The people complaining about Vanya transitioning to Viktor should probably just stop watching and spare the rest of us. It doesn't take away from the story, the show's literal creator embraced it, why can't that be good enough?
A few minutes in and Iron Fist / Danny Rand is already getting on my nerves.
i just know the "i got one" will be ted telling rebecca he's leaving and im not ready :sob:
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY BUILT UP BLACK NOIR'S BACKSTORY THIS SEASON TO MAKE HIM DIE LIKE GARBAGE......... I KNOW THEY KNOW THAT THEY COULD'VE DONE MUCH BETTER.
It went amazingly fast. I did not see that hour go by. What a great episode!
This show had no absolutely no right being as good as it was. What a fantastic surprise this has been.
Talk about shit getting out of hand.
The action sequences were solid, particularly the martial arts, and the casting and acting were also fine but the script is a mess, the pacing is off, and the second half feels goofy and disjointed from the first half. The second half action was difficult to follow and felt like a DC cluster f--- aimed at the Chinese market. HOWEVER, I am looking forward to seeing Shang-Chi utilized in the future films.
The first few episodes start off a bit shakey and a lot of the characters initially start off a bit dense and/or one dimensional. I would urge you to give it another go and get through a couple of episodes. After that, this show proves it is entirely worthy of the score and praise it gets.
Why do film studios have to spell stuff out for us , we are not idiots. The fact that we knew Adaline never aged from the start was a bad move. The studio should have kept us guessing...make the audience work. Why was Adaline on the Run?, Why did she have to keep changing identities?. The big reveal should have been when Adaline met Ellis' father. A great film but could have been so much better. As soon as this movie hits blu ray. I am going to make my own edit.
The clicker scene was masterfully translated from video game to live action, the tension was insane! Incredible episode.
To be enjoyed like a long, rambling fantasy novel -- not like a punchy action flick (though it is sometimes also that).
I admit I was a little floored when I saw the subjects touched as I didn't expect them to be dealt with in 99, but as it was getting on I really appreciated the way it was done: delicately and with the show's usual humour, in this case even in dealing with these serious stuff.
There are different ways of facing society's problems, and talking about them even in a lighter way (as for a comedy, rather than a drama) is always a nice start.
I love how for some there are certain topics so touchy that just have to be ignored or that make anyone who talks about them "woke". Some of you Americans are weird
This movie outsmarted me at every turn!! I loved it. So fun.
This truly was the perfect goodbye indeed. Great mix of humor and emotion. Loved all the callbacks and the returning characters. I will miss this bunch of wackos and their shenanigans.
Sam Raimi brings us Evil Dead for the Marvel Universe.
The secrets of Vaults 31-32-33 are so far the most interesting thing going on, which is pretty on par with how exploring vaults in the games is some of the most interesting thing to do.
RPGs in a nutshell: "Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time."
With every episode I wonder "how in the world can they top that?" And yet with each new episode, I am blown away by how amazing it is. There are no low points in this show. Each episode builds beautifully off of the previous one.
Series Guide says I've watched over 50 days of TV shows and yet this is still my favorite. It's such a geniusly made show.
In a show where people are killed all the time I really hope Sherry is one of these people and I hope it happens pretty soon.
Best comedy on TV! So idiotic it's genius!
Well, well, well. Why, is this an Amish production of The Count of Monte Cristo or just the weirdest circle jerk I've been invited to?
The first episode was.. perfectly splendid.
Poor whale man.... wish there were more episodes. I knew storm front was a bitch but I didn’t expect her to be as evil as homelander, woah.
I get that some people didn't like the tonal shift of this episode and interruption of the main plot, but I loved all the Star Wars references/parallels.
El trying to pull the train car was obviously reminiscent of Luke trying lift his X-Wing in The Empire Strikes Back (except that El succeeded!). Kali essentially tempted El with the dark side of the Force by teaching her use anger to strengthen her powers. Kali even manipulates El into force choking one of "the bad men" almost to death before El has a change of heart.
In the end, El chose to use happy, loving memories (not angry, painful ones) to connect to her friends and, discovering that they are in danger, left Kali to save them. This is similar how Luke had a vision of Han and Leia in danger and left Yoda to save them.
The questions remaining after this episode: Is El walking into a trap like Luke did? Can Kali be redeemed? Will she return to Hawkins to help El? Would her powers even be effective against the demogorgons or the shadow monster?
i know who would love this technology. the answer is orange and lives in a white house.
Jesus Christ!! That last minute :joy:. Just.... holy sh*t. Great episode.
