To enjoy this film you have to buy into its weirdness. I did and had a good time with it, despite the bonkers plot. Cage is great here bringing his usual brand of cool and he is clearly having a good time in the role.
This show has nothing exceptional about it at all. It's pretty lame and cookie cutter. Disappointing.
Jason Clarke? Really? Please Hollywood, stop hiring this guy... he's awful.
The Meg.
Alternative title: Everything wrong with contemporary Hollywood in 2 hours.
Alternative title II: This one’s for you, China.
Just shut up, Meg.
2/10
Remember that edgy thing called "Elfen Lied"? Yup, this is by the same author and while I'm fuzzy on the details on that it certainly is similar in the way of inflicting violence to teenage girls. It is also probably the only 1-cour show that changed openings on the second last episode and then even to a terrible crunkcore-thingy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C__joUsxAPw).
Despite rating it just a "4" I want to stress that I got plenty of enjoyment out of it... just for all the wrong reasons - or maybe not! Going by the anime alone one has to either believe this is a work by hacks (which it kinda is) or well versed people intentionally taking the piss out of genre conventions.
Anyways, you should not watch this show if you expect any kind of logic or common sense. The story is ridiculous and badly paced. It also follows the same pattern up until the end where they just throw in an ending because they can. What made the show for me was it's schizophrenic tone, switching between comedy bits set to goofy music with some romance to heavily censored action - with a straight face. Really, it's amazing how much bullshit they managed to stuff in there. If you want to watch something so bad that it's good give it a go.
I really hope the 3rd season of DD is better than the second seasons of everything else. I hate season 2 of JJ. Unhappy about season 2 Luke Cage and disappointed in season 2 Iron First.
Cyborg is insufferable. I love everything else though, this show is hilarious.
10 for the first story line and 5 for the others.
I had hope due to the director and some good casting. Then they added John Cena....lol.
The disjointedness of the two storylines felt as crazy as Linda acted here. Great closing credits song, though.
Truly uncomfortable to watch Linda's storyline.
Linda knows what Krav Maga is, there was a whole early episode about it, and wasn't the studio next door?
Why the hell wouldn’t they use time to buy a toilet and put it in the common space?
honestly id be mad too if i was saito miu didnt even want to be here and she has no clue what shes doing like im rooting for her but also why are they doing this to her??????
Looking forward to read the book after this series is finished, but I loved that Park Chan-wook has chosen another TV project right in the same wheelhouse as his last one (The Little Drummer Girl), concerning the real and the artifice of spy craft with the director's signature magnetic style. The premiere might come off information-overload on paper, but Park's crosscutting montages and transitions make the story go down smoothly with the characters' emotions and humanity intact.
Being the first season after the movie, this season's felt like it's had something to prove, to bring on new viewers won from the movies and keep old viewers by showing the spark hasn't died so many seasons in. It's been a dang good run, but this episode in particular stands not just as the best of the season, or the best of the last few years, but one of its best period. It's funny, but more than anything it's overflowing with heart, it capitalizes on over a decade's worth of connection to this family and even minor characters like Gene's music teacher to show how much these characters have grown and how deep their love for each other runs.
Gene showing his music expertise and creativity to save his recital not just for himself but for his favorite teacher. Bob and Linda trying so hard to achieve the impossible. Louise exposing that beating heart and being that vulnerable kid who acts like she doesn't care because it makes things easier not just for her but everyone else too. And Tina seeing through it and having the maturity won over the series to know that some pageant doesn't matter half as much as being there for her sister. It all intertwines in a beautiful musical climax that honestly left me undone. I've been with this family for a decade, and episodes like these make sure I'll stay for decades more. This is an instant Christmas staple.
This is one of the biggest letdowns in years. You simply cannot go wrong with Fassbender, until you go voiceover all the way! The story is never thrilling, clever or original… it’s just a B-movie that was reanimated for a Netflix release. It somehow gave me the same disappointment as George Clooney in The American, but think that movie won by a margin… skip this movie and enjoy the better 2023 releases.
Another great performance by a guest actor, I like it a lot how every mental condition it's being portrayed so far, there are other Kdramas that have failed completely to showcase this, they wether show it as something terrible or they make fun of it when it's neither one or the other, this dramas shows that every person can suffer from it.
Also director Lee Jae Kyu has giving us some impresive shoots this episode!
Why didn't this series start with where this series ends????
I'm seriously in love with this drama. Fuka Koshiba's acting & even her choice of clothes is so damn good. I love the chaotic energy she radiates in the show. The comedy, romance and drama: Everything is spot-on.
Are they seriously trying to tell us this girl pitched a book to a publisher, got offered a deal and got published within two weeks? Dude. That's more unrealistic that time travelling.
What I can say for real, I think I'm gonna rewatch this ep a lot bc it's really perfect, touched my heart and made me happy while im having some bad time, Everything about was perfect, Soundtracks makes u feel that you are in another world and for sure the drawing beside the ep storyline,,,, Just so perfect,, And away from all of this, This scene when snake told them about his name, I felt that happines to degree you cant imagine, SO yah this ep that touchs your heart definitely
No.. Come on please nooo, enough sadness
nahhhhh come on, please give me more of this now
Well, in episode 5 I said that it could be one of the best anime of the season, now I think it will be.
Lee Kang: "You make me uncomfortable so please leave this country."
AKDJSHGAJSD THIS FOOL. :sob::sob::sob::rofl::rofl:
This is the lowest I rated on a series opener. I'm not really enjoying it . may be its just my dislike to Kim Seon-ho characters in general .
P.S In the end credits its show Doo-shik is really smitten by Hye-Jin smile but i don't like condescending attitude towards her as everyone has a situation .
Also ffs who makes you walk that long before giving a job I would just say eat shit and bail outta there lol
I was laughing my head off at the beginning. You immediately know you're watching Jojo.
