Like a football game, Blue Bayou moves ahead in starts and spurts despite some missteps. It eventually scores some points but fumbles the ending. The acting was on point, though, even the young Sydney Kowalske.
Spoiler or not, I don't effin' care; we got LITT UP!!
The director and the producer should be arrested. In order to shoot the film, they destroyed part of the monument that is Unesco's patrimony.
They broke ancient stones, cut trees without permission to make fires with twenty meters ...
It was a total disrespect, destroy world heritage just for the purpose of making money ....
I recommend everyone, do a search on Google or translate Portuguese news on the subject.
This was sooo bad I can't believe I watched it to the end. Skip it - you won't regret the time you've now saved to wash the car.
Am I the only one who thinks it was Teresa's brother?
Ridiculous plotting, laughable dialogue, schol play acting. A real dud.
Great movie, somewhat similar to the first season of True Detective.
Holy shit that was a waste of time. And i even skipped a bit
The real highlight is the cinematography. The story itself, while not uninteresting, is kind of a typical romance-that-should-not-be wrapped around events that are to be described as histrocial fiction.
Worth watching but nothing extraordinary.
Beautiful movie. Also, great performances by the actors, overall.
Heartbreaking true story.
I wasn't aware of anything about this film, I didn't even knew that this was about a true story and what a tragic story!
Michael B. Jordan gives a great and heartfelt performance as Oscar Grant, a twenty two year old who was murdered in Fruitvale Station on his way home after New Years Eve celebrations. Oscar was a troubled young man that was trying to put his life together, he was a devoted father who loved his girlfriend and family. He wasn't counting on the fact that his night was going to end up the way it did. Devastating.
Interesting that without knowing, I see this film on the day that makes five years that this young man passed away.
R.I.P. Oscar Grant
Rest in Peace Oscar Grant
I am extremely surprised by this film, I expected Fury or Bastards. I really liked this. I find the description blurp "a rock star general bent on ..." to be an incredibly poor description.
Pitt is a caricature of a modern Patton, there are a number of troupe characters that surround him, he has a marriage, he has his legacy, his "impossible" mission, it's a train wreck with Obama, cable news, leaks, "nation building" and such. Pretty good armchair primer on the issues for a lot of people and a good watch.
I see more of an easy to swallow Catch 22 meets Strange Love meets modernized Patton.
At times I wished it would cut loose on political commentary, but it does a good job.
So I just got back home from watching it and I have to admit that it was a total waste of time and money.
As soon as the baby was introduced and it was said that Dom needs to pick his name, I immediately told my friend that his name will be Brian, and it was.
The chase scene on the ice was so stupid that it ruined the entire movie for me. They are being chased and suddenly, out of nowhere, Hobbs's car rams a chaser's car head on from the side.
At the same scene Charlize Theron character says that the submarine is moving too slow and it won't make it before the cars, a second later the submarine goes up and somehow catches up with the cars and keeps up with them.
At the end Dom blew up a nuclear submarine, a stupid thing on it's own but then a massive fire wave from the exposition is blocked by 4 cars leaving Dom not even slightly scorched.
Yes, the movie has funny moments but comedy genre movies have more funny moment.
I have never rated a movie so low but the holes are just too stupid.
Solid film with an excellent cast
The episodes individually were actually fantastic, but the season as a whole just didn't feel right.
Loved it. Beautiful shots of the American prairie and its animals. The story is slow at times, but there are so many great scenes that it's worth it. The story is done many times (pocahontas and avatar come to mind), but this is an excellent effort, where I genuinely hated the army guys and got really intrigued by the Indian way of life. Of course there should've been more nuances (not every Indian should be a good guy, not every American should be violence-obsessed), and the movie should've been shorter, but overall it's a great movie, with many many great shots!
Rarely is a documentary so delightfully unpredictable and just straight up bizarre.
Boy what a creepy movie. Don't wanna spoil anything but there is more to this movie than just a tickle ring. This was laugh out loud sometimes but awkward laughs. First time at the Sundance Cinemas, what a great theater. Nice cool AC, ample armrests and cup holders, fancy snackbar and only 21+!! Loved it. Great pick of indie films too.
wtf is with this movie? long useless shots, didn't undrestand a f****** bit what's the point of the movie
Great movie, deeply enjoyed by me, strongly recommend it. But even though it's an awesome fucking movie, it's nowhere as good as any of Waititi's other movies.
A Hologram for the King is about the businessman Alan Clay, who leaves for Saudi Arabia to pitch a new idea with his team, in order to earn enough money to pay for his daughter’s college. On his journey in Saudi Arabia Alan meets a lot of interesting people and get tested on his patience multiple times.
So, do you ever watch a movie and you keep trying to find your opinion about it but you just don’t know? Well, that’s what I’m feeling right now. The acting in the movie was pretty good and some parts were rather funny. I just don’t know how to feel about the storyline I guess. It’s a bummer really because otherwise this would have been a pretty great movie!
It was interesting to see the difference between the Arabian and American culture. There is obviously quite a big difference. So it was fun to see how they handled it.
I really enjoyed Alexander Black his character Yousef.
:-)
Wild ride from start to finish. In the beginning I thought the acting was questionable but either it got better or you just kinda figured that that's the way the characters where. It was fucking amazing, tbh.
Absolutely disappointing rehash of the first trilogy. Disney had a real opportunity to do something new and exciting with this ipr but resorted to rushed writing with an extremely compressed story that makes no sense and fails to make anyone care for the characters or events. Emo Kylo is an outstanding metaphor for the whole deal.
It was a very brutal film. But I must say, it was one of the best twist endings.
That Billy Mitchell guy is a real sore looser.
Billy Mitchell is the type of guy, that thinks he is a God for something stupid like having a good score at a videogame. Love Steve Wiebe, the one that comes from humility and deserves to win. It happens in all the games.
Billy Mitchell is a grade-A d-bag, but I found Brian Kuh to be even worse.
Billy Mitchell at least got the world record legitimately back in the day, and Kuh could never measure up to him or to Steve Wiebe, so he had to settle for being Mitchell's sycophantic bitch.
