Everyone out here complaining about the ending. I’m just really upset my dude died his hair that hideous red color
One of the best episodes of x men. Period. Holy catfish it was good. Also did anyone notice APOCALPYSE in the opening. Holy catfish this episode was good.
I think this is the best episode of all xmen tas. Secondly I love how the music changes completely at the end of the episode. Little things like that make this show fire
There is exactly one chance to redeem this season in my mind, and it's if Sam gets banished in the last episode. The Faithfuls absolutely do not deserve to win, but god do I not want that smug, smarmy jerk Sam to win either so I suppose I am rooting for Blake and Camile to screw him right at the end and take the money for themselves.
You know how I said the season 5 finale was kind of lame? This was better, but far from totally satisfying. I know a few decades is nothing when you have an eternity to look forward to, but it still sucks that Chloe had to be a single mother. It's not fair to her. I cried so much when Deckerstar were saying goodbye (a really messy, snotty cry). All the little callbacks like Chloe playing that simple melody on the piano were so sweet and Lauren and Tom really did a breathtaking job. But still, it didn't have to be this way. I think it would've been much better if Lucifer had chosen to commute to Hell and still be in Rory's life, and that moment had created an alternate timeline - so that Rory from the original timeline still arrived to fullfil her purpose, but everything from that point on was different. IMO that would've been much better than the time loop idea. When it comes to time travel, you can pretty much get away with any bullshit explanation anyway. Everyone else ended up in a really good place, so at least that was nice. Maze and Eve kicking ass and taking names together, Charlie sprouting wings... I liked all of that. Also they really got Tricia Helfer to come back without giving her any dialogue lmao.
I will miss this show. Even though I feel like it had run its course and there weren't any stories left to tell, I'm still a little sad to see it go. It wasn't a perfect show, but it had some great moments, especially when it rose above the case of the week stuff and focused more on the celestial side of things and the relationships between the characters. It had such an interesting, diverse and lovable bunch of characters who all changed and grew in organic ways. The humor was always top notch, but the show also had some genuine emotion and a lot of heart. All in all, I will remember Lucifer fondly.
EDIT: After giving myself some time to fully digest this season and this final episode, I realized that there is something deeply messed up about a show that has always been about free will - Lucifer choosing to stay on Earth, Amenadiel choosing humanity, Chloe choosing to love Lucifer (remember how big of a deal the "does she only have feelings for me because she's a gift from God?" debacle was?), Maze choosing to develop human emotions and form connections with people, Eve choosing her own path after literally being made for someone else - not giving its leads any choice in the end and forcing them to follow a predetermined path. Again, the alternate timeline idea was right there and it would've reaffirmed the show's message that you make your own fate.
another wasted 40 minutes of my life. I wish I was the kind of person to leave shows half way.
Quite enjoyed this series/season but didn't like the ending one bit.
So Jack brought all the people back, but not Cas? Seriously? And why no "Carry On Wayward Son" in the final montage?
two episodes ago i lost interest in this show but after ep08 and ep09 i cant wait for the next episodes
definitely the best show i have ever watched.
Nothing could have prepared me for episode 4. It is extremely dark and upsetting. That episode was hard to watch knowing that really happened to author in real life. Episode 4 left me emotionally drained. My brain needed a break.
I have to say up to this moment I was really frustrated with watching Donny making bad decisions with regards to the Martha situation, Donny’s insane lack of boundaries got on my nerves. But in this episode he finally admitted Martha was giving him the attention that he craved, as he said, “Martha saw me the way I wanted to be seen.”
Sarah might be the single worst contestant I have ever seen on a reality strategy show. Thankfully Camille stopped up from the worst possible ending with an all-timer TV moment
How is it possible that family with 3 kids can do whatever they want and go around the world, but we barely see someone go to work?
Lucifer taking the time to tell everyone how much he appreciates them is definitely one of the highlights of the season. The scene with Maze was sooo emotional. I started sobbing midway through it and had to pause the episode because I couldn't stop. I love their relationship so much and I'm glad Lucifer acknowledged that he hasn't always treated her great. That was a real sign of growth from him. Also setting up a foundation in Ella's name? Who's chopping onions in here?
I hate how they keep sidelining Trixie. She's Chloe's daughter and Rory's sister, and even if she can't know the full truth, she should've been included in the family beach outing. But I also can't be completely mad when Lauren German really looked like an absolute angel in that scene and Deckerstar were at their softest. Just like Rory, I want to keep the mental image of the two of them curled up on the sand, just enjoying each other. Plus, Trixie got her absolutely heart-wrenching scene with Dan, so I suppose it all worked out. The fact that he needed that conversation to get into Heaven was so sweet.
