I actually liked Season 9; but I think I'm alone with that opinion...
The season started with a very weak first episode. Can someone tell me if the rest is worth the watch?
I hate this season so much.
The plot/conspiracy is so random, so convoluted. Everything is so pointless. Every shot/scene is trying so hard to look artsy. Almost all the episodes are concept episodes - it’s like the writer’s room went crazy or the directors were were bored with the scripts and spent their time with making everything look cool.
And on top of that we get these annoyingly lofty voice-overs that try to make you feel like “wow, I am criticizing the society” or something. You could quote those and post in the subreddit r/im14andthisisdeep and they would fit.
Holy shit, that movie is overrated as fuck.
Only Singing and music and boring dialogue
So can someone tell me what the point of the Van Alden storyline is? Since Season 2 he is just wandering around.... so unimportant that he didn't even appear in the last episodes of Season 3.
So they place this season in the 60ies or something but then they let the character play Nirvana on stage. Yeah, right...
As I expected, this is overrated. Involuntarily funny "action" scenes; too long for the thin plot.
The suspense and the sound in a lot of the scenes was very nice, all that face close-up camera work was just too much.
To think that the people are watching this in an extended cut (I saw theatrical cut) and still praise it, omg...
wtf - this got an Oscar?! Actually unexciting story; shallow characters.
What's this..... the promise is completely boring... and it's amazing how many bad jokes (those are supposed to be jokes, right?) they can but in there.
my "manually marked seen" plays don't count in the highscore. That is just mean!
Season 3 is not as good as the previous season and this episode is the worst of it yet
A bit bad story and acting wise, but nevertheless took me in and I couldn’t stop watching
How is this movie more than “just a movie about the pandemic”? They even played this annoying Sea Shanty song at the end.
What is the relevance of the kid character?
Enjoyed the second half of the movie much more than the first.
In total the Movie felt too ironic. Because :asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol:every:asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol: scene is a joke it was difficult to care for anything
Rating this one point above Tokyo Gore Police because it has a tiny bit of more substance.
This season was very pointless.
This movie is neither funny, nor touching, nor an appropriate way to remind about the topic of the terror for those who had to hide during the Nazi times. I don’t even understand the :asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol:Why:asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol: of this movie. La vita é bella is the perfect counter example on how to approach this.
And if it’s supposed to be funny for children then it’s simply inappropriate.
It also gets ruined by the use of english. The most cringey joke was the small bit about the “german shepherds”. In German that dog species is just translated to “shepherd dog”
More fun than I care too admit - and I despise TBBT.
I assume that they will try to milk this for at least 7 seasons, probably around Season 4 it’ll become a bit boring.
“This is Not your friend. It is a robot” - Darlene about the Alexa device.
Wooow, so deep.
Very realistic that a FBI agent specialized in cyber crime puts this kind of device in her home, even when knowing about all the possible ways how it can technically be used for surveillance
So... I guess this is the episode where the season becomes a bit crazy
So... concept episode. No talking. Dialogue isn’t the strong suite of this season anyway.
Love the camerawork, like the performances, like the atmosphere and the "feeling". I kind of also liked the story. So why not a 9 or 10? I really don't understand why the son gets dragged along, I don't get why psychologically that happens it just feels like a plot device to make the movie what it is.
And the other thing: What does this movie want to tell us?
Cannot give this movie the extreme hate that it’s getting because it is interesting attempt at being “meta” about zombie movies. But overall it is really good executed so just gets some applause for trying
I don’t understand why they (the crew from the present) react so strong about making the crew from the past just disappear. They don’t die, just never existed :grimacing:
Very good movie. Minus points for the acting.
Probably was an inspiration to a lot of heist movies we saw in the last decades.
The super cliché woman character, the flat bad guy characters which leave a big „why all this?“ in your face, the pointless kid sidekick and the over-the-top soundtrack make this movie not stand the test of time.
So what does this movie get points? Two points for the mining car scenes, one for the first cave trap and one for the liberation of the children.
Nice idea, nice cinematography but the plot is lacking. This is noticable because in the end the movie is too long.
For anyone else who is learning (BR) portuguese and also going through lists of brazilian movies: This is a highly interesting watch.
For anyone with an ounce of decency: this is very interesting but also pretty enraging to watch.
Regarding the technical aspects the documentarry is pretty well made, but maybe a tad too long , some stuff could have been edited out.
Yeah, I do not like the ending.
It circles back to the premise of the show and now we don't have a serious character progression of Rebecca.
Very skeptical about the quality of the upcoming second season.
For some reason I feel that it would have fit the show better if they did not reveal the solution of the rape/murder. The ending episodes were a lot of crime show stuff.
