perfect episode is perfect. i love this show and the people in it.
THIS FU*KING SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS GODDAMN FU*CKING SHOW.
This show had its ups and downs but this final season made up for it all. Bringing everything back from the very first season, tying it all together, putting Annalise properly front and centre, bringing the show back to the courtroom where it belongs, turning everyone against one another, ruining relationships and building new ones. Killing Asher, Bonnie and Frank is ruthless and painful after you've followed them for 6 whole seasons but it wouldn't be HTGAWM without high stakes, pain and shocking deaths. Absolutely loved everything about this ending, especially Annalise getting her happy ending with my girl Tegan. Been watching this show since day one, gonna miss it, and gonna miss Viola Davis' Annalise Keaing especially - one of the greatest characters of all time, portrayed by arguably the best actor of our generation. Goodbye How To Get Away With Murder, thank you for the wild ride!!
i really love this shooooooow :((((
this is the dream episode for any shipper omg now im wishing every fictional couple i love could have an episode like this, but sadly not every show is as bonkers as AoS
such an awesome episode omg
im too dumb for this show honestly, but all i know is that im having the best time ever watching this season, it's just so fun and creative
wow...... this show is not afraid to go there. absolutely brilliant episode, and quickly becoming one of my favourite shows ever.
the writers/directors decided to have as much fun as possible on their very last season and it’s marvellous (pun intended). it must be awesome being on this set!
my favourite show forever <3
dont mind me.. just rewatching this again and crying
HELLO my favourite show of all time is back and the first episode was beautiful. LETS GET ITTTTT
entertainment at its finest, army really is spoiled with the content we get omg
EMILY AND SUE ARE GONNA RUIN MY LIFE. THEY ARE GONNA RUIN. MY. LIFE.
finally watching this iconic show and my GOD i thought run producers were insane but the ppl in charge of bon voyage are just another kind of crazy
This seems so exciting, very much looking forward to watching the rest! Also, the lighting work was gorgeous in this episode - I bet the cinematography is gonna be to die for in this show.
This show is fucked uuuuup but it's so well made.
Listen, I know this episode was incredibly melodramatic and the car crash and the scene at the airport were majorly over the top but then you'll have scenes like Jack and Kev at the bar, or the end scene and you're just like......... "how does this show do it every damn time....". How many episodes have we had about Jack as a father, Jack as a son, how many episodes have we had about family, both blood and found? And still, the most impactful This Is Us episodes are the ones that go back to the very pillars and essence of the show, rewrite the same scene we've seen about 10 times in a slightly different light, and hit you like a ton of bricks again, every single time. That's the magic of this show, and I understand that as time goes on it can't be as focused on Jack anymore, but there's no doubt that the very best episodes always revolve around him somehow.
Right so this was exactly the type of episode that had been missing for this entire season. This is the type of insanity, fun and sexiness that made me fall in love with this show in the first season, and that was severely lacking in this one thus far (the opera episode was a step in the right direction). The theme of death by fame and subsequent invisibility of the artist and the way they compared the romantic aspects of it to the negative sides of it - Amherst's black community's very real and very painful invisibility and lack of political voice - was brilliant. The party scenes at the barn were soooo good, Austin being able to see Emily was such a pleasing surprise (i'd love to read theories about it) and Wiz Khalifa (the king of Season 1) finally returning as Death was just the cherry on top.
Lastly, I'm a huge fan of the Emily x Sue relationship but I don't even mind that last scene because it's done SO well and I love Sue going completely crazy/reckless and showing a bit of a mean streak, my girl's been too complacent her entire life and Emily has clearly been dismissing her lately.
SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. I love this show sm, it’s been more than 4 years and it STILL makes my heart full with almost every episode. This is a weird thought to have but I cannot wait till I have a family of my own and can rewatch this (my bad memory will make a lot of it feel like a first watch) and relive it all again.
