If Stephen King and Steven Spielberg had a baby, this is EXACTLY what it would look it.
Starts off pretty bad then all of a sudden you've been awake for 20 hours and binge watched the entire thing.
Persevere through those initial few bad episodes and you're in for a right treat.
This is the Unforgiven of superhero movies, a brutal yet tender portrayal of former heroes growing old. Logan is tired and world weary, waiting for death to take away his pain. Charles is 90, riddled with drugs to mute his mind, his "super weapon." Despite their friendship their relationship is fractured. Into their lives comes a new mutant and a road trip begins.
I don't want to say much more, having given away a little of the premise already explored in the films trailers. This is a tough, violent and sad film with few moments of humour. There is action but not of the blockbuster kind, one key car chase is like something from a 70's thriller.
This is the swan song of Logan and Charles, both actors giving it their all in their final performances as these characters. To bring them back after this film would undermine their work and the story here.
The film is brilliant and I can't recommend it enough - don't expect a traditional X-Men movie and you will be blown away. If the film itself were a mutant I would say its genes had been spliced with Mad Max and Shane, with a little bit of Children of the Corn (and I mean that in a good way). Excelsior!
This movie takes no hostages... The driving was absolutely top notch, the special effects were beyond good and although the action was relentless, it never once felt fatigued or over done. This movie delivers on all its promises. If you want a pure action flick that wastes no time, Mad Max Fury Road is it!
The whole cast was really well chosen, but Malek...Oh, Malek did just a phenomenal job here! He really shows his caliber as an actor, absolutely worth seeing!
Damn, it must really suck to have been snapped while being on a plane.

6/10
better and better, is in my top 3 the best tv show!
Nope. It's impossible to take this movie seriously, seriously.
One of the best compliments you can give to a movie is that it takes you and wouldn't let you go before the end credits. That's what Max Mad did to me. The whole movie is so intense that my eyes were glued to the screen. The cinematography is gorgeous and make a world come to life. The main characters feel real and you can rely to them. I like it when a main characters isn't the 'invulnerable' hero, so you feel more tenses in the scenes because 'it could go wrong for him'. All this is directed in a perfect way. All of the action is filmed with a steady cam, thank god! No shaky cam but steady and wide shots which make the action scenes a real experience. I have no real faults with this film, I loved it from begin to the end. So I would recommend it for everyone who wants an awesome 2 hours.
The Marvel Universe becomes transcendental. It doesn't veer far from the Marvel formula but it is hugely entertaining and Cumberbatch is terrific, as usual.
Strangely, there are echoes of some of the lesser superhero movies within. Green Lantern, Elektra and 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer share similarities. Obviously, Doctor Strange is better than all of them and takes the superhero genre into a new, fantastical realm.
visually stunning and great acting all round. i wonder if it'll be enough for leo to finally get that oscar
I see you shiver with antici......................pation
I wish they would follow the book, rather than buy the rights to the book, then throw it all away and just make up new stuff which is apparently what they have done.
Awwie what a nice way to go back into the world od magic and the creatures so cute
One of the best show. I could tell just from seeing the first episode! It's renewed for season 2 just after it's 1st episode. That's awesome.
oh shut it daniel... arrow might not had a good season but its still good tv and better than many shows out there.
Great a movie, with good buildup, until the climax. This is one of many movies which fail in the exorcism scene. Sad for a movie with up until then more than average score and decent story line.
Played on a big screen and with a decent surround setup the first 80 minutes make for a good evening, only to be let down by what would have been an awesome movie otherwise. A pity.
Is not bad, but is not a good movie either. When I watched Infinity War I remember that I left the cinema pumped, gasping and almost crying, because I watched a great movie with a perfect script. Compared to the previous film, Endgame is kinda disappointing.
I think time travel was a very lazy solution, specially because is not something we ever saw in the MCU. Revisiting places and moments we already see in the MCU should be fun and emotional, but the way they did felt awkward and disrespectful to me.
The dialogues were poorly construct to the point that even the deaths of main characters didn't caused a big impact on me.
The decision to have Bruce Banner as Hulk for almost the entire movie was so lame, and Hulk's CGI face was irritating to look at.
The only memorable moment of the film for me was Captain America using Thor's hammer.
