there's so much to talk about this episode. it's perfect in its entirety but that ending! flint you brilliant motherfucker
i loved to binge watch this show. the comedy and relationship between these girls is definitely the best part about it, but i think the show suffers a bit from having only 10 episodes per season. things happen too fast and maybe 12 or 13 eps per season would make the constant turns of events more plausible
started this show certain that it was gonna be mid and i ended up loving it
flint's luck is impressive, those men hate his ass and still he keeps getting away with his bs. i love him tho
i knew this was gonna happen, i knew about it even before i started the show. i could see the character's journey leading to this path. the good old trope of having a chance to do better in life, to be saved by others, to love and be loved, to finally experience joy, and then it's the end. but i don't know if i'm a big fan of the execution of it. a lot of things in this season feels off and rushed and messy, and i think the sudden cancellation of the series is to blame. still there some great moments in the season and excellent episodes like 6,741 and the previous one. i just wish they did this in a better, maybe more sensible way.
anyways, i loved every second of root in this show and she's a spectacular character. truly an all time favorite to me. and thank you, amy acker.
the facial recognition bug in the beginning was hilarious!
i found it really confusing in some parts but the main characters carried the movie with ease. the connection they shared in such a short period of time, linked by both passion and the struggle of womanhood, the resistance of jin xia until fully giving in to the other woman's advances, the vulnerability, the tenderness they had with each other... just wow. i loved it, even though almost everything outside the two of them wasn't very well made. the visuals are great too, i loved what they did with the lighting
wow. what the hell. what did i just watch? i don't know what to say
excellent episode! i feel like it's a turning point in the series somehow
one of the most confusing group of "revolutionaries" i've seen in fiction lmao. collier's flashbacks were great tho
this ep was so different and cool. the second half was excellent
this is one those thought provoking episodes where you catch yourself siding with some characters and judging others, or you just can't pick a side... to me, while i totally understand finch's reaction and why he would do that (and his ideas match the overall message of the show) if i were in their position i would've sided with reese and shaw. and the very end of the episode kinda proved me right, i guess?... idk. let's see what happens.
looooveeeddd this one. i love root sm and i can tell amy acker was having so much fun with this character. she was never flat but to me this episode showed how solid and multifaceted root is as a character. the flirting with shaw and them annoying each other continues, and i'm obsessed.
i wasn't expecting this at all, i liked the way it explained a couple of things that were bugging me. i had a feeling the laptop going to china wasn't finch's doing. i smiled when best girl root showed up at the end, and again i wish they had done more with kara stanton instead of killing her off
this show keeps getting better, i hope amazon doesn't cancel it...
one of the best episodes so far, dare i say THE best. looooved the little flashbacks to shaw's past and how it tied to her connection to gen (their final scene together was the cutest thing) and went feral over all her badass scenes and the amount of times i got to see her biceps and the way her hair covers her face....... anyways!
carter's subplot was cool too and that last scene where she reveals she knew everything and completely owns that mf was beautiful to watch
wow, what a character. i was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time. i want to know all about her. and yes miss root i know you're obsessed with her already, you can't fool me!
ngl the first two sections weren't it for me (i enjoyed laura dern's part a little) but the third act is what really makes it worth a watch. i'm officially obsessed with lily gladstone, i saw myself in her character so much and it made that last scene with kristen way more difficult to watch... how do you see this lonely lesbian girl who looks so cute with those flannels and jeans and that adorable beanie and not fall in love with her???? don't worry rancher girl i can be your gf :/
and the plot thickens! sad to see reese is still disrespecting fusco... i hope he comes to his senses soon bc it's irritating me
great callback to the first episode where they showed reese watching a ronin movie
need more episodes focused on carter, this was good
watched it for the first time when it aired, except for s4, but i was too young and unexperienced with tv dramas to understand it back then. decided to try again and thank god i did bc i loved every second of it. thank you, sam esmail, mr robot altered my brain chemistry forever
elliot placing his hand on top of darlene's to show gratitude was so cute
domlene rising and falling in the same breath lmao
domlene interactions were top tier since the beginning huh? this show knows how to build tension, the entire scene between tyrell, elliot and mr robot is so good. it's sad that the first time i watched this i couldn't understand half of it
one of the best episodes of s2 and it doesn't have elliot
"the only time i've ever been real happy was when i was with you"
"i came all this way to be with you. so don't be afraid of this world where we can meet"
"wait for me, utena"
"and someday, together..."
"someday, together... ?"
a perfect conclusion to the greatest love story i've ever seen. it's sad that it took me so long to finally give this show a chance, but i'm sure it wouldn't have been the same great experience if i have done it sooner. maybe i would misinterpret and misjudge lots of things... anyways this is already one of my top favorite shows ever and utena and anthy are definitely on my fictional characters hall of fame. and i felt so grateful to meet them at last ;)
george miller once again showing how pathetic and ridiculous masculinity can be lol. this is no fury road but still very good
i think this is my favorite limited series
i think this is my favorite limited series
