yeah i wont admit it i liked their relationship but that ending .... yeah i know why people were complaining about it. and also its revolting how sexist some parts of this movie were (and sexist within subsequent reviews as well). just a one off example: daniel calling her "my wife" even though they've been divorced
is this a bad time to say i only watched this because a tiktok account posted one of the clips of it (the scene where he comes to the airport in active withdrawl)? i didn't really like it, by the way--the ending was exceptionally shitty and i didnt really understand what was happening in a lot of scenes. and JT is just an asshole? like he is not likeable at ALL.
I love this idc first one blew my mind this one blew it even more (watched it back to back). Not sure about the romantic aspect though didn't like that too much, but the action? Crazy. the fight scenes? Insane.
My dad owned the cd soundtrack so a year or two back I was fucking around with the collection and found it, didn't even bother to watch the actual movie until today. Funny. good soundtrack
i dont know why i sat through the whole thing - rick moranis was kinda hot, and i liked levi stubbs' voice, i guess.... 80's musical movie adaptation trash with ugly puppets and a girl with the worst voice ive ever heard
honestly started this off as a thirst-watch (ewan) and ended as a thirst-watch. would i watch this again? probably. i liked the fun dancing scene and kerry fox and ewan mcgregor (christopher was cool no hate but his character was lame) BUT the plot was so weird and just... not funny? felt a lot more serious than they had wanted it to be, and not in a good way. i did LOVE the directing style, though. would watch it again just for that, tbh
Honestly the only action movie that I think is better than this is Die Hard. And that's a hard feat to beat, so...
Was absolutely captivated the whole movie, had no idea where it was going to go, even though at the end in hindsight it looked pretty obvious. But damn! This was great. On the edge of my seat the whole time
eh, out of all the 90s/2000s silly adam sandler movies, this one's a bit more serious and also a bit more "what the fuck did i just watch??". wish i watched happy gilmore for the 10th time instead
a pretty shitty sequel but one note - i'm in the middle of putting all of my watch history from letterboxd right now, so i type in "smokey and the bandit ii" and yknow i like putting up the peace sign whenever i type/read two sometimes and i did it this time, and i look at the poster. omg we're twinning burt reynolds! anyways the first movie had a sort of ending but in this one they just completely ditched the deal? kinda a loser ending tbh
i enjoyed it, but i feel like that was purely because half of my attention was on crocheting lol. not much happens, but it happens well. the acting really helps this movie along. absolutely heartbreaking seeing her on the floor.
the twist was fucking insane to me idc idc i was going insane
lowk wanted to turn it off multiple times & ngl the only parts i liked about it were aboout 45 min in? an hour? when their relationship started to get all fucked up. but the idea of what could be will never fail to get me emotional so it left me feeling good about the movie
i actually really liked this, gave me a good laugh at some points too :)
idk this was probably my favorite movie of the 2020s
i completely understand why people wouldnt like this movie (non homophobic reasons) but i love it. beautiful mix of love + grief and a love lost. "sometimes i miss you so much i can hardly stand it."
Eughh.... i only really liked the last bit of the movie where things started to happen.
big, beautiful, and dumb. i love this movie.
it was okay? i never really felt invested in their relationship tho
i never truly liked rush hour, but it was a silly watch that had me laughing at the absurdity. rush hour 2 is everything rush hour was, except take out the parts where rush hour was funny. did not enjoy this movie, even with the vegas part. usually that makes me love a movie but here it just felt, idk. out of place and kinda forced. ngl the bloopers were the best part
the most 90s computers-focused movie ever. loved it
...merry christmas eve i guess
love riz ahmed in this. spectacular performance
really well made thriller! loved the look ben affleck's got going on and the action scenes are insanely good got u on the edge of your seat n everything. dont care if it was oscar bait it was good oscar bait
really good! the animation was kinda ehh tho. love that it is now canon that footloose exists in the mcu
sooo insanely stupid but i can't help to like it
just wish there was more bucky and sam and less pierce and rumlow
its not that bad, not great either.
i was enjoying it then they called his dick a member and it went downhill after that. but after the party blow up it started to get better. music is pretty good love the gin blossoms
only bad thing id really have to say is that this definitely does not "feel" like an x-men movie. it's good, dont get me wrong. and ofc it has the mutant powers. but it didnt have the same team fighting against a huge power to take it down type feel. and good for it honestly, it woulda been worse w the team. hope we get more stuff with laura and the rest of the kids
it was good, sad point nearing the end but liked the happy ending that came without forcing nina and george to be together. also, bonus points for jennifer aniston and paul rudd and alan alda (i dont know who anyone else is but steve zahn is hot too)
not at all what i wanted from a boxing movie
