Great movie, like many of Elia Kazan, sometimes distressing to see. James Dean transmits his anguish
James Dean was a true talent, and his acting is always superb this is a really great film that has a few plotpoints that don't circle around all the way but that's my only problem with this film because when this film is at it's best it's hard to dislike anything about it.
This movie broke into my house, hit me with its mundanity, and then left with a piece of my soul. Will bolster my defences next time and pick a better movie.
This isn't even a movie, it's a waste of time.:poop::wastebasket:
While watching I was thinking this would be better as a short and apparently it is, does have a few creepy segments. The best part was when a toilet disappeared and it made a cartoon noise.
Fuck this movie and everyone involved in it. You guys should be blackballed over this monstrosity. The constant arguing and loudly narrating everything that was happening by the actors, the ludacris plot with the little girl roaming around the house unsupervised while aliens are about and the jackass son filming it decides to go upstairs alone multiple times to do trivial things in order to put his life in danger, the fact that any rational human being would have abandoned the house when you saw with your own eyes the aliens entering upstairs, totally forgetting they should have left immediately after the first encounter but instead decided to have turkey dinner... I can't even man. This movie is so bad, that I seriously thought I was having a heart attack by the ending because I was so upset with how stupid and unrealistic the characters were written. Fuck this movie. If anyone involved in this project is still working in the industry we are in trouble as a society.
why sub-zero always leave his opponents alive? fr. and hasashi hanzo whatever attacks from back and two on one bhahahahaa...
I'm supprised that this movie with no real story would be made with what seems to be an ok budget, based on the cgi. I'm not hopeful for the future of game movies based on this. Really suppriced they accepted such a week story. Guess they where ok with just the characters and their fights. Ohh well guess we all have different taste.
Movie was ok. Not up to the hype. Typical 'hero fights fights hero then they fight together against a common enemy' type plot.
It was good enought to be entertained and not feel bored.
Movie would be a lot better without Madison story. Wish they stopped casting Millie.
This movie makes me so happy. It's like a batch of warm cookies and a tall glass of oat milk.
Unfortunately the movie did nothing to redeem my negative thoughts about Kate Winslets acting.
best comedy of the year
It does the Blair Witch world justice. But adds nothing fresh. Pretty much is the same result as the first film.
Very realistic and intense survival of the fittest. Hardly any words are spoken and you don't need them. Good visual storytelling.
The Rise of Skywalker had been on my "to watch" list even before it came out. Because of all the negative backlash this movie received, I never decided to watch it in the theaters. Recently, this movie was leaked online and as soon as it did, I decided it was time to give it a chance - despite everything that was being said and all the spoilers I accidentally read while browsing Reddit.
After watching the movie I began to think about things they could have made better, but I did enjoy it. Whether or not if it was because it was another Star Wars film has yet to be clear for me.
In the end, I felt that these movies could have been made better than what they were, as it opened up the possibility of introducing more threats than the ones we are far too familiar with in the Star Wars universe. For example - When Palpatine was revealed to be alive he could have introduced us to more Sith for Rey to face. Which makes sense in the end, since Kylo betrayed Palpatine and the Empire.
I just don't understand how Kylo Ren was the only Sith Rey had to face this entire time.
Also, Having Rey denounce her last name that her parents gave her, despite it being from a sinister origin , made me kinda lose some respect for her in the end. If she really wanted to have the Skywalker name she could have made it : Rey Skywalker Palpatine. Or Rey Palpatine Skywalker. Any way would have been fine.
Leia's CGI was terrible right for the get-go. It immediately felt like a recording from the previous movies, which I know was planned, and I believe they could have made it more convincing with the money they had. They pushed out the movies too soon and it leaves a bitter taste, just like GOT S8.
Yes, there's a little too much focus on the human drama and too little Godzilla. That being said, Gareth Edwards exercises a great amount of restraint in showing the titular creature fight and, well, be seen in general. This is both a complaint and a good thing, believe it or not. It builds anticipation over the two hour runtime. I do think we could've seen some more of Godzilla in the first half, though. Maybe cut back on the Ford stuff to make room for more monster. But beyond that, this nails what I was hoping it would be. The audio design here is amazing. The story is a little disjointed between what's happening with Godzilla and our protagonist Ford (a lot of the time it feels like Ford's story is written just so he'll end up where Godzilla is) but it isn't bad. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. 4/5
Awkward fan service with no soul.
Hated it.
As simple as that.
Terrible way to take the series to. I mean it's not as bad as the prequels, because the acting is quite all right, but it hits so many bullshit moments where I was facepalming every other scene it's unbelievable.
....I didn't like it.
There was no plot.
There was no literary protagonist. There IS a main character, though.
When I say plot, I mean an objective that the protagonist is after from the beginning; Some kind of imbalance that they sense needs to be rectified or corrected. When there is no objective, there is no obstacles in their way, either. This movie is 3.5 hours of, just, things that happen and it never clues the audience in on the endgame...so there's also hardly any climax, either. Its just, this happens, then that, then that, then that...with characters you can't really call "likeable" or "rootable" I wouldn't have cared if DeNiro died at any given moment in the film because I couldn't connect with him.
The story and art style definitely seem cool and interesting, but the long, dull, uninspired battle scenes drag on too much, and the sound effects just don’t make sense. Swords whooshing sound like transformers, and it’s all so exagerated, it’s off-putting. Don’t waste your time, this show isn’t worth it.
why just 71%??? I think this movie is one of the best sequel movies ever made! At lease 8,5/10 great cinematography and brilliant scenes!
It’s not a movie.
It’s just another bland, soulless mass product that’s primarily aimed at the Chinese market.
Now that WB is the only real studio releasing big movies, it really shows what a joke of a studio they’ve become during the last 5 years.
Not that they didn’t release crap before that, but at least there was something like a good Mad Max, Harry Potter, Matrix or Lord of the Rings film somewhere to be found in their slate.
It would seem Villeneuve and Nolan are the only real talents that are left at the studio.
For nearly every other film they make, they seem to think that appealing to the lowest common denominator will give them the biggest return on their investment.
I.e. the action scenes are more important than the story or the characters, and the scale needs to be huge, even if it looks tacky and fake.
3/10
I don't understand why everyone likes this show so much, it was really bad I just wanted each episode to end. Their was no suspense at all yet rotten tomatoes gave it a 95% really, it was trash just garbage the acting the fight all lame. So can some one explain to me why everyone likes it so much?
Characters that didn't have any logic. Annoying rebellious acts for no apparent reasons. "Wise" elder characters who bicker and are useless. Story line was inexcusably weak, character development was pathetic, and it was altogether a bad show. Original Airbender was good, this was not. Teen drama crap.
I know it’s practically the beginning of the year. But I’m gonna call it, movie of the year. Nic Cages roll of his career. Don’t miss it. 10/10
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Terminators: Recycled was the same program run the same way after a soft reboot. Still, it was fun to see Linda Hamilton again and Mackenzie Davis is so good that I hope there's a sequel just to see her continue to be the action hero I never knew I needed.
Milla Jovovich read this shitty script and saw the cast and she was like "HELLO NO!"