The last episode of season 5 would've been a really lame series finale, so I really hope they came up with something better this time around. This was an all right premiere, but nothing special. Maze and Eve working through their issues with a little bit of nudging from Linda was nice and their engagement brought a huge smile to my face. They look so damn good together too! I love them. Chloe and Lucifer continue to be adorable. The case wasn't super interesting, but the setting was kinda fun. And I'm really curious who's sitting on the throne of Hell. Could it be one of Lucifer or Maze's siblings?
Really love that moment between Walter and Jane's father but it was so sad to see that Walter let Jane die.
Piss off. This was not the ending the series or the characters deserved after everything.
The first half of this episode was good but then it kinda just felt a bit rushed and simplistic, somehow. Also, if this isn't the final ever episode what was with the finale-style montage? I can't see the point or purpose of an additional episode, unless it's perhaps to set up a spin-off series.
The other Scully makes an appearance!
That so called 'specialist' that was doing the chest compressions at the end there was useless; first of all - he was basically just doing push ups rather than actually, yknow, pumping the chest, secondly - he wasn't even TOUCHING the guys chest his hands were hovering half an inch over it.
Also why would any doctor let a random man in a suit yell at their patient for answers while he's coding? That looked like a sterile room, he shouldn't have been in there at all.
An alien craft crashes in Wisconsin. Mulder investigates on his own and gets caught. He meets a UFO chaser named Max Fenig. There's an invisible alien running around and the military is trying to catch it. A mothership picks up the alien (I think) and picks up Max (I think) because Max had been abducted before (I think). Mulder gets in trouble with the FBI but Deep Throat, who had told Mulder that the space ship had crashed in the first place, gets him out of the jam.
Secondary characters in this episode: Max Fenig, Deep Throat
At least they don’t have to build a new throne now that Bran is king.
Blake and Camille have got to be stupidest people I can think of, there is no way Sam was ever going to share. They could have easily voted him out instead of Sarah.
it took me so long to get through this episode because i was so pissed off at everyone i kept stopping. i’ll be furious if Will wins, and Meryl and Hannah don’t deserve it either they’ve played awfully. would be happy tbh if Kieran betrayed Will and won on his own. or somehow if Aaron won on his own
They said it has to be a boy because the other 2 traitors were girls... then they vote a girl off.
putting this comment in when i’m only ten minutes in so who knows what will happen BUT maddie is so infuriating. she’s accidentally latched on to wilf and caught aaron in the crossfire for no good reason and then she thinks because people are saying she’s wrong that she’s right lol. i’m mad
edit after the mission: red group just sauntering along i’d have been furious if i was literally buried lol. nightmare
edit after the round table: actually furious at amanda… alyssa has been playing the game better than will the whole time and this is what amanda does…. furious
The judge was more shocked by Ambrose's behavior than by Jamie's. Imagine being a detective and letting your psycho suspect bury you alive.
So disappointed in this season. I know it's a tv show, but this is getting way too far fetched. Jamie has killed two people, yet he is a free man. I'm hoping for a big twist in the finale that redeems the whole season.
I love this show with all my heart, it's one of my comfort shows. That being said, the ONE thing i did not want to see in the finale season was a Deckerstar baby. I wish they had gone the route of the apocalypse and trying to stop that from happening instead of what they did. It's hard to care about a character that feels forced and out of place (like Lucifer literally can't procreate and hates kids lmfao). While the very end was good, and all the supporting characters got great endings, the child put a big damper on it for me. And they completely forgot about poor Trixie. There's no way she wouldn't have been there for her mom's death. Why did she never learn the truth about Lucifer? Was she just supposed to go along with suddenly having a new sister that has no father? She lost her dad and then Lucifer back to back. They did her so wrong imo.
Of all the crazy nonsense the show has done, the most unbelievable of all is that some random nutter could find, subdue, and chain up an angry angel with wings made of razor-sharp metal.
And then they follow that up with a complete bullshit ending where the main characters have to be kept apart?
This is another classic example of why shows should avoid time travel. As cool a character as Rory was, she wasn't worth the total fuckery of that as a way to finish such a beloved series.
There is absolutely no reason that Lucifer couldn't do that job with a daily commute. 8 hours Earth time in Hell would be plenty to spend guiding souls to Heaven.
Again Iris getting too much screen/story time. They are going the way of Supergirl and giving side characters too much. The show is called The Flash for a reason... dont ruin this.
OK the second part of this double feature was quite underwhelming in the end. I'd have preferred a whole season of the vampire storyline tbh. Pity.
I had no idea Cassie wasn't going to make it. I'm guessing Nicola Walker just wanted to move on as it's been a very well received series. Hopefully it'll return for a fifth series (and more) - casting her replacement is going to be a very critical choice!
