Many things that don't make sense:
– How does one live with a huge hole on his chest? Is he inmortal?
– How does one survive a high altitude fall into the sand, with no protection? He is inmortal.
– Why would Obadiah want Tony Stark murdered? After his kidnapping and change of heart, sure, but before? He is the golden goose... even Obadiah admits it so!
– Also, why would he keep the incriminating video messages on the company server? For a criminal mastermind, he's pretty dumb :joy:
– Why is Tony breathless and weak when the chest thingie is off? The magnet is supposed to stop the sharpnel inside his body from reaching the heart... it's not powering the heart itself!
– By the way, how does a magnet near the heart stop sharpnel from reaching the heart? Doesn't the magnet attract the metal? Closer to the heart?
– Isn't there anything else in the human body that could get pierced by sharpnel and kill you? Lungs, liver, stomach, arteries...
– Why does the generator run out of power? 20%, 15%... it's a generator, not a batery!
Anyway, good movie, fun to watch without thinking too much... and great start for the Marvel Universe, who would have thought all that was to come after this? :nerd: (Not Terrence Howard, that's for sure :joy:)

@ajperez81 You have to realize why it is called SCIENCE FICTION, the accent on the FICTION part. Just enjoy the story & be thankful that we have such imaginative minds to give us such insights into what one day may be possible Cheers Paul
God I hate this movie, A mutant whose powers is to nullify other mutants powers??? REALLY.. FREAKING REALLY?!?! First they say its "EVOLUTION" then ALL OF A SUDDEN they can DE-EVOLUTIONIZE them back to being "normal" homo sapiens??? HECK WHY STOP THERE?!?! Why not DE-EVOLUTIONIZE all of humanity back to primitive APES?!?!
CHEAPEST COP OUT EVER!!!
Avoid this movie at all costs. Or better just forget it EVER existed!

someone forgot to take their meds :D
This movie could be so much better, I am not saying it is a bad one but here is THE one point that made me feel extremely uncomfortable:
This part is going to sound like a pure rant mostly because someone has to explain to me how the hell Darwin's death is within logic? Let me get you see the serious flaw of logic here. Darwin's supernatural power is making him to adapt to anything. He can literally adapt to everything and anything. One time his powers realized that it would be so dangerous to fight with the Hulk so they ended up teleporting him to another country. Another time he became a cosmic ball of energy and then rematerialized as a human being to you know.. not die? And another time he was shot with a gun that was made to kill anything that has a nervous system, and you know what he did, turned into a freaking sponge. He literally touched a goddess of death once and his powers turned him into a death god himself to prevent his death. And after all of these, seeing him die because of a pathetic ball of kinetic energy from Shaw? Seriously guys, am I the only person who sees the flaw here? They killed the mutant whose power is about nothing but SURVIVAL. And Shaw says "Adapt to this"?? well, he should have been able to! I will never get over his death, in my mind he turned into an energy ball and ascended to another existence so he would not have to deal with this nonsense.. okay, rant over.
Thank you for reading my rant.

@hymntothesea One theory is that he didn't die and it just looked like he did. Which is a theory I enjoy giving credence to since he was one of my favorite characters of the movie.

@hymntothesea I know nothing about comic book lore. Based on your passionate treatment alone, I want to say I agree 100% on the Darwin commentary. He should have lived!
They didn't do only a below average movie… They also runied Dead Pool!

You said it's a "below average movie", but yet you gave it 6/10 stars (or in this case hearts) which is technically above average.
While still funny and immensely entertaining, I confess I was a little disappointed with Deadpool. With this character, they had an opportunity to make a completely ridiculous and nonsensical superhero movie, and what we got as another generic plot following the tired origin story / damsel-in-distress formula, with a bit of crude humor and 4th-wall breaking mixed in. I almost wonder if that was the cost for finally getting this movie made.

@genesisx @myerz Nobody in this comment reply seems to make any sense. OP's not tired of the breaking of 4th wall--OP thinks the movie should go beyond that! DEADPOOL should've been MORE non-sensical rather than just a generic comedy-action with a bit of breaking of 4th wall.
And yeah this is the first we've seen Deadpool's origin story but we have already seen COUNTLESS of other superheroes' origin story. Which is kinda boring.
Damn son, I didn't know fanboys can be this dense.
