Warning: If you are going to watch this on Disney+, the episodes are NOT in order in the slightest in Season 2. Good luck!
Terrible show you want so badly to be good. The writing is so lazy and cheap. Cliffhanger tactics to keep people watching.
The Mandalorian started out OK, but ended up as some half-baked, lazily written show that exist merely to lure parents to justify a Disney+ subscription. Kids get the usual Disney contents, moms get Baby Yoda, dads get Star Wars nerdy reference. The show almost feels like being made by a bunch of fanfiction writers with familiarity of the setting but zero sense of screen writing.
Nothing wrong with liking it, it's just the show appears to be all style and no substance.
Storyline shows no complexity at all. In fact, most of them are fillers. You can skip 4 of 8 episodes and you'll still understand the story just fine. Characters are completely uninteresting. None of them are developed. None of them had nuances: protagonists are morally good heroes; antagonists are one dimensional evils. The show relies only on a cute muppet and flashy action, but has zero substance. Had a potential great world-building with some details, but they chose to abandon it for rule of cool (and cute).
The "it's Star Wars, so it'll be simple" excuse commonly said by the series' defenders doesn't hold up if you actually consider other Star Wars titles such as Knights of the Old Republic, Republic Commando, Jedi Academy, Thrawn trilogy, the original and Tartakovsky's Clone Wars, and so on. Those titles are known for having remarkable storytelling; something that The Mandalorian doesn't have for its poverty of creative vision.
Ends on cliff hanger. Starts new ep. 5 minutes in its good. next 40 minutes its quite disappointing. Ends on cliff hanger. Repeat.
Grotesque insanity. Absurd Fakeumentary with claims that Democrats are the ones in the south who ran the slave plantations of the south...
Now Complete Rubbih this show
If somebody is confused about episode information or similar. Due to TMDB guidelines, "YouTube videos, including viral videos and videos created by popular YouTubers or famous actors" is violating their entry and isn't accepted. Guess it's time to migrate to TVDB
This show doesn't deserve a big Toblerone.
I just watched the opening credits and HOLY CRAP! This seriously looks very interesting!
Not only because its based on one of my favorite childhood tv shows, but also because at the same time its not a complete 1-on-1 copy of the tv show from the late 80ties. The characters seem much more refined.
For example in the original Huey, Dewey, and Louie were 3 exact copies of each other, with acting in the same way, often all talking in choir saying the same things, and wearing the same outfits. But if you look closely to the opening credits you can see that they all 3 have very distinct expressions and actions to different situations.
I also liked the many references to the old comic books, like for example the flying ship in the sky https://www.youtu.be/YKSU82afy1w?t=27s , which is in fact a famous story and painting made by Carl Barks (who is responsible for pretty much inventing every character in the Duck-universe) called the Flying Dutchmen www.i.imgur.com/aCiKP8q.jpg.
I love the attention of detail the opening credits have and how much information they managed to get into that 1 minute and 12 seconds. I will definitely be looking out for this one, and i can already recommend this show to anyone young and old.
star is absolutely adorable, and i love how the villain is a birdy!
It's not supposed to be taken seriously, and that is great. It's not as /dark/ as the original Teen Titans tvshow (or most of DC tvshows, to be honest) but it's silly and funny and that was probably the point. It's a great silly show that makes you laugh. There's nothing wrong with that.
“Amazon Prime making Stranger Things, but different enough to avoid a lawsuit.”
It’s actually based on a comic series. I have read a little bit of it and it’s not Stranger Things.
If they hadn't kissed at the end I would have killed the writers
Hi all,
actually the second(2nd) season I think it should be separate because it is named "Deutschland 86". Or am I wrong?!
Bravest warriors is a great show which is still going, but sadly unlike before its not on youtube anymore.
Unless you live in the US you cant watch it anymore. Due to budget reasons all future episodes now come out on a platform thats US only. (VRV)
Which is understandable, but most of their audience found them trough youtube so alot of the fans have died off.
great show, i give it 6 bags of popcorn and 2 sodas
this is definitely the best anime of the season
EDIT: *OF THE FREAKING HISTORY k
This is one of the best cartoons ever made. The satirical view of the real world combined with two major characters who develop each episode to an epic and funny story makes it a wonder to watch.
Also in terms of visual graphics it's probably the most beautiful in TV right now. Keep going the "Amazing World of Gumball"!
Apart from being one of the best cartoons ever made, one of the things that sets Gumball apart it's the ability to please both kids and grownups with it's humor. While I don't often enjoy most cartoons my kid watches, I just love to watch Gumball with her.
I'm 31 and I laugh hard to this cartoon!! It's so funny, fresh and always unexpected.
I'm so glad I discovered it by chance on a kids channel!
They've confused the last half of season 1 as season 2. Hope this gets updated with the real season 2 premiere dates. I'm glad they added these episodes to back to season 1 at least.
Nov 9, 2017 Edit: this hasn't been updated in over a year and the likes are great but I wish an admin would just fix it already. If I could, I would have done it myself a long time ago. End the neglect!
2018 Feb 4 Edit: The problem has been fixed. Thank you!!
[5.5/10] There wasn’t much to this one. The Mark Zuckerberg as Kung Fu overdub bit was a complete and total misfire. The metaphor that people invited Facebook into their lives and then complained about its omnipresence was pretty blunt without having a particularly interesting satirical take on the idea.
There was some easy humor to be derived from the boys not being interested in becoming superheroes to make lots of money rather than to help people (and jokes at Netflix’s expense about greenlighting everything), but it’s pretty simple stuff. And Butters running his own misinformation campaign had potential but didn’t get really off the ground.
Frankly, I would have expected a more incisive take on the whole “fake news” phenomenon from South Park than this. Sure, using fake news against Zuckerberg himself to win is mildly clever, but even then it’s a pretty standard reversal. I guess this one mostly existed to reintroduce Coon and Friends ahead of the new South Park game.
Overall, one of the shaggier and all around weaker episodes of the season so far.
fun show but its humor dried up at the end so I am not sad it was canned after season 4/5 depending on what your numbering is.
A solid 2 parter episode from Superman the Cartoon Series. If you have Amazon Prime you can watch the 2 part episode for free since the show is on Prime. Don't be a sucker and buy the movie for $15 since it's not even a movie and is the same thing.
Fairy Tail brings nothing new to the table
DBZ style fighting with arcs that look just like the one before and fan-service that even gets in the way of whats going on in the series and the writer doesn't care how many plot holes it makes (especially since its one of the main reasons why people buy his manga)
im hoping that the tournament arc will be epic but i wont be surprised if it ends up being something a elementary school kid can make up
if anything FT is not a serious Anime/Manga and if this keeps up it never will be
2/10
the songs, oh my god the songs. <3
I don't get why Ash/Satoshi gets so much hate. He honestly makes me like the anime way more than the games.
Anno's Animator Expo showcases a diverse range of short movies with different approaches when it comes to animation. The amount of CG heavy productions gets bigger every year and certain advances can be seen here as well (with various degree of success). As with any collection of shorts there are some standouts (which even gathered some attention outside the project) and some not so great entries. Given the size those are very few though.
The project seems to have been vastly ignored by everybody which is understandable, I hope however that these kind of projects keep on coming (like Ani*Kuri, Anime Mirai, etc.).