The show finally going back to its season 1 glory!!!!!!!! too bad it only happened in the last episodes ://
this whole show just honestly feels like a treat for the fans who've watched every little thing in the MCU, and even more so I imagine for fans of the comics. It's the MCU "offspring" that's felt the most like "this is for the fans!!" and not as much a "you can consume this movie/show on its own so don't be turned off by all the movies that came before!" type thing. I love it, it makes me feel so proud to understand every single movie reference.
I AM WRITING FROM MY GRAVE!!!!
this show slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaps. i'm gonna miss it so much, it was the highlight of my weeks!
It was an okay ending.. I felt like they were too ambitious throughout the season and then couldn't really deliver at the end. The whole Agatha witchery stuff felt low budget and badly acted (the actress excels as Agnes, in a comedic register tho). Highlights were the Vision vs. Vision confrontation and Wanda in her final Scarlet Witch costume. The after credits scene with Monica was exciting too! Now I cannot wait for Falcon and The Winter Soldier!!
Man, this show's start-of-the-season slow burns always have such great pay-offs. This episode felt like a finale, it was THAT good. I was dumb for taking so long to finally watching this season smh
Whyyy did it take me so long to watch this season????? This is one of the best efforts from Marvel ever.
holy shit this was the best episode of the season
Ahhhhhh i’m so happy they are not shying away from the tough conversations on what it means to be Captain America in this decade. I love symbolism in storytelling and there’s no stronger symbol than that shield, and the way they have used it as a vehicle and representative of the different American identities (good and (really) bad) has been incredible.
Steve Rogers, John Walker, Sam Wilson and Isaiah Bradley all represent sides of the US that co-exist, and John Walker being the effective Captain America for most of this show isn’t accidental - he’s the side of America that’s most present and salient right now (in the world off the screen), but ending the show with Sam Wilson carrying that shield - and going through all the issues that that might bring up - is as powerful a message as any - one of hope and of what the US should aspire to be. Steve Rogers is no longer enough, Steve Rogers is the American Dream - Isaiah Bradley the American Reality - and Sam Wilson is both. This show, and all of Captain America’s storyline, is about so much more than just men in spandex and they’ve done a fantastic job taking it even further here. Glad Marvel is still delivering after so many years, makes me proud to be a fan!
SAM WILSON SIR...... HAND IN MARRIAGE PLEASE??????????????
okay so now that my proposal is out of the way (i love sam wilson), a couple of things:
kind of upset they killed Karli and gave that Walker asshole a semi redemption arc where he saves a bunch of people instead of getting revenge... it made me gag. I hate him (really do not care about that USAgent crap unless it's to write him off eventually). Even if Karli IS dead, the Flag Smashers storyline was surprisingly well done, they really gave them more voice and more respect than I thought they would. It is a very worthy cause and incredibly relevant as of right now, with the current migrant crisis - having Sam see the good in it and defend them in that incredible speech was pleasantly surprising. That was truly the highlight of the episode - when he told those powerful world leaders that the helplessness they felt against Thanos is the same helplessness the underprivileged feel against them every day... that HIT HARD (Anyone who's been paying attention knows Thanos was always the stand in for dictators and imperialists, but it's great that they've finally driven the point home). Anthony Mackie did a great job this whole season, Sam Wilson is the perfect Captain America (did I mention I love him?). Bucky took a little bit of a backseat which is totally fine, he's had more screentime in the films over the years, it feels balanced. Sebastian and Anthony's chemistry is undeniable, I hope we get a second season or a film cus they're too good to waste.
The Power Broker reveal... everyone and their mothers saw it coming, bit underwhelming. I'm interested to see what they do with Sharon's character now, she's incredibly hot as a rogue spy criminal boss lady.
Also, beyond Sam's speech, the scene with Isaiah at the museum sent chills all up my spine. This show is really important for the current moment we've living in. Marvel did great. PLEAAAASE give me a second season.
