American Gods is the only show to portray accurately what it feels like to be kicked in the balls.
The perfect example of why you should always make backups and keep them in a different location.
I don't know if it's the actress, the character, or both, but "Auggy" is the most obnoxious and irritating character I've seen in quite a while. Tiresome af, tarnishes any scene she's in.
Didn't like Toto's reaction to Vasseur's justified complaints after Sainz got a grid penalty..
And what was the reason again Charles wasn't allowed to do some donuts? Did it have to do with fuel levels?
The Norris erasure in Singapore was a baffling choice. It's not like the papaya car is going to be invisible in the visuals.
Great episode until the poor Singapore Race edit. Carlos was a genius in that one, but that was unfortunately dismissed.
Watching this episode makes you feel like all they said was a lie. Funny how things don't age well
Full disclosure, I think Matt Damon is one of the most undervalued actors in the business. Just look at his range of performances - the butt of the joke in OCEANS, a man reduced in DOWNSIZING, a meticulous and idealistic car designer in FORD V FERRARI, an action star in the BOURNE franchise, and now, a redneck American trying to make good for his daughter in a foreign world. Matt Damon is a good actor. This is a good movie. The acting is right on it’s mark. The tone is gritty. The pace is heartfelt but real. I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10.
I would have switched the first two episodes to be honest as this is a far better season premiere. And with the final shot than leading into Omega's confinement and that new facility location makes more sense to me.
Everyone speaks english again. It's still annoing.
Arthur is such a drunken shit bag.
So good, but haters gonna hate!
Can't wait for next season
Rest in power, Lance Reddick. Hope we get to see lots more of Charon.
Why people rated this so low?
The shot where Anakin walks into the smoke during the clone wars and that blink and miss Anakin-Vader-Anakin transition was a thing of beauty :sob::sob::sob:
May the force be with you.
A big disappointment. Flat and stereotype story. Only seen the first episode though so maybe it changes...
The movie was nice, but Kristen Stewart is a really bad actress, she kept the same face during the entire movie...
I really enjoyed the fourth episode. My only minor critique is that the writers chose to portray the Czech Republic as bordering Russia, whereas, in reality, it does not. Poland would have been the more logical choice. However, I understand this is a TV show; not everything has to be 100% accurate. Regardless, a little more attention to detail goes a long way, but it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme.
This season has seen the series’ tightest writing to date, which is an encouraging sign for the show’s future.
03x04 - Our Death's Keeper: 7.6/10 (Impressive)
WTF was that? You can declare somebody persona non grata and expel them from your country, but you cannot force to shutdown an embassy! Not unless you're flat out declaring war.
That was extremely dumb. Necessary for the plot, I guess, but so very dumb.
Also, it's "ilegales", not "iligales"...
Sabine Wren would be a huge fan of this episode.
The colors match the tone/mood of the main character. The creators just took paint, and made it beautiful. Eye catching, so much detail, I probably missed something.
Please just put Naomi in a closet and forget about her for the rest of the show.
MODERATION EDIT: Don't use those words here.
Something like 90% of the Naomi stuff in this one is a waste of time. A well done waste of time, but a waste of time nonetheless. It just kills the overall pacing of the episode and is WAY too much soap and way too little sci-fi. Throw in the fact that there is no Amos and only a brief bit of "Chrissy" and it all adds up to a rare disappointment for me, and one that feels like it lasted every minute of its runtime.
Holden: Guys! Guys!!!
Fred Johnson: What did you do?
Holden: There was a button. I pushed it.
Fred: Jesus Christ. That's really how you go through life, isn't it.
Fernando Alanso : I am on the Dark Side
We met Mick several times before he got into GP3 & 2 -really nice down to earth kid, but this is not his destiny. He should have blazed his own trail and gone to WEC, ELMS, FormulaE or even IndyCar. He'll always be compared to his dad and he just doesn't have the same ruthlessness and talent.
My wife says "Look at his eyes" (and his sister when she competes on her horses) - they are just going through the motions. They are lifeless - Michael still being alive is destroying this family unfortunately because they can't 'move on'.
