"People love what other people are passionate about."
It is just incredible how just watching a movie can improve my mood 100 times. The soundtrack is phenomenal and seeing it with the dances makes it so much better. The ending is still very emotional even on a fourth viewing.
I think that overrated is the word to describe this movie.
Not quite as scary as Hereditary but does a great job at making you feel uneasy the whole time. It's shot beautifully. Florence Pugh is terrific. She was really the only character I cared about. It is very slow and I'm still not entirely sure what happened.
This is a really funny movie. I loved it! Keanu Reeves was worth the entire movie. Sweet comedy
The problem with this movie is that it's almost exactly the same as the original and is therefore pointless. Even with the fact it took place in the modern era, it still felt like the same movie. Yes the effects were "better" but that doesn't make it more interesting. Chloe Grace Moretz didn't even bring anything new to the role other than being way too attractive to be believed as a pariah.
Absolutely incredible movie. I can't believe I haven't seen it until now.
Astonishing, it definetly touched me. I'ts my new favourite movie, it's so moving and deep.
A great, feel-good, Christmas movie. Enjoyed this. I mean, you can see the ending coming a mile off, but that doesn't stop you from enjoying the ride along the way.
Went in with a open mind, knew nothing about the movie. Just in there for Alexandra Daddario. Some parts were cliched, wouldn't deny that. But the comedy worked. It was not boring, meanwhile it could have definitely been a lot better!
Have nothing to watch? Go for it.
Most overrated movie ever. Was entertaining at best.
Not a movie for everyone, if you are searching for a simple horror or SciFy movie then this is not your best choice! To anyone who knows the "details" of this movie such as political and social context in South Korea would see the "real movie", a movie hiding in a movie, Bong Joon Ho is probably one of the most clever directors I've seen!
This film is the kind of horror that shows the real monster that humans are. Political and social criticism of Korea and the USA, a little comedy and very good actors.
It was a nice movie. Nothing special, but Anne and Jake are both great.
I am so freaking in love with this movie and my heart is mush. No mean girls, supportive characters everywhere, and female friendships ftw. I only regret that I was dumb enough to not read the book first.
I don't care what people say - this is such a great movie...
Potentially my favourite princess movie! Nobody could ever play Giselle like Amy Adams, she is utterly perfect! I totally relate to Giselle, as in real life I literally burst out into princess singing and dancing all the time! This movie is so much fun! I could watch it over and over. The characters are so lovable, the songs are so catchy and it is so light-hearted <3
Tuned in because it was baited by the lesbian storyline. But then stayed for the nice friendship story. It's so cute and sweet.
Sharks are like dogs, they only bite when you touch their private parts
Some great acting! but that said it is still a terribly boring watch all the way through I was waiting for something to happen but nothing ever really did happen apart from that lots of sitting on a beach. 2/10
Seriously disappointed in this film, it was pretty good up until the last 20 minutes, where they left every single question unanswered, and ruined the whole film. No mention of who the person in the open house was, or of their motives! Absolute rubbish.
I just re-watched this, and as stunning as I think Argento's visuals and music are, I'm glad they're doing a remake. This suffers from being too disjointed and fakey, and the acting blows. I could accept it as a B movie, but it's too gorgeous for a B movie, and too dumb for a good movie. If the remake can take the best parts of Argento and bring some good writing and acting, it could really have something.
whoever rates this lower than 5 stars clearly cant have fun
I'm not sure whether to give this a 1 or a 10.
Actual Rating 8.5*
This was a really good depiction of the life of Elvis Presley. I'm going to be honest and say it took a little while to get into but it had a great pay off in the end.
I played the hating game all the way through this vapid movie.
I felt that this was a good way to wrap this trilogy. And, while this didn't have the traditional happy ending most films of this genre have, this is exactly what makes this film stand apart from those others. Life can only be mapped out so far in advance, and there will always be unforeseen circumstances that cause us to take detours from the destinations we've predetermined for ourselves. That's part of the wonder and splendor of living life. To put it in proper film terminology, Ms. Gump was right, "...you never know what you're going to get."
I wish I could say I liked it, but I didn't and I don't think it's meant to be an enjoyable film. It comes off as pretentious and it tries to make you think it's more complicated than it really is. The film also makes you feel uneasy, simply because there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the weirdness. It reads like an existential crisis because that's what it is, that's what we're watching. And it also makes you feel this philosophical terror you can't really put into words. However, I already forgot all about the movie, it had no lasting impact, and I won't be watching it again.
One of my favourite musicals, such a feel good movie. Love Abba anyway and know all the words to their songs!
