Normally when comenting on shows or movies like this you need to preface it with
"given that this is a horror flick, ..." For this episode, that qualification is
unnecessary. It stands completely on its own. This isn't just a good hour of
scary entertainment, it's one of the best hours of television I've watched this
year.
The episode doesn't just completely recontextualise a story arch we've seen
before and changes the view we have on a character, but paints a really deep and
complex picture of a man dealing with grief and addiction. The horror elements
serve a greater purpose than just spooking the audience. They are a fundamental
part of our character's journey and affort us with a way to understand his inner
daemons in a very real way.
All of this coupled with the brilliant smooth and deliberate camera work that
keeps you at the edge of seat throughout makes this one of the most affecting
episodes of television I've seen this year.
Genuinely funny, with some great movie references hidden within, and a script that is sharper than the usual generic animated fare. More like this please Netflix.
A backup, a hug, a fight and a kiss
El is the cutest BADASS character ever
This episode was amazing and beautiful, if there's more than 10 stars I would give it more
First let's talk about Steve, he's amazing, he's brave and kind.. Did you see how he was genuinely care about these kids and puts himself in danger just to protect them.. I gotta say he became one of my favorite characters in the show
Also lets talk about the kid who plays Will, gosh!! That kid is sooo talented, I was genuinely feeling his pain, he's so amazing and I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him
The 3 ways attack bit was also amazing, seeing all the characters attack at the same time from different places was gold writing from the show runners.. I liked how the kids took Steve with them while he was unconscious LMAO, and he was like f*** it lets go burn that sh*t.. I still thing that Nancy doesn't deserve Steve, he's too good for her
Anyway, I didn't like that bit with Dustin and his pet, it felt stupid, I mean they're monsters after all so I don't see how that monster can form such feelings for human, anyway he died at the end we saw him next to the chocolate bar
About El, her scene closing that gate was simply EPIC, I loved how she towards the end used both her hands to push the monster back, and by doing that she actually became more powerful, so now we know El with 2 raised hands are unstoppable
Last thing is the Snow Ball party, it was sad and hilarious seeing Dustin get rejected one by one LMAO, but then Nancy saved his a**, then we saw Mike sitting alone and I had a feeling that El gonna show up, and she did!! She was beautiful and cute.. I'm glad that she's finally with Mike and she feels happy
It was a great season but now we have to wait a long time from season 3 :(((
It's the third time I've seen this episode and I still don't think I have ever seen a more disturbing death scene in my entire life
"Waiting for an old friend".
Damn you Three-Eyed Raven!
Probably never seen that many proposals, marriages and pregnancies in one film, but I loved it!
If only he would have just killed him instead of trying to get him to confess. That's another character I liked that is now dead in this series.
I dunno what they've put in the writer's waters these last few episodes...but long may it continue!
I've never been so happy of someone's death.
Modern Family does what's best in comedy: subtle awkward situations that make you laugh uncontrollably, even though if someone sees the same scene as you, they will never get why and how it's funny. You can't judge Modern Family based on some episodes seen sporadically, no, you'll have to go from the start and watch all of it, for the comedy to become apparent to you.
People have to realize what they're about to watch before they go into it. The actors are playing exaggerated versions of themselves. It's not meant to be Academy Award winning gold. It's supposed to be ridiculous fun. And it is. I mean, there's a giant ceramic penis. What do you expect? I laughed so much. You just can't take a movie like this seriously. It's purely for stupid laughs.
45 minutes of pure psychological terror, probably the best episode of the whole show. I'm definitely hooked again.
Negan > The Governor
It's a bit creepy that Violet looks so similat to Emily Browning from the movie with Jim Carrey.
another episode, another idiotic death, why can't the creators of this show give us more "believable" deaths? aikido master with a stick decides to defend his friend by shoving his back into a walker's mouth... why? just why?
a episode isnt bad because a character died, fu*k people who is downvoting here and IMBD because of Lexa's death, it was vital to move the plot foward, there was no other way and Lincoln died, yes, but we dont know the repercusions is going to have
also characthers die all the time in shows like this, get over it its FICTION, chill and enjoy the plot please.
edit: WTF with people harassing writers and producers of the show? the fanbase is disgusting
Pictures hang about on Google like a gypsy fucking curse. There's no cure for the Internet. It would never go away. It'd be glued to your name, a fucking stain on you. I'd hang myself if that was me.
