This movie is absolutely amazing and I don't understand all the negative reviews. Really? You didn’t understand what this movie is about? Really? You were expecting a horror, fantastical movie?

Let me make it easy for you. This movie is about depression. Being at a strange place. Not feeling belonging to a place. This is like Lars von Trier’s Melancholia. Except this is much better and less boring than Lars von Trier’s movie.

I was planing on watching this movie in 2-3 sittings thinking it will be slow but this movie completely surprised me and I watched it from start to end. Juno Temple plays so well in this and I could completely understand her pain.

One thing I didn't get, did he commit suicide? He said he wouldn't at the end.

This was so bad. Just watch the original 1978 with Peter Ustinov. First, Kenneth Branagh is so bad as Poirot. He can't speak just 2 words of French. Don't they have dialect coaches? The Game of Thrones girl was also so bad and fake with her accent. Just embarrassing in 2022 and it takes you right out of the movie. 44 years ago, they actually chose actors who could speak the parts they were supposed to play.

The movie is also bad on other levels. You get no character development outside the main 3. In the original you knew all the other characters. There is no fun, no humor, no tension. Not that the original is a comedy but it has a magical combination of humor and seriousness.

I just re-watched this for the second time. I can't describe how much I enjoyed it the second time, even more so than the first time.

I was kind of worried to see this again. It shows Queen Elizabeth like a mustache twirling villain and I didn't want to erase Cate Blanchett's performance watching these back to back. But as I said I really enjoyed it despite Margot Robbie's performance. I just consider it like a separate entity and you will enjoy Mary Stuart's story. I'm not even worried if they are historically accurate, I just enjoy them as stories exploring the human condition. (I was actually surprised how close this was to reality, I thought it was mostly fiction at first)

I will never forget the ending, Saoirse Ronan's composure and the music.

This movie is unbelievably racist. This is 2020. Removing several stars.

I feel pleased and in high spirits after having seen the movie. It's not a great movie, for the moment I rate it a little lower than The Force Awakens but it is a solid 7/10. It's not going lower. By comparison, I felt absolutely nothing after Episode 8. During "The Rise of Skywalker" I had tears several points in the movie, especially at the end. Overall I feel satisfied.

I really loved the general idea of the movie. The problem is, it's only half baked. They didn't have time. It's unfortunate they lost time developing the arc with the second movie. This happens when you don't plan a trilogy in advance.

Here is how I rate the sequel trilogy
1- The Force Awakens
2- The Rise of Skywalker
3-
4- The Last Jedi

Ralph Fiennes playing every role himself was very distracting.

Why didn't they switch the necklace? At the moment of robbery why didn't they put the fake one? It would have been a lot cleaner, not alerting everyone. When they "found" the fake necklace and returned it, it should have been a huge alert for them to check and see immediately that it is fake

This is definitely not better than the first one. They made several major mistakes. CG characters, CG animation is not scary. They went too far. The first one is as scary and disturbing as the Exorcist. I get easily scared but this movie broke something half way through with that dog thing that it was not scary anymore to me.

I enjoyed the remake more.

Denis Villeneuve is way overrated. He has no ear for good music. The music in his movies are atrocious and he is not good at directing either.

Many things didn't make sense. Why keep him alive at the beginning. Why be nice to him while he tried to kill them as much as he could until the last moment?

I watched this for the second time and was surprised how much I disliked it. The whole old age stuff and scenes totally unnecessary.

This was way too gory for a comedy of this kind.

I was going to give this a high rating but the last half of the movie was not good.

This would have been even better if the boys didn't leave. And a small group of people were stranded for real without the possibility of going out. Getting to know each other and learn something from one another.

I didn't like this very much. Too disjointed. Mixing scenes from different times where they have their own specific feelings and emotions doesn't work. Overall no sense of wonder, bad use of effects and many other things.

The cinematography looked so ugly. I don't know how they made it look this bad.

Not good. They went way over their head with the story. Couldn't follow, couldn't understand the logic.

The AI idea was interesting but that needed a serious proper sci-fi drama to explore it. You don't infuse an action movie like MI with heavy stories.

And that top spy chief, you literally know and saw in this movie, they put masks on. Yet you are oblivious again! :smiley:
