VIP3Did not like it.
I guess it will go well with star stricken audience that watches movies just because a movie star that they like is in it.
For me it is a bad movie.
Bad characters (after watching the movie ask yourself what did you actually learn about lead characters.
Not two rows worth of character development and also almost no interaction between them).
Bad heist plot (multiple plot holes and inconsistencies:
SPOILERS they drag Ann to toilet so they can steal the necklace and then act that they found it somewhere else because it slipped although it was pointed out that it can not slip since you need magnetic key to remove it, or at least wouldn't it be easier just to give her the fake necklace in the toilet saying that it fell.
Also later they drove off with the rest of the diamonds while the place was in lockdown by "best security team in the world" that just accepts "oh, look what i found in the pool" explanation...
Not to mention the movie is caled Ocean's Eight but there were seven women in a group which made Ann Hathaway's reveal at the end not so much of a shock, more of a meh.
There are many more plot holes but it would take longer to read them than to watch this movie.
About SJW in the movie
they managed to cover all "the colors of Benetton", Also it is marketed as a movie about an "All women's heist team",
but in the end they have a male in a team, but I guess he doesn't count and doesn't deserve an equal part of the loot.
Constance swiped one necklace and gets 38 million, but the guy that collected all the rest gets a tap on the shoulder, and no credit.loading replies
@kirstensnow of course they gave him a cut,
but for the sake of heist being all female crew,
they didn't include him in the movie until needed,
although he was as important as any other teammate...
I guess all female team with one male is not a good selling point.
I mean they could've solve that easily with another woman instead of him,
but I guess they needed tie-in with original.
I don't know, whole movie is riddled with plot holes.
A silly movie with an odd premise. It made me think why the makers of this film felt this had to be made and why these actors agreed to do it. That being said, I enjoyed it!

VIP3Was invited to an early showing of the film and for those of you thinking of going to watch it.. don't bother, unless you are a fan of 80's action cinema and are able to switch your mind off to the inane and brutal action on screen. The premise is implausible - I mean would the world leaders really gather in mourning for the UK Prime Minister, in one place! Its doubtful the public would line the streets either!
Too violent for a 15 certificate, glorifies the killing of others, and excuses use of drones to wipe out terrorists.
London Has Fallen? Hollywood has fallen more likely!

@wambie I agree that there were lots of tv shows based on movies.
My point was that it increased like a lot recently, and that was my point.
I think trend started around 2014.
To name the "few" that I watched/am watching:
(Minority report, Limitless, Rush Hour, Westworld, Demien, Scream, Taken, Ash vs Evil Dead, Fargo, Bates Motel, Snatch, Exorcist, Dominion, From Dusk till Dawn, Training Day, 12 Monkeys, Frequency, Bad teacher, Lethal Weapon, Odd Couple, About a Boy, and yes Time after Time.)
I'm sure I missed quite a few,
and there are some that it is debatable if the source is from movie, comic or a book so I didn't include them.
(Lemony Snicket, Marvel, DC, Shadowhunters etc)

This is reason they all went away from the show(s). Such bad decision.
How this is sitting at 75% when Lost World is at 72% I don't know, my expectations were low for this as I didn't like the look of the trailers, but it was so much better than I thought. Very meta and self aware, nothing groundbreaking but a fun adventure that is a true sequel to the original.
