Silky makes Untucked incredibly annoying to watch. She is always salty about something, and when the video came out she was positively jealous. How can a person so full of horrible feelings make anyone laugh?
I loved this challenge. And I'm surprised they managed to complete it, I do not think I could! I would not know where to start were I facing a blank room like that. It was a very complicated and fun challenge, and I hope RuPaul uses this idea again in the future!
Now, I'm not sure what was up with that lip-sync, but in regards of what it came down to, I can only say "Good riddance". Ugh.
All the makeovers were great, but I did think Aquaria did not try as hard as she could have with Kingsley's outfit.
She should have lipsynced, both Kameron and Monet did better than her in this challenge.
The writing on this show is usually great, but this episode was particularly excellent. And without the questionable style choices from the previous episode, it delivered real quality! I love how they are going beyond the limitations of the "sitcom" label. Blackish is a true jewel in the ABC repertoire, and wow, does it shine!
This episode may have been the cutest thing I have seen on TV, and it completely sustains my opinion that the addition of Mayim Bialik to the main cast was the best decision TBBT producers ever made.
Mark Hamill was super funny, and it was great to see him on TV, but I laughed the most at Kripke singing at the end, John Ross Bowie is just so hilarious! He had about 20 seconds of screen time, and still he managed to be unforgettable!
Ugh, I hate Jess. I really, really hate Jess. I don't think I've ever disliked a lead's romantic interest as much as I dislike Jess.
The plot is nice, the characters are interesting, but I do not get why so much nudity. HBO would think this to be excessive...
From now on, I identify as age-queer.
When pop singers turn actors, it's often hard to see any character beyond their stage persona, but I'm so pleased by Lady Gaga's performance in the show. The Countess is definitely growing on me.
A lot of shade, a lot of drama, some very beautiful looks, and finding out Valentina is a sociopath - not an insult, just a fact.
I enjoyed seeing Hitchcock and Scully having more air time, and I specially enjoyed seeing them working with the rest of the cast separately, because the show often packs them as a single item. I understand their humor is known as being more crude, but I think it balances out with all the other different styles on the show.
Is anyone else watching on just for the sake of conclusion and cannot really wait for it to end...?
That lip sync was the best entertainment I've had in a year, and I completely disagree with Silky placing above Nina for Snatch Game. Nina] was so much better! She was funnier, better planned, and far more interesting to watch.
This was the best show I have not understood ever.
The only reason I watch this show is for Sheldon and Amy, and pure habit by now, but I am kind of glad they addressed Howard's behavior as being that of a jerk rather than just being "funny". And Raj with natural hair could totally be a Bollywood lead!
I am happy to see Beth Behrs as a guest star! She really needs a new show, I miss her terribly since 2 Broke Girls ended.
I love how they're taking Ofglen and giving her a plot explored separately from Offred's. Everything in The Handmaid's Tale is Offred's own account, and other characters barely exist when out of her sight, so this was a nice way to add further depth to the story. Will they use Nick in the same way, I wonder?
This was extremely upsetting.
I wonder if Mercedes left the show due to some new role? She is great, I hope to see her on screen again soon!
The bitches plotting to get Manila. YOU NEVER WILL!
Well, this would have been a great episode for Ru to not send anyone home. I'm forever team Latrila, but Monet didn't deserve the chop either. I hate how people are seeing Manila, though. First they judge her for considering to choose with her brain, but then they judge her for choosing with her heart.
I really do like every contestant that is there right now, though. I think these people are absolutely fabulous, and all have chances to win, the season is absolutely impredictable to me.
I didn't think any of the performances were particularly great.. I just didn't think the stories were funny. The highlights of the episode for me were:
-Manila describing her character as Farrah Moan from Jersey;
-Naomi's look in the challenge;
-Latrice's hair in the challenge (LOOOOVED IT, it suited her so much!)
-Trinity and Valentina in the workroom: it's hilarious that the loyalty does not go both ways. I love Trinity, but she should know better than thinking Valentina does anything but look out for herself, everyone knows she's a highly functioning sociopath;
-Trinity's hair on the runway;
-Elton John's video message, ahaha.
Anyway. This season is going kill us all. I know it.
Liv and Tim echoing Will & Grace's closing line from last week's episode, "Why are the hot ones always gay or nazi?", hahaha.
"You smell like books and you are wise. You really are the whole package."
I actually enjoyed most of the storylines this time, and I love that Neil Gaiman participated in this! Penny's struggle with being heard and credited took a long time coming, but I loved that they finally mentioned it. I am not sure I liked where the Amy story went, but that was it. It was an actually good episode, the better one for a while.
I actually saw this one coming. This was the most Dela thing Dela has ever done.
Aw, Chi Chi. I felt my insides freezing when I noticed her name plate, I cannot imagine what she felt when the mistake was pointed out to her.
I was so relieved they chose the same person. I was TERRIFIED there.
I hoped Ra'Jah would redeem herself, she didn't. And it is shocking how mean they all were to Scarlet. I mean, surely, she was cocky, but never harmed anyone or said anything behind their back, or stirred things up! Also sad how I think Brooke Lynn was the one to speak positively about Yvie, because it felt like no one else would?
This was the shadiest cast of all, I think. Because these were not spur of the moment feuds that resulted in loud, dramatic bursts, but they were really hurtful towards one another and carried this hurt all the way back home. I don't think these girls will be friends or get to share careers in the way other drag race girls are known to do.
As a fan of the book, I was only disappointed at how they had erased the killer's background, and consequently, the real reasons behind the murder, which were so much more complex than simply defending Celeste out of instinct. I enjoy the added touch of how the group comes to be close friends after, and that wonderful feeling of sisterhood, a great story of women coming together to fight oppression and win! This was something that did not happen in the novel, but it worked well with the TV series.
Well. Wasn't that upsetting? Sincerely, if the other lipsyncing queen had gone home, it would also have been an unfair waste. I think Eliminated queen got too cocky after being constantly showered in compliments and behaved a little arrogantly by not learning the song, but to be fair, I don't think either of them really did so badly as the one who barely escaped. Miss Lucky getting spared by her team's overall performance right after trying to throw them under the bus was ridiculous. She should have gone home after bombing AGAIN and appearing with another BASIC look.
Now, bitterness discussed, can we talk about Trinity? She's been consistently surprising me. She isn't afraid of taking risks, of taking characters, of trying anything that is put in front of her. That one is a force to be reckoned with simply due to her sheer nerve. I feel that she doesn't even blink when taking on a challenge, she just tackles it! She is really growing on me.
Edit: after watching Untucked, the Eliminated's situation turned even more bitter to me. She was extremely aware that lipsyncing was a real possibility, and yet didn't prepare herself. Which is specially bad after getting read on her challenge because she hadn't prepare herself for that either. Girl, you got some explaining to do there. Was arrogance going over your head? You're pretty alright, but since when has beauty ever been enough in this competition?! You need something to back it up.
Vanjie seems to get prettier and prettier by the day!
And I believe Alexis side of the story. She has been upfront about her votes even when it was uncomfortable. Why lie now?
I had never laughed out loud watching Untucked before Brooke Lynn and her pillow fort, ahahahah.
Some may say it's a cheap stunt and blah, but I bought EVERTYTHING AND LOVED IT.
Must specify my adoration for Farrah's outfit though. She was living the pop star fantasy to the fullest, and was great at it!