Why do film studios have to spell stuff out for us , we are not idiots. The fact that we knew Adaline never aged from the start was a bad move. The studio should have kept us guessing...make the audience work. Why was Adaline on the Run?, Why did she have to keep changing identities?. The big reveal should have been when Adaline met Ellis' father. A great film but could have been so much better. As soon as this movie hits blu ray. I am going to make my own edit.
Why are you rating movies that haven't even been made yet?
Seeing Jon and Sansa reuniting was so satisfying ^_^ Sansa has matured a lot. Brienne actually made it in time for once xD
Loved the ending. Danny with her usual coming out of the fire naked, looking badass xD
Why can't the gays have sex without getting killed
My name ia Hunter Zolomon and I am the highest Man Alive. When I was a child I saw my father shooting my mother. My father went to prison for her murder. Then I went to an orphanage because nobody wanted me. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside World I am an ordinary hero whose name is Jay Garrick, but in secret I kill time remnants to mentally confuse Others and find speedsters like me. One day, I'll find Barry Allen and I'll race him. I am Zoom
Trakt doesn't allow emojis in comments, but If it were, my comment would be somerhing like: The soundtrack in this show is fire emoji fire emoji fire emoji.
I wanted to binge watch this season as I do with all Netflix shows but these episodes just feel to real and I time in between to digest them.
Finally the most satisfying death so far in this series.
Best Snyder movie so far. Sadly it is deeply misunderstood. Movie is way more deeper and complex than it looks like on first glance.
People don't realize Sweet Pea is the protagonist, Babydoll is a figment of Sweet Pea’s imagination. Babydoll does not exist. Babydoll's story is Sweet Pea’s story. Sweet Pea was sexually abused, killed her sister and is in psychiatric hospital in therapy. Babydoll is Sweet Pea's avatar. Way of dealing with grief, with guilt, and way to manage her current situation and overcome it. Babydoll is also Sweet Pea's guardian angel.
Sweet Pea is the only fully rounded character, other girls represent aspects of her psyche. Babydoll represents strength and courage, Amber loyalty, Blondie fear, and Rocket represents guilt. In the third level reality her psyche fights for the things to get her free from her current state. Second guardian angel (the Wise Man) guides her through. To fully recover she needs to get over her guilt (Rocket dies as a symbol), also other girls represent things which she needs to leave behind to fully recover .
Babydoll is one of those things. She is the fifth thing (“The fifth is a mystery. It is the reason. It is the goal. It will be a deep sacrifice and a perfect victory.”). Lobotomy of Babydoll represents Sweet Pea’s mind of taking control. Sweet Pea needs to sacrifice Babydoll to be “cured”. Escape at the end is a symbol of that process of being cured. That’s why the driver is the Wise Man, he guides her further.
Sucker Punch is Sweet Pea’s journey from “madness” to “sanity”. Movie is philosophical / psychological investigation wrapped in a special effects action-fantasy. As the movie changes realities (mostly in the third reality), Snyder uses more fetishized image of the girls. He uses clichés and cluttered iconography (nazi zombies, sexy schoolgirls). It is a way to detached and disconnected characters from second reality. Second reality, the brothel, is the “main” reality. In which everything happens.
I wanted to love this so much, but it just felt... Empty. The characters didn't connect at all and the Fantastic Beasts themselves felt like an afterthought to the franchise they're actually trying to build.
Overall a watchable movie with some charming moments but damaged by a muddy story and atrocious pacing. I expected more from the HP universe.
What the hell are you guys talking about? The show is great fun. It's not taking itself too seriously and it's poking fun at all the horror movie cliches. Good job Ryan Murphy. You've done it again!
THINGS THAT MADE THIS EPISODE F*CKIN AMAZING:
- Getting to see the dragons in action was truly beautiful;
- Dany and Yara interaction was GOLD;
- The battle was very very very good. Tense and visually stunning. I couldn't breathe throughout it;
- Ramsey FINALLY being killed and ultimately by Sansa;
- >>>Sansa's character development!!!!<<<<
- Rickon dying as well was awful, but I can't say it was a wasted death nor a bad executed scene.
S06 was worth it mainly because of this entire episode. Still can't believe how good it was. I hope the finale is even better.
In a show with so many characters, one of the most emotional deaths was the guy with one word of dialogue. That's why Game of Thrones is so great.