And the Captain Marvel, who was suppose to be a big deal on this movie, ended being more like a secondary character, used only as a plot device.
Anyway, I'm glad is over, and I'm glad I didn't had too much expectations about this movie.
Just got back from the world premiere. It's a lot of fun and thoroughly entertaining. Classic Marvel humor and tone, amazing visuals, Benedict Cucumber is stellar, but there are a few story flaws and the MCU is really starting to feel formulaic (I'm probably just suffering from franchise burnout).
Fantastic film.. Would highly recommend this to anyone, whether you're an F1 fan or not..
Ridley Scot is back! After some less interesting movies he succeed to make an great one again! It isn't the greatest movie I have ever seen but I couldn't recall one fault or issues with this film. The acting was great especially with his carry Matt Damon! The rest of the cast did fairly good. Matt Damons character stranded on Mars and wants to find a way to survive until he is rescued. This is the main part of the film which was surprisingly funny. Mainly due to the optimistic attitude that Matt Damons character had. It was even funnier than some comedies I have seen this year. Besides that there are some really suspenseful scene with are handled very well by Ridley Scott. He build the suspense fairly slow but great. They also created a great setting of Mars, it really felt like a place which was gorgeously filmed.
Overall I would gave the film a 8,5 but unfortunately Trakt would allow me to give that many hearts so I rated it a 8. Simply because I liked my 9 rated films more than this one. Nevertheless I had a really good time with this entertaining, greatly directed and interesting film.
Full Season of 7 shows starts in the UK on the 18th June 2011
Fun movie!
As a comic book fan (and long-time reader/collector), I appreciated the nods to the comic version of the character, but like they did with all the other Marvel Cinematic Universe characters who've appeared on screen so far, the story is original and I think it can be followed and enjoyed by those who know nothing about Ant-Man before the movie starts.
I won't post any spoilers, but I will say I was satisfied how this character fits into the rest of the MCU and really enjoyed the special effects. The filmmakers did a good job of poking fun at some of the ridiculousness of tiny people fighting each other without it actually detracting from the story. The movie keeps a real sense of humor, which is one of the things I enjoy most about the Marvel movies. I'm interested to see how and what role Ant-Man will play in "Captain America: Civil War" next year.
Paul Rudd does a great job and is actually believable as a title character in an action film, (he's really come a long way from Clueless, huh?) and I love that bigger-name actors like Michael Douglas are all getting on board with these superhero movies. Evangeline Lilly, who already proved she can do action with the "Hobbit" movies, gets to kick some butt in this movie as well. I don't know anything about Corey Stoll, but he makes a pretty good bad guy.
Marvel seems to have figured out how to handle movies like this (ones where most of the mainstream audience knows little-to-nothing about the character.) Put them after most, if not all, the HUGE blockbuster movies of summer, but make them so fun that word-of-mouth will get people to come out. It worked with Guardians of the Galaxy last year, and I think it'll work with Ant-Man this year. For what it's worth, I liked Ant-Man better. I'd give this movie 3 out of 4 stars.
I had no exceptions when I walked into the cinema, but I walked out content and happy. Charlize Theron is a sight for sore eyes even when she's tuff and hard. A movie that should be seen in cinemas, great action throughout the movie.
I was surprised how much I liked this movie! I thought "Alice in Wonderland" was a weird, nearly incoherent movie. But "Through the Looking Glass" actually has a plot that you can follow the ENTIRE way through, and it's a fairly entertaining story involving regret, time-travel and family relationships. A lot of chuckle-worthy moments spread throughout, and it's great to hear Alan Rickman's voice one last time in a film.
I recommend this movie much more highly than the first Alice (perhaps due to the fact that Tim Burton is only a producer & not the director this time). It's family-friendly and visually impressive. And in my opinion, it's worth the extra $$ to see it in 3D for the time traveling sequences alone.
River's speech about the doctor was amazing!!! i watched it 3 times and its just magnificent!
I also thought about 7 diamonds ;)
Love it seen it twice but never gets old
Don't watch this for the plot. If you want to be mildly entertained with bloody decapitations, then this is the movie for you!
Show isn't bad. I like the old skill hip hop. Week 1 was Gangstarr...week 2 was Mobb Deep.
