I never thought they could make a 2 hour movie with Emma Stone in multiple sex scene's this bad, but they did.
Slow, plodding and overfluffed for time. Could easily have been an okay 90 minute movie, but instead was a painstaking 2H47 minute slog. Action sequences were not adequate as a payoff and the themes and underlying messages were convoluted and all over the map in the wrong way. Couldn't sit through the whole movie, didn't miss anyhting significant when I took a break, and STILL found enough time again to get bored. Cannot possibly recommend.
This show is superb. Enjoyed so much, Netflix is really kicking some creative and artistic ass...
I was smiling the entire movie. The level of detail and care that went into this film is incredible. Tributes from the first game to the last mario game. Yes, it's a children's movie, yes, the screenplay is not a masterpiece and yes, you will like it more if you are fan of the games. But it's a fun ride from start to finish.
This movie was great because I fell asleep in the theater and had an amazing nap
I love Predator franchise, but this film is simply ridiculous!!
Seeing the cast, I'm asking myself which of the parents was the unfaithful one, since they clearly don't have the same parents.
Couldn't they at least have the same ethnicity (Don't really care which).
I don't know if I'm too dumb to this type of movies, but I thought it was shit. It is esentially a 2-hour-long artsy porn movie of Emma Stone. The plot is meh, the music is at times dissonant and badly balanced, the random scenes with fish lense felt out of character. Acting is ok, because there are some big names involved; and costumes and locations are well put and wimsy; although again, sometimes feels belonging to a different movie. Also, don't quite understood the message behind it: If you are a woman, you have to empower yourself and be a prostitute? and if you are a man, you have to be a simp like Max and let her "fly"? Maybe I'm a oversimplistic person but didn't like it
It's a bit creepy that Violet looks so similat to Emily Browning from the movie with Jim Carrey.
This is one of the worst series of the last couple of years. The plot and the acting is as bad as it gets. Honestly it made me wonder about my tv addiction cause I gave it a chance for a complete season. 2 Eps into season 2 it got even worse and I bailed...
It's hard to believe how well this was put together at times. I'd say the first 10 episodes are definitely the best, after that the story line has reached a point where it's less exciting. That doesn't mean the rest of it is bad though, not at all.
One thing that striked me is that there were often tensions moments when Light get's interrogated. Ever time when it seems like he's getting caught he comes up with another waterproof lie/alibi to trow off any suspicion. Which is what I meant by the first sentence.
I actually got a Death Note book as a gift after I finished the series :)
This is a great documentary because it does not fall into the easy trap of being cynical mean-spirited criticism, but is rather a series of reasonable questions being posed to unreasonable people. It's fascinating how there is such a concerted effort to characterize asking questions which the gender politics community prefers not to be voiced as "transphobic". There is a concerning social development happening in the West and this is an important film and subject of inquiry. Recommended.
Edit: Trakt has hidden this and other comments on this movie. Wasn't aware this was another censorious platform. That's discouraging.
The first and only animated DC or Marvel show or movie I've actually found worth watching. Finally, one for adults (and, considering the language and graphic violence, only for adults at that). And I must say that Harley is pretty hot in this. Don't get confused by the start of the first episode, as she does change to her new modern Suicide Squad-based outfit eventually. This series is focused on the bad guys, sidekicks, the competitive environment for them. Also, it has a lot of points about female empowerment (mansplaining, etc.) which is refreshing vs. more outdated roles. Definitely addicted, and can't wait for the 3rd episode!
Mostly a character driven season. If you think of it, so was the first season. So maybe all the "boo hoo season 2 wasn't what I wanted from the show" comments. Are from fans who don't get the show.
The season beautifully built up relationships more. Even if Mike and Eleven didn't have much screen time together. When they finally had scenes, they were what fans were waiting for.
As for being slow at times, so was season 1. I think they have about as much build up.
Despite the snootiness of movie critics - the film wasn't made for them anyway - this is a surprisingly decent movie. Admittedly, I am a fan of the other two movies starring Jolie (despite their terribleness), but even with my low threshold, this was very good. Gamers will appreciate the nods to the 2013 game, and there is a healthy smattering of puzzles, traps, and supernatural elements. Still... I wish they had played to the 90's games a little more, with the following additions:
Lara saying 'aha' every time she found an artefact.
Lara healing herself with magical medipacks.
Lara saving her progress during the film with the aid of floaty blue diamonds.
Lara having more polygonal (and exaggerated) features.
Lara fighting a T-Rex.
And of course... Lara trapping her butler in the mansion refrigerator!
However, despite those notable omissions, this is a better film than we could have hoped for.
I am so hooked on this show! It appeals to both the business man in me and the nerd in me :)
It may not be a masterpiece, I agree on that, but I really loved this movie. I like when Disney keeps it simple and things like family, friendship, love, fear and courage shine in one simple movie. I was teary in two moments of the movie and hoping that everything turns out good for Arlo and Spot. It was beautiful, simple but really beautiful. It was a good reminder that "courage doesn't exist without fear".
starts out ok but soon goes nowhere but gay porn meets terrible acting. can´t understand what people see in this cliche packed nonsense...can´t be the story, because there is none.
Started out watching this show when Season 1 was nearly done, and watched it all the way through, and i can honestly say that it's a waste of time starting to watch it. Im still watching it though for no reason at all :P Yeah it's a problem i have, if the series is somewhat ok, and it's only 20 min then i just watch it hoping it will eventually get better, but ir really doesn't. Definetly a show im not gonna recommend to anyone, but it's allright if you need a time killer i guess.
This show's plot and script changes from obvious to random every 5 minutes.
this is so great, i dont get the hate. i was only going go test the pilot and ended up seeing it all in a row . funny, witty, smart!
Ehh… far too much talking for an action movie. This could have been an hour shorter and it would have been better. Pretty disappointed that there was only one scene with black panther fighting. There was lots of good stuff too, but Marvel movies have felt a bit rudderless since the infinity war saga finished up.
Beautiful movie. Also, great performances by the actors, overall.
If the rest of the season going to have some sort of political agenda, I am not going to watch it
Very boring show. Couldn't get past three episodes. Didn't care for the characters or the plot. I really tried to like it because I saw others rate it so high, but I am now assuming they are rating it so high because it has so much lgbtq and racial stuff so you are close minded if you do not automatically think it is the greatest show. Sorry, I tried, It is horrible.
I've liked it much more than expected from ratings! Funnier than most Adam's stuff, and Tyrion and Ned were great.
Was the movie being in Black & White supposed to make it edgier? I recommend watching :asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol:Django Unchained (2012):asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol:, instead of wasting 2 hours watching Will Smith overacting here.
This is what happens when the Americans attempt to make a film based on an Indian movie script. Film a bit fake in its setting, not historical accurate, and with a representation of the people represented (African, European and South American) a bit too modern and clean (likely to satisfy American tastes and not reality). This is even fine, but while the Indians often add complexity to the plot with a lot of twists to keep the attention and enhance the surprise, here instead the first half is plain, with some recover in the second half, but without many emotions triggered.
