Seems like Michael Bay got some drones for a Christmas !
The ending didn't make sense to me. He could have had it all, what did killing the cop give him? Otherwise fun film.
I have almost no idea what happened, but I liked it. Might be my favourite James Bond film.
I really enjoyed this movie. Easy to watch, lots of in twined fantasies. Kept me guessing, but all is explained at the end. Good movie to pass the time. :thumbsup_tone1::thumbsup_tone1:
It was good without being great.
I loved the boat that rocked and about time. I felt this film was missing the heart those films had. There were some lovely moments, some cool moments and some happy moments.... but it was missing that extra 5% for me.
I can see why others have loved it though.
How relevant has this movie has become now eh?? After watching it again now (first time on release date), man this is almost exactly what's going on out there!
....I didn't like it.
There was no plot.
There was no literary protagonist. There IS a main character, though.
When I say plot, I mean an objective that the protagonist is after from the beginning; Some kind of imbalance that they sense needs to be rectified or corrected. When there is no objective, there is no obstacles in their way, either. This movie is 3.5 hours of, just, things that happen and it never clues the audience in on the endgame...so there's also hardly any climax, either. Its just, this happens, then that, then that, then that...with characters you can't really call "likeable" or "rootable" I wouldn't have cared if DeNiro died at any given moment in the film because I couldn't connect with him.
Conceptually good and with a neat twist. Unfortunately, the script is patchy and so the film isn't as good as it could have been.
Hated it.
As simple as that.
Terrible way to take the series to. I mean it's not as bad as the prequels, because the acting is quite all right, but it hits so many bullshit moments where I was facepalming every other scene it's unbelievable.
Is Ryan Reynolds ever NOT acting like Deadpool? Guess Deadpool is just Ryan Reynolds.
This is a nice little movie with some good music and heartfelt story. Nothing that is going to blow you away but it put a smile on my face.
High school movies are a lot of fun and this is no exception. Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein have amazing chemistry and are a joy to watch together. The situations they get into are funny and feel like they could happen. There are some cool side characters too that really bring out the themes of the movie. I think a lot of high schoolers are going to relate to this.
It’s Superbad mixed with some of that Community type of humour and creativity.
Really well done, I’d recommend this to just about anyone, even if you’re not close to its target audience.
Go and see it!
8.5/10
This is a very charming movie. The movie deals with stereotypes and racism in the 1960s as well as you would expect. Racism is bad, stereotypes aren't always true but the journey is fun with these two. Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali are both fantastic. They play very well off each other. Being directed by Peter Farrelly there are quite a few funny moments too.
I just got back from a preview showing for the new Spider-man movie, and WOW. It is LIT (pardon my language). Soooooo funny with tons of personality and a surprisingly great depth of emotion in quite a few scenes (some tears may have been shed). I love this new take on the comic book hero origin movie and the entire film just screams originality. I wasn't 100% sure on the animated look before, but it really fits into the entire setting and "alternate dimensions" premise of the movie later, which injects a ton of creativity and potential into this new film.
After Sony released Venom, I thought that they should just stop trying with the Spider-verse. However, this new film and universe gives me a completely different perspective. I can't believe something like this came from Sony...
Good, but not quite there, i think it could had a little more thought making this to fit what the viewer wants and expand the choices to not be a dead end and have to go back.
The film has a strong potential worthy of a Black Mirror episode yet the technology presented in the film is not even explored at its finest. The ending felt bleak but is an interesting choice to make the audience come up with their own theories.
The movie just flows so well. Robert Redford gives a fantastic (last?) performance. He is so charismatic and charming that I wouldn’t mind getting robbed from him. Everyone else gives a good performance too. I loved how this looked and felt like an old movie.
a lot of action, killing, blood, naked chicks, sex, good acting!
Just how i like my horror movies.
Better than all the Halloween movies combined.
This is the lamest comic book movie in a while. The first act is terrible but once the symbiote finally get to Eddie Brock it picks up. The best part by far is Tom Hardy talking to himself. Everyone else is just bland. The effects are fine but the final fight is just a total CGI fest and kinda dull. This isn't worth paying for but it's worth watching to see Tom Hardy act crazy.
Edit: I did like it a little bit more on rewatch just because Tom Hardy is going all out.
This is ok. The action is decent. The jokes don't always work but the ones that do are funny. The story makes no sense and people seem to fast travel instantly. Most of the characters are completely forgettable. It feels like it trying to be raunchy just for the sake of being raunchy. But I still had some fun with it.
Kate McKinnon is a little too much. Mila Kunis is good. Just your typically studio comedy. There were some funny jokes but for the most part it is forgettable.
Nick Fury, Deadpool and Elektra fight together to take down Commissioner Gordon
It was an okay movie. Anything is still possible for the Dark Universe, but I hope it will be better. Russel Crowe's part was good and Tom Cruises' action scenes were also pretty good. Sadly the comedy in this movie was pretty bad. Jake Johnson felt really out of place and was only funny for the first 10 minutes.
There also was a problem with the chemistry between Nick and Jenny. It felt so weird sometimes.
Overal the movie felt rushes and could be done so much better. The action is good in this movie. Hope the rest of the Dark Universe will be better.
Well, I compleatly enjoyed the movie. I like the music in the movie, it fits in perfectly. The screenplay was nice and acting was good, but the ending for me felt rushed. It feels like they could have made it better, but I still liked it! But I don't know how the book is, so can't say how different the book and the movie is. Maybe I should read the book!
And what is it with movies and trailers lately. In the trailer when Vee goes to the cop car, the police officer know her name and seems to be "part of the game". But it was not like that in the movie. And when i first saw the trailer, that part made the movie seem "better?". But well, I guess the trailers now days lie about the movies ;) cough cough suicide squad
The Breakfast Club was great, probably one of the best teen movies I've ever seen. Despite the stereotypes that all the characters are, they're still fun to watch and I particularly liked Allison. The only major problems I had with it were the really bland adults and the absolutely terrible ending.
The coupling up was completely unnecessary and Allison was way cooler pre-makeover; she basically changed everything that made her who she is because hurr gotta wear makeup and be pretty. I would have been perfectly happy if everybody had stayed the way they were and just been friendly with each other. Grrr...
Fun. Not joke filled but nonetheless funny film
