Dead Silence deliver on the blood, gore and action, however as a horror film; the project falls flat.
Ngl for the majority of it I thought it was interesting but nothing special like the last episode, however and maybe it's just me but that final twist in the last moments of the episode really packed a punch.
#RenaissanceAFilmByBeyonce will surely become a future classic for musical films, from the intricate diary of the production from making to end, to the outright dazzling cinematography and euphoric sound design. Best film of the year, best concert film I’ve ever seen! 10s 10s 10s across the board!
It’s no secret the last two entries in the series haven’t been able to come close to recapturing the atmosphere and genuine chills of the original…..until now!
Though it certainly keeps the slow start of the original too, once this movie truly gets going it’s relentless in creativity and scares alike!
Stephen Cognetti has certainly crafted the best entry since the original and thankfully like the first, the ending is nothing short of heart pumping! He manages to create some unique scares and uses the found footage style to his benefit.
It’s rare to feel like you’re in the hands of someone who’s mastered what they do in film, from the opening moments of this film, it was clear you could sit back and relax as Cogentti guides you through his perfect world of insanity.
10/10 (sorry for the Letterboxd style review but I rlly loved this)
8.0 / 10
Five Night’s at Freddy’s isn't here to reinvent the wheel, but what it is here to do is to help Universal stay ahead with the soon to arrive Video Game Adaptation era of Hollywood (it’s coming!) , with a genuinely haunting story (that we unfortunately don’t get much of in this particular film until the third act) this could go on to be a very surprising sleeper hit franchise.
There were certainly moments where it felt like it was a bit of a slog, overall however if you are a fan of the games or just of the story and lore as I am, I think you’ll have a frighteningly good time.
Definitely a perfect Halloween watch if you have any younger teens who you want to watch a horror movie with, without the excessive gore, nudity or jump scares.
A very solid effort, 8/10 I hope we get sequels where they can really begin to get into the nitty gritty details of the genuinely chilling and distressing story.
8/10 Saw X is for the most part an excellent addition to the franchise and perhaps one of the best since the series’ greatest heights. However, in a seemingly weird coincidence just like the latest two entries (Spiral, Jigsaw) it also falters the ending.
Has plenty of hilarious moments and the voice cast is what really brings this film to life, however it’s over reliance on gross out humour cheapens what could have been a genuinely great comedy.
The force is with Dave Filoni, always.
I said at the start I was excited to see where this leads and I am not disappointed in the slightest.
It’s certainly a slow burn but so far and after the travesties we’ve been subjected too before I’m enjoying it quite a bit.
Im very excited about where this show could go and so far the performances and the action have been enough to satisfy my Star Wars itch.
Started off strong but they should have chosen a different replacement actor, barely any of the jokes land and the overall vibe of the show is simply off.
Definitely some funny moments but also some boring and predictable ones.
A decent comedy that’s easy to sit back and just zone out too but it definitely could have been better and feels like a waste of two great lead performances.
Easily one of the most boring films of the year.
