"People don't stop watching when there's a conflict. They stop watching when there isn't one."
Unfortunately that quote above is very true when it comes to media. This movie brings up important topics and it is important to tell these stories. That being said, wish the narrative and pacing was just a little more focused.
It takes something special to keep me hooked to the screen and stop me from picking my phone etc, this film gripped me from the 1st minute, absolutely superb & worrying at the same time, give it a watch 5*
Overall you can describe this as a nice try maybe? I mean it has nice cgi and overall a ok story. Those love story things inbetween.. matter of taste. At the end i cannot rate more than a weak 4 on this. Keep trying with a story based on this!
Too much stupidity and too many absurdly bad decisions to be considered a good movie. Action is good, choreographies are great but the character is just too stupid.
8/10
Great movie, Affleck his performance was sublime. The movie had some deep “never give up” & “we have to move forward in life” parts.
If you were wondering If they won the final game. it isn’t important. They won as individuals and as a team. Even coach who wasn’t even there anymore.
This is a parable with its own reality. For me, it was about two lovers surviving as they take on each other's demons. It is always wonderful to hear Gordon Pinsent's voice, and he makes a great bear. What drew me to this film was Tatiana excellence as an actor, the startlingly beautiful north, and the fact that it is a uniquely Canadian production, none of which disappointed. Not a film for everyone, it definitely has the hallmarks of an independent film, and I give it a 7 (good) out of 10.
I finally decided to watched it and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed !!
The last Scene made me feel both sad and happy at the same time.
It shows the pain of being different and how it feels to be discriminated and the humiliation that comes with it.
Suffers from the usual issues with this kind of movies: thin story, weak script, clichéd characters, little science, tons of fiction. CGI isn't top notch either, it varies a lot. The scenes in space look ok but those showing the catastrophes are bad by todays standars. maybe the budget ran out.
But grab a beer and some popcorn, don't ask questions and you may get some entertainment out of it.
It did not meet my expectations that were set by the original trailers that Zack Snyder released. The fun parts are childish due to Whedon reshoots. Characters are deep, but they got dumbed down by reshoots, and the story is simplified.
The flashback scene is beyond awesome. Be sure to stay all the way until the end because the 2nd after credits scene is so good, it will blow your mind.
Also, I am hoping there will be a Snyder Cut because 2 hours just felt too short for this movie, and I know there are a lot more scenes that were cut for theatrical release, just like with BvS and SS.
All in all, it was a decent movie, but we deserve to see the real version of this movie as Zack Snyder intended it to be.

''At some point [with Alzheimer's], there would simply be no point. I have no control over which yesterdays I keep and which ones get deleted. This disease will not be bargained with.
I will forget today, but that doesn't mean that today doesn't matter.I used to know how the mind handled language, and I could communicate what I knew. I used to be someone who knew a lot. No one asks for my opinion or advice anymore. I miss that. I used to be curious and independent and confident. I miss being sure of things. There's no peace in being unsure of everything all the time. I miss doing everything easily. I miss being a part of what's happening. I miss feeling wanted. I miss my life and my family.
My yesterdays are disappearing, and my tomorrows are uncertain, so what do I live for? I live for each day. I live in the moment. Some tomorrow soon, I'll forget that I stood before you and gave this speech. But just because I'll forget it some tomorrow doesn't mean that I didn't live every second of it today.''
Brokeback Mountain was okay... The storytelling wasn't very compelling, you're just watching things unfold on-screen. The very start of the relationship didn't seem very realistic to me, I can't imagine that sort of thing just happening when they've been brought up in a society where that sort of behaviour would be stigmatised, to say the least. They don't even have any chemistry or connection really, they just happened to be lonely and circumstances brought them together. I mean, sure, their relationship's complicated and there's a lot of things left unsaid, but really, for the first summer, it was just a physical relationship with the added benefit of comfort. Jack's only hung up on him because it's the first such relationship he's ever had – it could have been anybody really – and they only became much closer later on because of nostalgia goggles and a lack of responsibilities when together. I liked that it was subtle in showing things, but I just didn't really care in the end. The wives were far more sympathetic characters than either of their husbands. I guess I can see why people might really enjoy the movie if they actually cared about the relationship, but I can't help but feel like a lot of the praise is solely because of the subject matter.
I wish I knew how to quit you.
You would absolutely love this movie almost as much as I did, maybe more.
I was so used to horror movies after watching them for years as every time the enemy pulls out their weapon, I would know a couple spots the weapon would hit a second or two before it happens. But this movie, man. I LOVED it! This movie actually made me twitch and even look away, as the enemy didn't have a weapon, because the enemy WAS the weapon!
I loved the twist at the end. If it wasn't for that 5 - 10 second close up on the fishers face, I would've never known they switched places. Wait, was that the same capsule Deadpool was in? Conspiracy, lmao
A weak script and some horrible cameos (Christopher Biggins, Barry Humphries, Emma Bunton) but the movie is still fun thanks to Saunders and Lumley who are absolutely fabulous.
I have watched 54% of this movie and I am waiting for it to be scary. Best part so far was the bathroom scene.
Silly movie. Not great, but watchable. I think its overrated...I didnt like Pennywise, he was oveeer the top... And for a horror movie its really not scary...they tried with a few jump scares, but for me thats just lazy. Few decent scenes, more bad ones... And I have to say that Sophia Lillis was great as Beverly! 6/10

Insanely disturbing. Mark Ruffalo is quickly becoming a must see, this, “Spotlight” and “Foxcatcher” not a bad triple header.

Same old tedious super hero film. It's a shame that with a female director and female lead they still felt the need to to make such a teenage boys wet dream of a film.
Had more hopes for this being DC than the recent marvel dross but really there's nothing here to get your hopes up for.
Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich?!
Translation:
The fuck did I just watch
I watched it out of curiosity. I love the director's Truth or Dare documentary. This felt too slick compared to that one. Like the standard pop doc
Absolutely Terrible. The plot is paper thin. There's a few enjoyable throw backs, but it doesn't make up for the absolutely terrible story. As for Megan Fox, I didn't really notice her because I couldn't get over the weak plot. The CGI is decent, except for Shedder who is mediocre at best. The humor is a weird mix of humor too mature for kids but not mature enough for adults. Actually that is essentially the problem with this movie. It's PG-13 rating (primarily for the humor and partially for the action) puts it in a weird position. TMNT has always been an amazing series for the 7-12 age range. Michael Bay attempted to make a movie for the adult fans of the series. However, it never became dark enough to hold the attention of anyone over the age of 12. Maybe download it or rent it off Redbox, if you want a 'trip down memory lane'. But honestly, I still would just rather watch the 90s cartoon series.
