Morbius was better…
Daniel Kaluuya’s director debut is sadly a disappointing boring sci-fi that just takes too long to get going or even go anywhere, unfortunately. The 2 main characters are not dislikable but not likeable either. The world and setting are by far the only interesting parts to take out of it sadly not the characters so I'll probably never watch this again and I find it hard to even recommend.
As a football fan watching Ian Wright act and play Lord Kitchener actually worked.
Definitely a John Wick knockoff but you can't go wrong with Jason Statham killing and beating the crap out of everybody. I certainly didn't need a lesson on bees.
It put a smile on my face to see that bridge scene in the first 30mins which is a location that's close to my heart, been going to the seaside ever since I was a little kid
So Emma Stone is playing a grown woman with the mind of a little girl right, so it's fucked up to think that all those dudes who were sleeping with her, were simply fucking a little girl in a fully grown body, is that a 100% right or am I missing something?
I was going into this with low expectations simply because it looked stupid and weird. It was weird but with its aesthetic design, amazing performances by the cast and surprisingly hilarious, overall I found it quite good. Emma Stone is fantastic playing a pretty retard and watching a horny Mark Ruffalo call everyone a cunt was without a doubt the best part.
Knock off about 30mins and it's great for me. Despite enjoying it it's not a movie I wanna rewatch any time soon.
Also, as someone who's British, we tend to laugh at Americans attempting to do accents from Britain, especially from the Victorian era which is never great 90% of the time but they nailed it.
Even though it's my first watch it's genuinely one of my favourite horror movies ever, simply because I feel too many of them try too hard to just scare the audience first and then add the story but this is the opposite the story came first. For most of it, it was completely horrifying with some amazing hair & makeup work.
Shout out to Danny & Michael Philippou for pulling this off considering it's their first feature film.
What a waste of onion soup
I've never seen any of Dan Levy’s work so this was a first. It's a fairly lovely movie, I was expecting it to be a lot more emotional than it was especially from what I saw in the trailer. Acts 1 and 2 were good but faded away in the third act.
I liked the first half but the last half was ridiculous stupid. For everyone who says this is the most offensive movie ever, they've clearly never seen a Dave Chappelle stand-up special or if they have they are the ones who get easily offended by a comedian making jokes. As for this movie, it isn't the worst ever.
I've not had sex yet and that's not how you do it.
Wow, a silently powerful performance from Mia McKenna-Bruce and the rest of the cast is good. Molly Manning Walker with a great debut filled with authentic performances and a beautiful shot film.
David Holmes what a beautiful human being.
I was holding in the tears seriously throughout.
My mum forgot to make the stuffing for Christmas dinner so I wasn't in the best mood, so this didn't help.
It started strong but quickly turned to absolute shit. If you're gonna make a Christmas movie don't make the main character a little annoying c*nt.
Timothy Spall how and why?
Good first half unlike the last half which really lets itself down with a slow pace, frustrating character decisions and poor writing.
Overall OK.
Entertaining flick with a good cast. The second act drags on, almost playing the same scene repeatedly and then they rush to the final act.
What a disappointment
I thought the trailer for this was sick but the movie was far from it.
Seriously the decision to make this with no dialogue was a painful watch. I didn’t know before going into this that the way they made it because honestly, I was shouting at the screen begging for any of the characters to f-cking speak.
Joel Kinnaman's performance was probably the best part of the movie with some decent fight scenes.
Magnificent film
Having had such a great time with TÁR, I was really looking forward to this especially to see Bradley Cooper get his teeth into something since he did Burnt.
The story of Leonard Bernstein somebody who I'm not familiar with. This beautiful picture is filled with amazing performances by Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan followed by a great supporting cast, also who thought that Sarah Silverman can act that well. Amazing cinematography, for example I loved the way they synchronised one scene to another soo cleanly and the decision to make the earlier part of Leonard’s life shot in black & white then the later part in colour was a great choice. My only issue is the second act dragged a bit.
