Very sweet and funny. Main character is a trans boy, very nice
This is how you do an action movie. Just the right amount of everything without being over the top. Spot on !
This was the best episode of the season. And that says a lot.
Ah, I love it when I genuinely have fun when watching a murder mystery! I hope they'll manage to write another extravagantly entertaining adventure for Benoit Blanc's third screen exploit!
Oh, by the way, with everything that's been going on with Twitter, was anyone else eerily reminded of the mercurial "Chief Twit"'s antics when witnessing Miles Bron's chaotic decisionmaking? I don't think this was originally intended, but that character now definitely feels like a parody of Elon Musk lol
5 minutes later: he builds a whole castle for himself
37 minutes later: he's STILL screaming, that was hilarious
I also loved the hug between Enid and Wednesday at the end. Their friendship was one of my favorite parts of the series.
I was craving an Ava episode for some time, I'm glad it happened and didn't disappoint.
"The hell even is this? Another pyramid scheme?"
"It's only a scheme if you're at the bottom of the pyramid and obviously ... I'm a top."
This was a good episode. Ava had too many great lines, truly the female version of Michael Scott. I like it when Ava is pushed to grow outside her comfort zone. She does need the other serious characters to play off though, so it's not just one note. She and all that damn sugar in her coffee is one of my favorite lowkey constants.
"The emergency is ... I don’t feel like it right now!" - Total mood, Mr. Johnson.
Melissa and Barbara are such an iconic duo.
Funny that the returning word in the episode titles is "Woe", which is the common abbreviation of "Woensdag", the dutch word for "Wednesday".
Gomez and Morticia look and act and are amazing, I have no idea why people complained about their casting. This episode finally feels like the show is digging its heels into what it wants to be, but I still don't understand why it's trying to push Wednesday and Tyler. I'm so glad my favorite beeby is not going to be missing from the rest of the show, he's such a nice little dude and seeing that Eugene has two supportive mothers made me smile. Also speaking of parental figures, Morticia and Wednesday's conflict being resolved this early was a surprise but a very welcome one. I just want to see them happy (well, relatively anyways lmao). Also x2, seeing Enid stand up to her mother and get a big hug from her father, even getting some supportive words of encouragement almost made me tear up a little. This show is such a nice gift for this holiday season. My Halloween didn't really go as planned and neither did my Thanksgiving so this is a very very welcome addition to my November.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is amazing and still looks good. I don’t know why anyone complained about the casting of her and Gomez. They’re both great actors and they play the characters well.
Oh damn, Thing hiding inside a skull, cracked up at that.
I hate projectile puke scenes, they cheapen shows and movies. Other than that it was a good episode.
Maybe I'm not in the right frame of mind but this was just fine? I understand it's the character and this is what she's known for, but between the eye-rolling dialogue and the overtly edgy interplay between the characters, I'm just not sure this series is for me. I will stick around to see if the overarching mystery takes hold and grips me, but this feels like another nostalgia mine from Netflix to try and stay relevant to the aging millennials in their subscriber pool. Jenna and Gwen are good though, glad they're getting different roles to try out their range.
"When I look at you, the following emojis come to mind: rope, shovel, hole."
What an icon.
That ending was NOT it, I need season 4 already!
i did not watch this whole show for her to do it with ben. tell me i just hallucinated. excuse me?? right after the last scene w her mom????
That K.E.V.I.N part was brilliant and on point
why is everyone hating on this finale???? i think this is the most fun watching experience since wandavision era
I'd bet you anything if Deadpool did the same meta moment, dudebros would praise it.
Jen breaking 4th wall like it's nothing
JEN AND MATT ARE SO FREAKING CUTE
Don’t listen to the people saying DD is “ruined” from this episode, apparently they’ve never read the comics OR remember the show (or expect someone to dump all their trauma onto a character they just met in a legal comedy? Some people are really writing these reviews without a single actual critical lens).
This was a fun episode and I had a great time - though one of my biggest criticisms is the overarching plot that they’ve been trying to establish. It has a lot of potential, but the pacing of this storyline has been off for me the entire show. Besides the CGI it’s one of my biggest gripes, and I felt it again towards the end of this episode. There’s only one episode left and I really don’t know that it’s going to get concluded in a way I feel is satisfying, though that’s something I’ll have to wait until the finale to properly review.
Besides that though I had such a great time - it was SO great seeing Matt again and Leapfrog was a funny inclusion. Despite my above reservations I’m excited for the finale and seeing how this is going to go.
As someone (apparently) without any sense of good taste, I found this episode to be highly amusing and thoroughly enjoyable. Haters gonna hate.
Sam Wilson is MY Captain America.
My only issue with this otherwise yet another hilarious episode is that they never explain how Mr Immortal has actually managed to get himself repeatedly declared dead. Who's filling out the paperwork and certification for that when he immediately springs up from every situation? There's no remains left behind for a certificate to be attached to, no long legal process to legally declare a missing body dead. If anything, he'd be declared revived/resuscitated every time. Still, it's a deeply amusing plot.
This show is so much fun! Jessica Gao and the writers really embraced the Dan Slott's run, made it modern for the MCU, and then the cast just runs with it. Ginger Gonzaga is a delight to watch... and this week we got PATTI HARRISON!!! so happy this series exists
