An amazing episode, with stories and threads that will likely make much more sense later on. Suspense, mystery, and emotion, all masterfully woven together.
“I wanna make music that lasts longer than my life.” meanwhile, it's just a weird moaning version of her already dumb pop song.
The dialogue is quite immature at times.
I think a huge problem with this show is that The Weeknd has no sex appeal and can’t sell the darkness that this character needs. He is also not a super convincing actor or character so it takes you out of the scene. I burst into laughter when Tedros started his dirty talk, it was that bad.
Me: "There's no way they can even come close to being as good as the last episode."
Also me: "OH MY GOD IT WAS EVEN BETTER"
I just wanna know what the point of all those sex scenes is? They don’t even feel sexy, just awkward and forced
I am not really sure on the message of the end. Does she realize she couldn't do this without Tedros, or does she go back to her abuser after seemingly breaking free of him? Straight trash.
'73 Yards' was a properly eerie and creepy episode, with some actual horror elements and gorgeous cinematography too. Really strong performance by Millie Gibson as well. Doctor Who inevitably faces some limits when tackling with horror themes, given the show's PG rating, but they definitely found the perfect balance here, delivering a legitimately haunting and at times quite unsettling story.
That was a perfect episode! Nothing boring or poorly written at all! Emmy award winning performances by the entire cast!!! Unicorns were flying out of people's butts and no one's poop smelled bad anymore. Thrones is back baby!
Did I do that right?
In reality, after three episodes I find no one interesting at all and there's no standout performances whatsoever. The CGI makes me feel like I'm watching some penny-pinching Netflix production. Everything is so predictable in this episode just like last week. What a dumb-downed poorly written screenplay this is turning out to be...can't wait until the big time jump...
After three weeks can we all just admit that this is a dud and it's just not gonna happen? I think my curiosity with this show is done, I usually give 3 episodes before deciding if a show is worth it.
The Weeknd tries so hard to be edgy that he just comes off as pathetic. Who told him he can act?
There's an okay show in here about artist exploitation but it is hampered down by unnecessary sex scenes and this desire to be edgy. I get that Hollywood loves the cliche of "sex sells", but it's just so over the top in this show, especially with the creepy dialogue that the Weekend's character says.
lmaoo they really should have kept that writer's room bc this shit was embarrassing af
3 episodes in and the show has already jumped the shark. Kinda sad, because up until that point, it was pretty good.
I was watching this episode and wondering what all the hate was about... then the bell rang and the episode went to complete hell.
It was everything they said it would be and then some! Supreme spectacle with otherworldly intensity. Fan first was an experience I’ll never forget. A film for the ages. Long live the fighters!
I think we were all ready to see Maya going, lasting 10 episodes out of pity. But Plasma didn't shine for real and as it's been said a lipsync for your life should count. At the same time they were the same splits (with slightly more passion), anyway, we will never get rid of her...
But seriously……..what was HBO thinking?
This show is absolutely awful. The cinematography is decent, but everything else is so bad. Art is subjective and people's views are different, but just on a base level, this show isn't art. It's "im14andthisisdeep" levels of writing.
This show is fine except for some too long and not exactly necessary worthy for the plot scenes. Somebody lied to The Weeknd several times while he was on set "acting".
It was simply great, a great send out episode, you got a worthy episode of you.
I didn't love the writing of your run, but I'm sure as hell I'm going to miss you Jodie.
This show is 90% sex and nudity and 10% plot. They’re trying soooo hard to be edgy but it just ends up being sooo cringe. I’m watching for my girl Rachel Sennott and I do wanna see where it ends up but geez The Weeknd’s acting is so bad. I hate when you can TELL someone is acting. Maybe it’s supposed to be bad on purpose to just emphasize how fake/corny the character is but it’s just so embarrassing.
The dinner scene was so uncomfortable so idk if that means they did a good job or a bad job. I’m hoping things turn around for Jocelyn by the end of the season bc absolutely no one is looking out for her.
A good-hearted and surreal work of imagination. Great writing and nuanced characters. The audience was laughing throughout and it managed to be touching without being cheesy.
a true celebration that stopped the whole country
If Stephen King and Steven Spielberg had a baby, this is EXACTLY what it would look it.
An unnecessary and well made epilogue for one of the best characters from Breaking Bad. Aaron Paul is great and I loved getting more time with Jesse Pinkman and some of the other characters.
I'm loving this new doctor who and Ruby. Really laughed at the end. Hope spring will be here soon. It's been a while since I've been excited for doctor who. Thanks Russel for coming back!
Mind blowing! This should be a movie!
Dolores and Maeve are just AMAZING I can't GUYS I CAN'T they're real bad asses f*ck me
