolution and everything - from Vincent becoming Godfather to Mary dying and we not getting to see any revenge and just time jump to old Michael dying - felt rushed, even tho it's a 3 hour long movie. So something clearly didn't work there. The inclusion of the church and the curroption around it felt overly simplified. The only thing that still pulls me in about this is Michael's character, I freaking love him. His desire to be better and his crushing regret about the life he led make his character even more complex and fascinating to get to know. I also loved their return to Sicily, as the scenes spent there always end up being my favourites in any of the films.

Nahh, i'm mad, this needed at least another 40 minutes of film!! It felt so incomplete, like the fact she gave him personal information about herself never really led anywhere, he never used any of it against her or anything!! I needed a whole third act where she would have gone after him. I also thought Buffalo Bill was more interesting than Lecter as a serial killer, but that's only because we barely got to know anything about Lecter. All in all what's gonna stick with me is Anthony Hopkings' performance for sure.

EDIT: Lol i didn’t know this had a sequel, hell yes it should!! can’t wait to watch!
i still think this is the cutest, purest love story and them not wanting to go back to "the real world" is honestly the biggest mood.

Cute! But honestly there were more scenes of them apart than of them together lmfao

is this what movies before feminism were like? no thanks!
the only reason i'm giving this a 7 instead of a 6 is because Inigo and Fezzik deserve everything that's good in this world.

this is definitely one of the best crime/serial killer films i've seen. it doesn't lose itself in the suspence, keeping it pretty straight forward most of the time, while still making your heart race in big moments all throughout. PERFECT ending. Jake and Mark need to be working together more often, they absolutely CRUSHED this film. 100% want to rewatch at some point.

IVE FINALLY WATCHED THIS!!!! I think it's the movie that's been on my watchlist the longest. It definitely did not disappoint, I was entertained and captivated from start to finish, but those last 30 minutes were breath taking. Absolutely loved it.

This movie is so freaking cool and creative. It's got so much heart and soul. It's gonna earn legend status for sure.

this is the cutest fucking movie ever oh my god

Quvenzhané baby!!!!! This movie is BEAUTIFUL. It gives you so much perspective and the way its told through Hushpuppy's eyes gives you this childlike wonder for the world, even at its most precarious condition.
I loved the little details in this, the heartbeats, the recurring observation about how the universe is composed of little pieces that must all fit together just right ( during her father's funeral, when she says she's just a little piece of the universe.... I felt that), her calling out for her mum, her dad calling her the king of the bathtub, the wild bores getting closer and closer as their living situation becomes more and more dangerous, only for Hushpuppy to control them right at the end, in unison with the serenity of the ending of the film. There's so much to talk about in this, honestly. I just adore movies told through a child's perspective (this reminded me of Room and The Florida Project, for example), they just make you see the world with so much more clarity and simplicity, instead of the storm in a teacup we, adults, make of it sometimes.

This was so creative and captivating from start to finish. Have a few lose ends that i want to do some research about that left me a bit unsatisfied but mostly i loved it! I want Jordan Peele's mind (not in a Get Out sort of way just i wish i was as creative as him jhfjsh)

This movie gets more and more interesting with each watch, there's so many underlying themes, there's so much to interpret and think about. All the twists and turns. Absolutely brilliant. I upped it from an 8 to a 9 the last time I watched it, and this time i'm giving it a full 10. I'm obsessed.

will i ever not be annoyed by this movie? probably not. 3rd time watching it and it still doesn't rock my boat. the screenplay is one of the worst in the mcu movies, sooo corny. them building their own villain is boring, because it doesn't take the story further, it's like a hiccup they had to pass by to continue their avenging of problems NOT caused by them (Thanos' attempts), but that doesn't make for a good movie (altho i will say i REALLY like the angle of the consequences of the Avengers' actions, that then builds up to Civil War, because it's important to understand they might be powerful but they still have to answer for their mistakes - maybe i'm slightly team Iron Man oops). Besides there's just so much melodrama in this movie, and I'm all for a little bit of emotion thrown into the action spectacle but please do it tastefully... don't have Natasha and Bruce suck face while a whole city is flying in the air, getting ready to drop and destroy half the human race like....
On the upside, I like some of the character development we get in this movie like Clint's, Natasha's AND Bruce's (but not the parts that involve one another). I love the twins, I LOVE Pietro SOOOO much, every time i watch this I can't help but be heartbroken for what he could have been in the future, especially cus Wanda without him just doesn't captivate me as much.
All in all it's exactly what a 7 means on this site: good. But it's an avengers movie ffs, avengers movies are supposed to be FANTASTIC. And this one will always make me sad because it was a waste of my favourite team of people ever.

Brilliant! An incredibly absorbing journey through life in Rio de Janeiro's favelas. The way the story is told makes for such a gripping watching experience. The vibrancy and intensity of these communities shines through in the images and pacing of the film. Loved every minute, even if some parts were really really shocking.

THIS EPISODE FUCKING SLAPPED IM SPEECHLESS
The greatest performer of this generation, and to me, personally, of all time. Beyoncé's a FORCE. But this documentary shows that she's human too and that made it all the more brilliant. No one compares.
How you gone watch this and tell me Steve and Bucky arent in love

This was like a lifetime movie on drugs. But i could look at Blake Lively and Henry Golding for the rest of my life and never get bored.

An interesting watch that keeps you on edge from the start, despite its slow pace. Joaquin's performance is brutal. Somehow I felt it needed a stronger ending like [spoiler] him saving a lot more girls [/spoilers].

Three unbelievable stories, one incredible film.

I loved this film so so much. Gia was an angel, they couldn't have picked anyone better to play her than Angelina.

I've never had such a complicated relationship with a movie in my life. First of all, i've never had higher expectations for a movie in life, i've never wanted to love a movie so bad, and i've never been so anxious about a movie before. That's why after my first watch, because it was just SO different from previous marvel movies, I was quite disappointed. I was sad over it being the end, I was sad about the deaths, but i was also sad about not loving it as much as i wanted to. I've just done my second rewatch today and as much as it's not at all close to being my favourite mcu film of all time, i've made my peace with all the things I didn't like about it as just took as what it's meant to be: an epic farewell to the mcu as we know it, to the team that I fell in love with all those years ago. Goddamn it, i'm gonna miss them, i am going to miss them SO much. Will take a long time to recover from this one, that is if i ever will.
Thank you, Avengers. Thank you, Tony. Thank you, Steve. Thank you, Natasha. Thank you, Clint. Thank you, Thor. Thank you, Bruce. Thank you, Marvel.

THIS MOVIE IS SO FREAKING UNDERRATED. It's so full of heart and Andrew and Emma have one the best chemistries i've actually ever seen in any movie. It's wild how it was made in 2012 but looks SO recent and fresh. This was the movie that first made me fall in love with the super-hero genre and it will always be special to me for that reason. Had to make sure I still loved it enough to have it on my top 5 super hero movies of all time and damn right I do.
