If they have the concept of hours and minutes, why were they counting time by fingers against the sun a few episodes ago?
It's a weird experience to enjoy a show that can make you feel so uncomfortable.
Thank the stars for that double shantay. Specially because that Breastworld script was so entirely horrid that Meryl Streep herself could not have saved it, so I would not blame anyone for bombing, except the writer.
The problem with a double shantay is that a double sashay must come too...
The opening scene at the stadium was one of the best things I have ever watched in my entire life. Everything was so well done. I am very impressed with the whole episode, but that scene was quite special.
GINA! I am so happy.
I love doing long, in-depth comments, but I just don't have a lot to say about this episode. Snatch Game was just ok - Trinity and Sasha looked good just because the others were so overwhelmingly bland. I mean, they weren't even so bad it was funny, it was just awkward bad. And the runway was the same, nobody was awesome. NOT A SINGLE PERSON GOT THE RIGHT SHADE OF BLONDE FOR MADONNA. 2 people attempted Material Girl and looked like Marilyn Monroe, which means they totally missed the basic 80'sness of the video. I was mostly unimpressed and I'm not even a hardcore Madonna fan.
However... however... that lipsync was good entertainment. Congrats, queen, for slaying it!
My favorite episode of them all so far! Tammé is a great character, and the moment with her son was lovely, simple and heartwarming.
The drama made the episode move too slowly for me. I remember I used to like Gia, but now, I do not at all. I also thought she sucked at her challenge, far worse than Farrah, whom she keeps attacking. And it was ridiculous of her to try and pass a message of self-acceptance on stage when you are nothing but a bitter bully off of it.
My favorite stage performance was Naomi's; now for the runway: MANILA! No further comment necessary.
Now, is it possible to love someone's every facial expression? Because I love Latrice's every tiny little one.
Kelsey and Liza are friendship goals <3
Poirot: And please, do not fraternize with that creature. I am still training him.
Hastings: It's only a parrot.
Poirot: I was talking to the parrot.
Watson and Hastings would really have so much to commiserate about with one another...
What a mess of an episode. I loved Eureka, Aquaria and specially Monét on the Snatch Game. Aquaria's runway was beautiful, and I felt really sorry for her eyes, that were visibly irritated after.
But uhm. The characters that were bad, were seriously bad. The time for the critiques was very uncomfortable to watch, with The Vixxen and Eureka arguing like children. And to put the cherry on top, one of the contestants did not know the lyrics during the lipsync. It was a lot for just one episode.
And oh, do I miss my sweet Blair :(
Every week is someone new to fight. Vixen is too exhausting.
Also, Blair and Mayhem sitting on one corner, and then Monique and Vixen in another corner, the contrast was huge... It is hard to accept they are all equally safe.
I have said I do not like Vixen's aggressiveness before, but Aquaria is someone who is impossible to sympathize with. I think this is one of the rare RPDR fights that makes both sides look equally terrible.
I know the drama is funny, but Vixen is way too belligerent. I find it very difficult to like her, or even be amused by her picking up fights and blowing things out of proportion.
Blair is my chosen queen. I just love her Golden Age of Broadway vibe, and I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS ALREADY, OK, I WILL STILL CHEER FOR HER.
My favorite runway look was Kameron's, even if she did fall flat in the challenge. It just gave me such a Kaori Yuki vibe! Had she wings, it could have been an Angel Sanctuary costume, hahaha.
Also, did anyone think this victory was ridiculous? I could totally get past that runway, but all she did on the challenge was a funny face. I really do not think that that is very impressive. I for sure thought it would be Blair, or maybe Eureka. But never Asia or anyone in her team.
Ugh, James had been my favorite character, an excellent replacement for Bash. I hope either or both comes back. Now, Henry looks older than Charles. that's a little weird.
I wish they had cancelled this show at season 4. This is... so bad.
Uhm, what are the writers thinking? This is such a good show! Why such nonsense now?
So, after all of that, this is it? How underwhelming.
RuPaul! With a spiritual presence of Laganja and Alaska, ahaha. Love it!
I was not super pleased with the way they tied up the Timothy and Emily story...
Diana is my spirit animal.
The episodes are very long, and I am finding it hard to keep going through it. I do not understand why Clay decides that what Tyler did deserves revenge when he let the others be - did he just assume the natural bullying posture of targeting the weakest member, the one that is easier to fight? By hearing Hannah's tapes, did he not understand what that sort of humiliation can do to people? It is very frustrating to have an emotion-driven protagonist with no real moral compass.
I love how they used Charlize's character from Monster to describe Rita pre-surgery, hahaha.
So. Miss Week's Eliminated was very very aware of how big a risk she was in to lipsync. And yet she lounged around and made a point not to learn the song when everyone else, even the ones who got big praises, did. Girl, you better explain yourself. Yout let a lot of fans down because of this little arrogant act there.
Is there ever an on-screen Nathan Fillion moment when he isn't great?
Hye Ji is getting on my nerves. She isn't intentionally evil, or even evil at all. But her interests clash with what I want to happen, and that makes me dislike her. Eun Ha Won is the rare main character that I actually like, and I just hate it that she has such a nice girl for a rival.
That elimination was absolutely wrong. She had grown so much during the show! :( She wasn't even my favorite, but come on, few queens have exceeded themselves in their difficulties as she did in this season.
WELL, I AM JUST PISSED.
I just love Kelsey SO MUCH!
Yes, yes, Yvie's trick was creative and fun, but I really gagged at Brooke Lynn's catsuit. Talk about glam!
Also, A'Keria was amazing. I thought she was better than Yvie, even if she did not have the weirdo factor going for her. But Brooke Lynn was a little disappointing in her lipsync, she always does the same things over and over. Yvie really did try to bring something new into it, it was very enchanting to watch. Yvie deserved the crown, overall, simply for pushing things forward.
Now... Silky was sort of a mess in all her looks, wasn't she?
Now, I thought the structure of the show was not as entertaining as I wished it was. I enjoyed the lipsyncs, and the call to pride, but everything else was kind of... meh?
