Loot: 1x10 The Silver Moon Summit

Do you not see the irony of a multi trillion dollar company lecturing us on how bad wealth is, while they charge north of 1000 for almost every thing they sell. And then they have the balls to place their products in the series.

And the CEO itself being a billionaire :joy:. His pay was even questioned by the SEC so HE willingly asked the shareholders for a 40% pay cut.

Loki: 2x06 Glorious Purpose

What's up with the renslayer scene though? Seems in a TVA-disused far future, and purple light was previously associated with he who remains. Back-up-back-up plan of his?
Nice come back to nordic mythology with yggdrasil, literally holding worlds/timelines together.

loading replies

Renslayer is in the void cause she was pruned (pyramids] and the purple was Alioth the smoke monster. The TVA has gotten destroyed multiple times, like He who remains said as well, the loom was supposed to protect the sacred timeline so every time the threshold surpasses the loom killed those timelines and destroyed TVA was rebuilt with everyone’s memories wiped

Loki: 2x06 Glorious Purpose

This season was below average according to me.

There was no proper explanation for most of the things. Things happened and powers were gained because Deus Ex Machina.

Main point of Season 2 was branches have people with life's, we shouldn't kill them. Throughout the season, people on the branches were killed and resurrected nonstop.

In the end, Loki's decision, we can't save the Loom from exploding - So let's stop He Who Remains from dying, so that atleast the Sacred Timeline survives, other timelines be damned. Like it's defeating the entire premise of the show.

Loki became God of Stories without the name drop. How he got the power to save multiverse - nobody knows. No explanation. No setup, nothing

Bahut gandha story tha.

My guy didn’t pay attention, he got the time slipping powers from He who remains, he paved the way until that point. He knew how everything would go and how Loki will eventually have the character development to sacrifice himself to replace he who remains (even in S1 he planned it all to get Loki there as a replacement). Basically Charlie and the chocolate factory. He who remains has the same power and that’s how he defeated all the other kang variants

Nimona

Glad Disney got rid of this movie cause it wouldn't turned out so good otherwise. Funny and likeable protagonist (great voice acting), girl power done right. Gay couple but not forced. Quite emotional as well. Glad to see the classic animation style made more creative and modern instead of the usual Pixar 3D models.

loading replies

Great voice acting too, especially for Nimona

Black Mirror: 3x06 Hated in the Nation

Not sure why they didn't move the Chancellor out of country? Also, who thought building automated nano machines with a backdoor to the government was a good idea anyway? All the more reason to save the bees tbh.

Just put him in a bulletproof box with tiny holes for ventilation

Mr. Robot: 4x05 405 Method Not Allowed

Fucking diabolical.
He's in a good shape for a nerd though.

He was talking drugs to not addicted to drugs, so he must care about his health. He was seen to have abs in the first season as well. Don’t know how he workouts

Ted Lasso

Hilarious, quite emotional, inspirational and enjoyable show with football that binds all these characters together. 3 seasons made me cry far too many times, that’s impressive cause it’s pretty hard to do that

loading replies

Only sad that show ended so abruptly, it makes sense but it still hurts cause these characters have so much potential

2001: A Space Odyssey

Only good thing was the music and the impressive practical effect and visual trickery for such an old movie

loading replies

If it wasn’t for the visuals then I would’ve given it a 1, such a long and boring movie

Action packed movie, exhilarating and the science behind the movie is believable. The acting could’ve been better, and that WHO head is such a pain the ass, thrice he made noises that attracted the zombies. Why was he even there, they could’ve indicated which infection to take through the cctv cameras and the light on it.

loading replies

@madmax2004 what science? Get bitten and in 12 seconds you are mindless but have super human stamina, speed, and toughness? That checks out.

loading replies

No the virus looking for a healthy host and that leading to the vaccine. The zombie part obviously needs suspension of disbelief, cause the Science for that won’t ever make sense. Even the fungi in last of us is believable but factually incorrect

War

Predictable and cheesy plot but it was still quite entertaining. The director sure loves fast and furious and mission impossible movies. The music and background score worked well, good set pieces but a lot of spotty CGI.

How did the mother not recognise that it wasn’t Saurabh. No biometric authorisation in such a secretive place? Would’ve preferred background score during the fight scenes because without it the scenes are laughable. The only girl in the fighting squad never fights or shoots just researches and does work for on her computer, why was she part of the field agents team. How did the colonel and Saina not research beforehand about Firoz contractor, who goes abroad to investigate without doing a character profile beforehand.

Inconsistencies like Saurabh not shooting Kabir in the train cause he doesn’t care about the people around him. Also how is Saurabh able to do all the gymnastics in fight scenes like Khalid. Would’ve preferred background scores in fight scenes since the silence made the fight sometimes laughable

loading replies

Also how didn’t Khalid’s figure out how her son doesn’t behave the same when they interact

Khalid was supposed to be better than the rest of the team and still he goes head on with Kabir. The only girl in the team doesn’t fight or shoot once and is always researching, how was she even eligible to be fighter agent when all her work is done in the office.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

Way better than the first one but still only made me laugh only for handful of times. The plot wasn’t cringe like the first one and was interesting. The cameos were fun.

loading replies

And the satirisation on the current state of news was clever as well, which I don’t think the first one did except for the sexism back in those days

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

The first half wasn’t that interesting but it delivered what the name said unlike MoM, since the abundance of creatures explained the Quantamania. The second half was amazing and the acting was great

loading replies

Weirdly there were barely Indians in the credits, that used to be a fun game. It barely appears in the Production Department and IT. WE NEED MORE REPRESENTATION IN THE VFX SECTION

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Worst movie I’ve ever seen. Didn’t laugh once from the exaggerated acting. Can’t believe this was a hit. Awkward humour worked in The Office but in this it was straight up cringy and unbearable

loading replies

The comedy aged like milk just like many of the movies from this era, this was just worser because of the characters.

loading replies

The only reason I gave it a 2 because of the dedication to the setting and the focus on the underlying themes of sexism and the patriarchy
