Everyone around here is too obsessed with trashing this show (STD does make things easy for them on that matter, sadly), whereas I'm just rooting like a fangirl for Mr. Saru and Vulcan Madam President to get it on.
That ending was so freaking obvious. Do they have high school kids writing for this show now?
the active users on here are hilarious. each episode is "it can't get any worse" or something along those lines. and yet, without missing a beat, there they are on the next episode, commenting almost the same thing. i don't get how y'all spend so much time on something you "don't like" but your activity and effort says otherwise.
Despite... * gestures generally * everything, cool things are happening on screen and I'm still into it.
Did wonder about those questionable grey uniforms that closed us out last season, I'm glad they've amended that situation with the lovely new threads.
All in all, Discovery is still good entertainment to be enjoyed with a hot beverage and some nice tea biscuits. Hurrah.
Many story elements were predictable, others make little to no sense. And yet this was way better than most we were offered in this season. A decent final, to a devastating experience.
The best part was when a bunch of Wall-Es/Evas showed up and started talking! XD
Pointless filler episode.
People doing things that make no sense.
Discovery taken over too easily.
So Burnham isn't first officer anymore, Tilly is (I already wrote about how idiotic that is last episode - which caused my hiatus). Yet Tilly isn't there when Burnham and Saru make all (but one) of the decisions.
To make matters worse, Tilly volunteers someone to do something which will get them "punished severly" proving that she is not cut out for the job (actually she shouldn't be an officer at all).
Officers should make the best decisions possible based on the situation, but if it is your idea, it is YOUR responsibility. Meaning she should make it an order and take the punishment herself.
I came here to read some whining comments from right wing snowflakes about a character coming out as non-binary in this episode. I was not disappointed.
There was some cool new CGI in this episode :)
Michael disregarding a direct order was predictable and while the consequences might suck we got at least so see her and Book back together (even finally kissing :D).
That scene with Adira and Paul was also very nice as well as the discussion between Paul and Hugh.
And we learned more about Philippa's condition.
Michael and Book are lovely together, I really hope they'll be reunited. I was a bit concerned about Michael's dreadlocks but I do like it. Getting used to her new personality is a bit difficult for me (I remember her as pretty serious and really liked that, especially together with Ash Tyler) but I'm starting to really like it. At least she's still badass.
Anyway, that was a nice episode :D There are still sparkles, hull damage, and computer screen malfunctions when they're getting hit by torpedos, which seems pretty silly, but I liked the diplomatic twist (that's what Starfleet's about and they're not a warship).
Got to say... it would take longer than a year for Michael's hair to grow that long
Better than the last episode, but still not really feeling it. Not sure what it is, but this doesn't feel like Star Trek to me. Hmm
Flicking through the Klingon sections coz that whole thing is fucking painful ugh.
I loved it! And although it's HEA I cried for them bc they lost those 5 years of being happy together...
The chemistry between them is :fire: so good!
Anne is a literal queen and i love her so much. Will definitely re-watch.
While most of the cast struggles to convey the depth of their characters, Mychala Lee's portrayal stands out for its glaring inability to authentically depict even the most fundamental emotions required for her role. This critical shortcoming undermines the show's potential, leaving much to be desired for fans of the original work.
I recommend The Magicians instead.
So, Bode's deliberating murder while Jake, Vince (and everyone else except Sharon and Gabriella) are worrying on the outside. The fix-it for Bode's re-imprisonment is a bit too easy, especially the "ah, I have a daughter whom I didn't know of and now even the bad guy has to be compassionate and tell the truth because I saved his life"... urgh.
And Gabriella, sorry, but WTF? She's so hurt by Bode that he didn't reply to a couple of letters (after confessing her undying love and patience) that she immediately turns to the next guy, confesses her undying love and gets engaged... all in 7 months? Yeah, talk about poor little lovesick girl. What a useless characterization.
With Bode back at 3 Rocks it's reset button back to the beginning of season 1.
Big day for bisexuals :heartpulse::purple_heart::blue_heart:
Moving to ABC was the best thing to happen to this show and I can't wait to see how the rest of this season turns out
Yes, rating this a "1" before seeing it is a tad childish. But, given that I will never go and see this film, I feel it's fair to show my displeasure towards Disney given the direction this film seems to have taken.
Didn't care for Dead City, and this was a lot better than that. It amused me in the final scene where it was 100% french people, that halfway through the scene they just decided to start talking english for no reason lol
So much better than Dead City…. It’s something about Daryl that’s endearing. You want him to survive…. I wanted Maggie to die in Dead City… so annoying
Can they please stop putting stupid children in these series? They always mess something up. Kid had one job, lock the door, didn't do it. Hope Daryl doesn't get put up with him.
I spent most of this episode on my phone because it was just too bad to handle. The first half of the season was okay, but I didn't care about anything or anyone in the second half.
We deserve to see the hybrid & reptilian populated earth Mr Murphy!!!
Um ok wtf. This is too much. Glad it ends next episode. Weakest storyline in the AHS universe.
What is this?
Finally a good episode this season?
Amazing... oh no... wait... we went back to the future with a couple of diverse 2020 tweens being preggo
This season is crap, crap, crap. The best thing about AHS, and sometimes the only thing that make it worth watching in the later seasons, was the superb cast. Between Angela Bassett, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, and Sarah Paulson, you could always count on the actors saving an otherwise mediocre script. However, for whatever reason, they decided to shelve all of their A-List actors this season and leave only teenagers, making this season almost Freeform or CW quality of both writing and acting
What is this, the proto molecule?!
This show is one hell of a contraceptive.
