so far this season seems more conversational then previous seasons. I am less intrigued by the twist then the characters and the ideas they allow me to ruminate on. this felt grounded. part of the feeling may come down to the editing and direction as it isn't rushing anywhere but consistently building but never feeling long, in fact I was shocked the ending came so soon. perhaps this reflects the creators mindset knowing this will be their last season for at least now.the ponderousness about these first two intrigue me as to what Reece and Steeve might do with Christmas specials or after a break.
all in all not yet a favourite....yet. there is nothing mind blowing here, no massively surprising twist just thought fodder and that's something missing from most tv these days so in that regard I guess it's pretty special
and that’s why she’s mother!
this episode was so good, pure light saber action and the teases and all and the ending because HOLY SHIT ANAKIN
I admit, it's more the anticipation of what this will become (in Dave we trust) as the sheer joy about what it is now. All the pieces are there and they are slowly moving into place.
Once again we learn that an Empire does not dissapear over night, that it's remnants are still working to bring it back. Which makes total sense. I know there will be discussions about and question like "how can this be, why haven't we seen that or heard that before" These shows can delve into details no movie has time to explore. It's more like reading a book where you have to go through a lot of build-up until you reach the conclusion and I like that. Sure, there is a lot of formulaic stuff (add in another lightsaber fight) but the characters all get there time.
I'm really beginning to like Baylan who shows signs of being more then just Morgans evil henchman. His regrets about the necessity to kil Ahsoka had me raise an eyebrow. I like it when those kind of characters get more depth.
Easily the most boring one in the Insidious series. Didn't explain much. Didn't fix much. And things didn't make much sense.
Story could've been much better written.
It's not bad. But it's comparatively and retrospectively quite disappointing.
I hope the post credit scene means a sixth chapter. Because it needs one.
no wonder they’re cursed they eat their oatmeal dry
2hrs of watching a dude draw, and an older dude read intently in order to remember stuff WE SAW IN THE FIRST TWO FUCKING MOVIES!!
Hope it involves as much Patrick Wilson as possible with as little clothing as you can imagine!
