Can’t believe Samuel L. Jackson is 72!
Daniel Radcliffe Really Will Do Anything :joy:
Kind of confused what was going on with Kakitani.
To be honest I enjoyed the film. While it's nothing like the original Space Jam that's to be expected with 20+ years between the original and this sequel. However this film does have a few issues that really bug me, from the awful tech jargon used in the movie from the son to the poor acting and straight up dislike of LeBron. LeBron comes across as an awful father who forces his own ideals and opinions onto his children than letting them being individuals and that Basketball isn't fun and is solely just work. Also despite all the cool television and movie references throughout (felt very much like Ready Player One) it did feel a bit over the top at points and felt more like a big advert for WB content.
Enjoyable action film but any movie that uses time travel as a plot device in its story will always be fatally flawed and this film is no exception to that rule. There is only a few movies/ shows that have implemented time travel without massive contradictions in its content.
Kind of sad how messy this film is. Switching from what looks like a final animation to really rough sketch animation.
Worldwide release on August 13th on Amazon Prime (multiple dubs & subs), hopefully the same English dub that was used for the previous films & not the Netflix dub for Neon Genesis: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-07-01/amazon-prime-video-to-stream-final-evangelion-film-on-august-13/.174666
An enjoyable addition to the Godzilla franchise but it's held back in my opinion by overcomplicated aspects of the show as it tries and weaves in concepts like the Archetype, Orthogonal Diagonalizer, Super-Time Computer, Ashihara Effect etc.
Despite overcomplicating itself I really liked how it felt similar to the Shin Godzilla film where we witness the evolution of Godzilla but instead this time it's the entire kaiju species as we build up to the big guy himself Godzilla (I do wish Godzilla had got more screen time though).
Also the events of the last episode to do with Jet Jaguar felt rather idiotic and hardly explained (also that end credit on the last episode).
Rather disappointed. While it has some really good music and the concept is enjoyable the lack of animation in areas is what let it down. I really hope we can get the manga volumes officially at some point so I can just read the series officially. Also Netflix did a really poor job on the subtitles (so many of the location/ character name signs were untranslated when a character on screen was speaking).
And the wait for season 4 begins!
Enjoyable action movie but unfortunately has a lot of glaring plot holes. While I enjoyed it I'm left with a multitude of unanswered questions.
Should have been longer to flesh out the content better. Also as usual Kevin Penkin killed the OST.
Mike will probably go down if not one of the best or the best contestant we have had on the show.
That fight scene was hard to watch. It didn't feel fluid at all. Rather poor choreography and camera angling.
Was rather excited for this but unfortunately I can't find myself getting into it.
Highly enjoyable! As expected from a writer from Gravity Falls.
This episode was just straight up savage!
Personally season 1 & season 2 are better than the most recent Family Guy episodes and are enjoyable. After season 2 the show goes downhill, the episodes are just plain nonsensical (like modern Family Guy episodes). Despite the show being a branch off from Family Guy there was too many Family Guy related scenes, jokes & appearances making the show feel weak with it keep leaning on Family Guy for material due to a lacking supporting cast of characters on the Cleveland Show (probably why Season 3 & 4 are very nonsensical). The show started off well in my opinion but went downhill, I can see why it got cancelled.
Love the art style used for the monsters/ transformations but unfortunately it's currently let down by its rather sporadic pacing at times.
After seeing numerous clips from this show on YouTube I decided to binge the show & don't regret it. These shorts are really enjoyable and have multiple funny moments, the shorts really don't feel like a piece of Disney content and have some really dark jokes alongside parodies at past Disney movies incorporated into certain episodes.
As someone who has only watched the original anime when it was airing on Jetix and is one of the founding series that got me into the medium of anime I'm not sure how I feel about this reboot so far. I know the original anime isn't a 1:1 adaptation of the manga since the original anime was being produced while the manga had still yet to conclude but honestly so far its not igniting the same feelings as I had when I watched the original (maybe its just nostalgia), just have to see how it progresses. I'm also worried that the series has been confirmed for 52 episodes (less than the last anime) and that it will be rushed in certain areas/ cut content, was hoping the reboot would more faithfully adapt the manga.
People aren't lying when they call this film a mindfuck! Also as someone who has experienced multiple high points of depression and suicidal thoughts the movies core principals struck me hard. Honestly didn't know what to do after watching this.
Disappointing Season 02 so far, honestly don't feel like watching the episodes.
Netflix proving that they don't listen to their audience and just create content based off viewership statistics!
As a massive fan of Malcolm and the Middle I was in love with this episodes parody.
From the same person that brought us Angel Beats & Charlotte I was expecting more, enjoyable but overall disappointed. Could of swore Maeda said this would be his saddest work, what happened? It felt lacking in a lot of areas. Felt more like someone tried to imitate Jun Maeda's work & failed.
Only watched to see Nicholas Cage beat up some animatronics but damn was this movie bad.
Enjoyable movie, Korean directors need more appreciation. Only thing I didn't like about the film was what was going on with James Sullivan? Confused in regards to what was going on with his character.
Brilliant episode! Looking forward to the rest.
So instead of the Mulan from the animated film who had to work hard to acquire the strength she needed to achieve her goal (which teaches you to keep trying no matter what and you can achieve anything) she was replaced with a Mulan who was special from birth and already had everything she needed to achieve her goal which is just the opposite of the original message of the animated film which I could see alienating people and teaching a younger audience the wrong message.
Also the transition sequence for Mulan heading off to war was also rather disappointing compared to the original film. Instead of a sequence of cutting her hair and giving up what she has to save her father from going to war it immediately cuts to her already in the armour and setting off to the camp. In my opinion this ruined the emotional connection to Mulan and didn't allow the viewer get a deeper connection to the sacrifice she is making for her father.
Despite it missing a lot of what the original film had I don't think it was that bad of a film if you don't compare it to the original (like most of Disney's live action remakes).
