Warning: CJ are known for plagiarism if you don't want to support that BS.
Basically just a clip show, I don't think there was any new content here. At least there's none of Shaun Robinson's subpar hosting, I guess?
Yo, this is missing https://trakt.tv/shows/zombies-addison-s-moonstone-mystery . :) (Feel free to remove my comment afterward if you'd like.)
MONSTERs AMONG us???
(Very sus.)
I know it hasn't officially released yet but I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the controversies yet here coming out at the time of me posting this comment.
Plenty of injuries and hospitalizations including some seizures due to many people's medication being withheld, starving people, making them sleep in cheap sleeping bags, taking their underwear(???) and not giving them any to wear, people getting away with assaulting others (especially men beating women) without getting penalized for it... and that isn't even all of it, BRUH???
Anyway, Jimmy (MrBeast) 4 jail, his company is trash and his philanthropy exists solely for clout, eat the rich, lol.
This is the worst "documentary" I've ever seen, not even exaggerating.
Why should we care about some actors rambling about their life and thoughts that are tangentially related to the JBR case? Like that guy who's into whipping nipples. What the hell?!
I know that some people think that the "casting/interview" format is neat... but just because it's unique, doesn't mean that it's good. It's pretty clunky, akin to somebody filming a scene in dozens of different angles because wow, a fight scene filmed from under a chair, and then from behind the house plant? No wait, what if I film somebody using the bathroom even when it doesn't relate to anything? UNIQUE!!! Although that would have been significantly more interesting than this dumpster fire of a documentary.
I feel bad for the children roped into participating into this. Their segments are just pretty damn awkward and it seems like they're just there so the director can feed them lines.
TL;DR: The director is a hack, 'nuff said. Either she's trying to get around paying royalties like another Trakt comment said, she's clinging to the JBR "brand" to get attention for her own original idea, or both. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I guess I'll avoid Kitty Green's works to make up for it.
Dank pun incoming, and it's:
Ducktales?!
uwu
Had this dude in my Watchlist for a while and kept putting it off, but giving JonTron a platform despite his sketchy history? Nah, son, bye. No valid reason for associating with somebody who's proudly anti-vax, racist, xenophobic, etc., much less multiple shitty things at the same time. This isn't some obscure fact, dude's vocal about his shitty viewpoints and his rabid fanboys are also vocal because guess what, modern JonTron fanboys are right-wingers, lol.
I'll stick to Know Your Meme and other sites when I want to know about internet history, at least I won't deal with garbage ads down my throat or shitty graphics.
If Netflix cancels this shit after one season, they're homophobic.
I "acquired" this and of course it's garbage that republicans think is the epitome of humor. Too bad this show doesn't identify as funny, amirite, fellow snowflakes?
The protag (why does his WIFE call him Birchum, she's married to him???) is a very poor mix of Hank Hill (King of the Hill) and Ron Swanson (Parks and Rec) but with none of the actual humor from them.
You're better off watching literally any other adult cartoon tbh, even the notoriously bad/meh ones like Brickleberry, lol.
It's cute enough for a kids show whose audience is 99% children, but I'm disappointed in Nickelodeon/Viacom/whoever for greenlighting this not just because Hillenburg didn't want any SBSP spin-offs, but because they waited until after his death to do so.
The writing is slightly dumbed down compared to the main show and fortunately isn't on par with hot garbage like Teen Titans Go, and I don't think the CGI animation is too bad either, but a lot of fans are also disappointed that they went with a cheaper-to-animate style over 2D animation.
I don't blame people for thinking that Nick/Viacom/whoever just wanted to make a cheap spin-off to entice people to subscribe to Paramount+, and I don't disagree. Can't they just count themselves lucky that Peacock/NBC/Comcast is failing harder than they are?