A Christmas rom-com with a nice family dynamic. Leighton Meester and Robbie Amell have good chemistry on screen. It provides plenty of smiles with joyful moments without the characters being over dramatic.
Half naked Alison Brie is probably the best thing I saw in this.
I honestly never laughed once.
John Cena was fine, but the writing lets him down especially when it comes to comedic moments which of course you tend to see him at he’s best.
30mins too long for this type of movie. The action scenes got worse and worse. I didn’t expect much from the plot so that wasn’t an issue. CG is laughable.
The villain had fuck all to do with Thanos something Disney advertised in the last trailer.
I didn’t hate it but it’s not a good movie.
There’s so many problems with this movie and only a few positives.
Positives:
- Ms Marvel (Kamala Khan) steals the show.
- The whole thing with teleportation whenever they use their powers was cool and well done.
- Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau were fine.
Negatives:
- The villain had nothing to do with Thanos. Honestly I can’t remember her name she was a 1 and done character that is quite forgettable.
- A planet where people sing as a way of communicating.
- Another MCU movie where there’s big consequences but never taken seriously with way too much humour especially Nick Fury who is meant to be the serious one.
- Mid-credit scene didn’t really provide anything new that we didn’t already know and no end credit scene.
Definitely not the worst MCU movie.
Anthony Mackie and Zoe Chao have great chemistry. The visuals were cool but at the end of the movie it doesn’t stand out from other romcoms with its generic ending.
Fuck that Spider!
I was fully engaged until the third act which the director totally drops the ball.
Luke Bracey’s energy and tension throughout this was very impressive.
I liked the aesthetic look but unfortunately the low budget shows a lot in the CGI.
Having not seen anything from Paco Plaza especially Veronica.
This being a prequel I didn't know what to expect. Beautiful cinematography and style managed to keep me awake until the second half which was brilliantly done and worth it in the end. Guess I'm gonna watch Veronica now.
I’m 10 years older after watching this my blood pressure went up during this and I’m only in my 20’s.
Absolutely enjoyed this.
- The Oscar for the Best performance by an Animal goes to Snoop.
- Watching those courtroom scenes is about as close I’m gonna get to be in one someday. Honestly theres a perfect 2hr movie in there especially when there was a few electric sequences were often followed by quieter scenes which dragged a little bit.
Cocaine Bear presents the spin-off we didn’t asked for Cocaine Shark
Really predictable, poor acting and overall boring.
Didn't hate it or love it, it's just Meh and it certainly doesn't feel like a Garfield movie whatsoever. Humour was hit or miss and the worst part is I've never seen so many advertisements in a kid's animated movie ever, I had to remind myself it wasn't a 90-minute Super Bowl ad. Chris Pratt as Garfield worked and the rest of the voice cast were fine.
That last 20 min ruined it for me I just couldn't take it seriously. It just seemed like there were more and more apes than what we saw throughout the film, and even worse where were the police at the end.
The fact this movie looks like it was shot with a flip phone made the experience even more intimidating and scary.
Also, I can't believe that there wasn't a single broken-down vehicle on the motorway.
How come the talking doll didn't give it away?
Out of all the things, the black puffer vests worn by the gorillas are without a doubt the funniest part to me.
Wtf were their ads at the start and end?
I'm a big fan of the Transformers franchise but sadly as a kid, I never had the opportunity to watch the original animated show so seeing it on the big screen for the first time unfortunately wasn't an enjoyable watch and sadly doesn't hold up nowadays.
Watching the original voice cast do their thing again for the pilot episode was good and the little bloopers were funny.
I like the cast, the story is nothing new but even for a low budget have seen better CGI (terrible creature design) and without a doubt, the worst part is the camera work way to shake.
I haven't seen The Omen (1976) or any of the other ones after that. First, the few positives are the whole movie is beautifully shot throughout credit to the cinematographer and as for the lead actress Nell Tiger Free as Margaret, she was good and anyone who watched her on Servant, you'll probably enjoy her performance. This movie is similar to Immaculate which was also released about a month ago but this is disappointing with it being way too long, repetitive, a little bit predictable and kinda weak for a horror.
