Mariana is making some dumb choices BUT I DID SEE MY BOY EVAN IN THIS EPISODE SO :eyes:
I'm not loving the new guy but he's getting a bit more interesting at least and Booboo Stewart made an appearance which was a pleasant surprise
Some most parts of this episode really didn't age well
Ok so they set up a new story arc(new guy at the coterie and his sister). It could be great or boring/annoying, we'll see but I have some hope as long as they don't drag it out too much. I was feeling like the show had started going in circles so switching things up a bit will hopefully help
Also, bring back Evan, he doesn't have to be a love interest but just bring him back more, he's funny
This drunk acting was kind of awful but a little bit funny. I hope we don't get any more full episodes of them acting drunk because dear lord no
The backstory was interesting but also felt almost entirely unnecessary except for the end
"I couldn't wear anything like that because I don't have any...what do you call 'em Max? Yabbos?"
Dani is iconic, Allison has my heart and Max is an idiot in the best way and if this was made in current day I'm pretty sure he would be a minecraft boy
I literally queerbaited myself. I'm an idiot. This movie was trying to trick me into thinking Sam isn't fruity and I'm not buying it. Just to be clear: this should have been gay and Landon was boring. Other than that it was kind of sweet in a dumb(and cliché) way and Colin had some funny moments
Clearly not a masterpiece but I won't lie, I had so much fun watching it(especially the second half when the pacing picks up a bit). If you take it for what it is I think you'll enjoy it
What kind of fuckery??!
As soon as I thought I knew what was going on new stuff was revealed. It's original, very engaging and it doesn't drag.
If you can I would recommend going into it completely blind, don't read anything about it and just watch.
That ending made my blood boil. I liked Rob and he's been the one fucking everyone over this entire time. God damn. It does explain Adele's behavior though. Throughout the show I tried to understand what happened for her personality to switch so drastically and now I know why.
As long as you can accept the astral projection thing(or whatever that was) it's a great show. I didn't really understand it at first and it wasn't really thoroughly explained but if you just accept it and go with it it's a very enjoyable show
I liked it until the twist. I'm sorry but this doesn't even make any sense. His apartment, for example, how did she know where it was? How did she know the phone was gonna be in the cupboard?
Some people said she hallucinated, and if that true then the questions above would still remain. Some people said that he was a ghost but they never really alluded to that so it just felt weird but if he was I guess the stuff about his apartment and phone would make sense.Another option I guess would be that because she has his heart in his body she therefore "knew" him in a way, but that implies magic, basically( which I guess the ghost theory also does). Maybe she hallucinated the existence of the apartment and was never there to begin with but then she wouldn't have talked to that man at the apartment when she had her epiphany so yeah, it doesn't really make sense.
I would have prefered a basic romcom, to be honest. This could have been done better.
I didn't really look up what this movie was about before watching it(becuase I watched it mainly because I like the two leads) which made me surprised to say the least when I started seeing dead people in a movie that I thought was just a romcom. Imagine my confusion. It felt a little out of place in the beginning when I was watching a really cute scene and ominous music starts creeping up in the background. I got to say though, it kind of works.
It's different from any other movie I've ever seen and while I've watched movies that combine horror and comedy, the addition of romance really makes it a different experience.
I had no idea what to expect when I started watching this movie. I was in a horror mood and I think asian countries produce some of the best horror movies and I found this and decided to give it a go.
I'm gonna start of by saying I really liked this movie mainly because I'm a big fan of any movie that has psychological elements and that can keep you guessing and this movie has both.
It's not a mindfuck movie but as soon as you think you know what's really going on it takes a turn and then you think "now I know what's actually true!" Nope, wrong again, there's another turn coming.
It's engaging and the acting is great.
It has a few jump scares but the movie doesn't rely on them and they are used quite sparingly. The suspenseful music in some scenes go on for a little too long and become a tad bit annoying but that's not really too big of a deal. The only significant complaint I've got is that the ending was a little too abrupt and I feel like more could have been done with it.
I happened to watch this on a rainy day which is really fitting considering how much it rains in this movie which really adds a great atmosphere(I was going to say that it has a relaxing atmosphere but the story itself is far from relaxing, maybe I just consider it relaxing 'cause I'm a whore for rain).
Highly recommend it.
I had pretty low hopes for this one but I ended up liking it a lot. Quite a few funny moments.
It was cute.
I'm not crying, you're crying.
City girl comes to a small town to work at a clinic and is immediately disliked by the town doctor...which is exactly what happened in Hart of Dixie (the doctor is even played by the exact same man). She is surprised by how worn down the house she has to live in is (which is also in Hart of Dixie).
So far I'm a bit suspicious but we'll see how it goes.
This episode has dogs in it so it's automatically the best episode.
Watched it for Brenda Song and for Brenda song ONLY.
A bit cliché but as long as you're okay with that it's pretty alright.
