The best pilot I've seen in a while
..apart of the amazing beating, that was a boring episode!
The voice cast at this point in the show is S-tier. RuPaul is so fun as wildcard FBI Agent “Mr. X” that looks… just like RuPaul.
“I’m pointing to your heart… in case you didn’t get it.”
“I’ve been lifting weights everyday since you’ve been gone. Who knew I had these kind of gains in me??”
GoT feelings and the best episode of the entire serie, by far!
After all this time, Episode I still holds up in production value and especially the score from John Williams. Just parts of the dialogue remain cringe-worthy. Duel of the Fates rocks as always.
Gotta be one of the cutest/wholesome proposal episodes out there!
Those were some gross scenes for sure. But that's what this show's been doing and I'm glad they didn't tune it down.
Anthony Starr is amazing. How he switches from one expression to another within a heartbeat and scare the shit out of you. But I think ultimately Homelander has to be gone by seasons end. You can't keep this plot up forever.
That April and Andy storyline was just the cutest
That last scene… terrifying. Heroes those men are.
Toph and Appa were the duo we didn’t know we needed — which makes Toph’s “I’m sorry Appa” all the more heartbreaking (seriously, I tear up every time). This episode also has an epic spirit, fantastic quotes — “You think you’re the first person to believe your war is justified?” — and an awesome display of Toph’s earth bending power. Guys, she held up an ENTIRE LIBRARY as it sank back to the spirit realm. Iconic!!!
Toph is the greatest earth bender in the world, and don’t you dunderheads forget it!
I don’t really understand why this movie is getting so much hate. I really enjoyed it and I think it’s a really cute movie. It puts a kid-friendly spin on the things that girls may experience and overall it may not be “relatable” to everyone but I don’t think that it’s warrants as much hate that it’s been getting.
Overall, I would recommend!
Not a bad series. As a habs fan I couldn’t love the ending more, but you gotta feel for these players. Seeing soup cry is honestly heartbreaking.
Scott Aukerman’s solo directorial film debut is a wickedly dark treat for anyone who’s embraced the absurdity of Zach Galifianakis‘ public access-style show in the last decade or enjoyed the Comedy Bang Bang cinematic universe.
Moves at a brisk pace and never overreaches it’s goal: find ways for Zach to say terribly mean things to some of the nicest people in Hollywood.
“It’s a lovely night for a walk. Why don’t you join me? It would clear your head. [silence] Or just stay in your room and sit in the dark. Whatever makes you happy.”
The next progression in Aang’s understand of the world as it is. In Southern Air Temple he had to confront what was done to his people; in Northern Air Temple, he must recognize the progress of the world that came after. It’s a moment of thinking about change as positive, rather than reflecting on and preserving what was lost. And of course there’s also a heavy war aspect, especially the disheartening last image of the Fire Nation gaining the technological advances it came for anyway, despite the refugees’ small victory. A beautiful episode that highlights so much of what this show is about.
I love this episode, and it brings into being so many elements that reverberate throughout the rest of the show. Aang’s final fight with Zhou is a memorable one, and all of Jeong Jeong’s lessons crucial to understanding not only Aang’s aversion to fire, but Zuko (and the rest of the Fire Nation, I guess) as a character.
Found this episode to be pretty cheesy but still I can appreciate what they're doing with the show. The visuals once again are unique and cool, and I like the cultural elements and themes they're bringing in. Iman Vellani continues to give a convincing and impressive performance for this being her on-screen debut. Even though it's not my favorite show so far I think it's doing a decent job with what it's going for.
This episode's final battle scene has always been one of my absolute favorites. So many incredible elements working perfectly together! Zuko vs. Aang will never not be epic, and I always love Appa tearing up his enemies.
Wow. Artistically this series is so unique. Kamala and her friend texting and the signs and street art adapting their conversations is so trippy and amazing. This series has a really interesting directing and I can’t wait for more!
Surprisingly culturally accurate with the whole Pakistani household and auntie gossiping and what not. I'm just glad this isn't marvel studios trying to be pushy with Islam and bring in Islamic fans. It's great and nothing seems forced (for the first ep at least).
"How do you make Jason happy? You give him a lollipop, shaped like a transformer."
iron man is in Tennessee!! love Harley. badass outro
This will be the episode that leaves Chibnall fans feeling like the rest of us for once xD
Jorm!!! Love to see it
Such a hearbreaking episode, I love it so much. Mara, dearie :,(
I love Catra so much! The sub-plot with Micah and Frosta was cute and funny too.
Very good show, highly recommend for anyone who enjoyed Gravity Falls or The Owl House.
