i havent seen such a great episode of anything in such a long time.

so many plot twists n shit, the entire thing was unpredictable unlike most boring shows out there.

listen. a lot of lesbians hate patriarchy and toxic masculinity, but the way that they're writing Mel is just... way over the top.

"I don'’t need a big, strong man to help me make a salt circle." is just one of the many lines that Mel had on the show that are just... plain dumb, in a lack of a better expression. If I were to struggle w tons of salt bags and a man twice my size offers to help, I'd let him have at it. Lift dem bags for me since u have 3 times more strength than me.

There's nothing wrong w accepting help from a man if he's in a better position to finish the task. I'm sure 95% of lesbians would agree with me.

tl;dr: Feminism is great, but being rude to men and bashing them for no reason when they just wanna help is like...... not feminism. it's stupid af. dem writers need a better perspective bc they're making us lesbians look dumb.

As for the rest of the show, it's nice. I'm not super impressed but it's a fun show to watch.

While I absolutely support what Maggie said about black girls being in more danger than while people and nobody doing anything about it, the part of her speech about how COVID is killing black people at a bigger rate than white people, and how if it was the other way around everyone would be wearing masks as it would be mandatory to protect white people, it made no sense.

Sometimes, Americans forget that the rest of the world exists.

As a person from a European country where literally almost everyone is white, let me tell you that COVID is killing a lot of white people and still nobody wears a mask because people are just stupid and don't care about anyone's wellbeing but their own.

Ok while this plot twist isn't ideal, Ruby Rose wanted to leave the show so you can't blame them for killing her character off (if Kate is even dead), cause it's not like they had much choice.

That being said, I love the new Batwoman character, she has depth and a very interesting personality, and I'm also so relieved that she's also a lesbian bc I was scared they're gonna replace Kate with a straightie. So sad for her mom tho, but I guess she needed an origin story and that's usually a death of a parent.. talk about an obvious trope but I'll roll with it.

While I like Rachel Skarsten since Lost Girl, I never liked Alice and tbh she served her purpose and is boring as hell so I hope this "new storyline" she has won't last too long.

I love that this show deals with racism and misogyny in many of its episodes. Even tho most of its cast are white men, they manage to include those storylines often.
This show may not be perfect, but I love it bc it's quite entertaining and it's not too dark even when it deals with heavy subjects.

Also, may I just say how damn grateful I am that Rip Hunter is gone at least for now. I didn't like that dude at all.