I hate this show, but I also kind of love it. This bitch is annoying and loud and not charismatic in the slightest, yet for some reason I always liked it.
Also, what's with the hate on zucchinis? girl chill.
Jing is such a gem.
Daoming Si has been horrible from the start and I didn't think he could get much worse but BOOOOY WAS I WRONG!
He's phsyically attacking her now, punching walls until he bleeds and forcefully kissing her and making her cry.
He seems to be the one she's gonna end up with in the end though but like how could they possibly redeem him? He's awful.
Just gotta throw the whole man away...
Noel being the voice of reason in this episode, Ezra´s a creep, idc idc.
The main reason I decided to watch this movie was because of all the good things I'd heard about it. The fact that it's in black and white did put me off a bit but because when modern movies are made in black and white it's a style choice and most of the time it doesn't really add much to it. A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night (2014) was also black and white and I enjoyed that one so I decided to give it a try.
I can't say I was as blown away by this movie as a lot of other people were but it definitely wasn't bad. After 1 hour of watching it I still wasn't sure what the point of the movie was but as it turns out it's just a story about a womans day to day life working for this not-so-perfect family. It is very real though and not in some epic very hollywood way. It just shows a very real human experience.
It's a slow movie and it's definitely not dramatic(although it does have its intense moments) so if you're expecting something grand and fast-paced you're bound to be dissapointed.
The amount of dog shit in this movie gave me anxiety. I also really wish I could kick Fermín in the nuts, proper dickhead that one.
Using suicide threats as a way to manipulate your friends, neat.
Sarcasm aside though it's probably the best episode of the season, especially with that cliffhanger. This episode really shows the dynamic and the similarities between Peach and Joe. Him criticising Peach for essentially the same things that he does.
Joes savior complex is just getting worse and worse.
There's something wrong with every character in this show, and that really is a pivotal part as to why this show works so well. Specifically regarding Beck, the show would have had an entirely different tone if she was a perfect person. She has issues, not as bad as Joe,obviously but issues nonetheless.
The similarity in the toxic behavior of Peach and Joe is also interesting. How Joes inner monologue is criticising Peach for the exact same things that he does, he has no self-awareness. You always hate the people that reflect your own flaws, although this is mainly about being possessive though, which is something they both very much are.
Joe obviously has a savior complex. Going back to the whole thing about Beck being a flawed human. I think that was necessary for the whole thing to work seeing as Joe would basically have nothing to "fix" about her life if she didn't and the show wouldn't be nearly as eventful. It's weird though because he knew she was flawed yet would justify every mistake she made and blame it on other people which isn't surprising seeing as he was obsessed with her.
I know a lot of people don't like Beck, which is fair enough but I personally didn't find her as daft and annoying as some people did. Anything bad she did pales in comparison to Joe. Ultimately, she is a flawed human, like most are. Her friends are kind of crappy, the way she copes with things aren't the healthiest and her life is just kind of a mess. Just like a lot of people that age. I guess some people have an easier time hating on her because it's more relatable, more people can relate to being cheated on than having someone murder people you care about.
The show itself is really disturbing but the fact that some people are romanticizing Joe is even more disturbing. When we're hearing his thoughts justifying his behavior, ew what a creep, what a creep. I don't think there's anything redeemable about Joe as a character. His thoughts are really funny at times though, morbid but funny.
Season 2 will be interesting.
I don't know how this show compares to the comics but on its own it's very good.
The acting is pretty good for the most part and the soundtrack is great.
I wasn't expecting much but so far it's really fucking good
I was a bit surprised to see Lana Condor in this type of role but she's really is killing it(pun intended).
A lot of people are comparing it to The Shallows (2016) which is far enough as they have a lot of things in common.
I'm a big fan of movies set in one place throughout the whole thing so naturally I felt inclined to watch this. It was a while ago since I watched The Shallows so my memory of it might be a bit muddy but I think this one is actually better.
Without comparing it to any other movie it's still pretty good. I always try to judge a movie based on what it's trying to be and what it's trying to achieve. It was suspenseful and made me feel a bit claustrophobic, which in this case is a good thing, really adds to the panic of the situation. It took a few twists and turns that I didn't expect so props for that. It's not a masterpiece but for what it's trying to be it's really good.
Very different from what I thought it was gonna be, I'm pleasantly surprised.
That scene where she rips her hand out of the handcuff was the grossest shit I've seen in a while, I could barely watch it.
It lacked something, I just don't know what. It also felt really short, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it felt like it ended as soon as it started. Kind of underwhelming.
Maybe it was because of the hype but I was a bit disappointed. It's not a bad movie by any means and it definitely has a certain atmosphere, that's for sure.
I don't know how it balances horror and comedy so well but it really does.
I didn't think I was gonna like this. I'm pleasantly surprised. Not really a huge fan of anything sci fi related normally.
