I know the first thing you see is the bad rating. But i ask you to trust me when i say this is a good movie - actually a great movie. And the actors are amazing, like Rajit Kappor made me want to become violent because of how annoying they were, and i don't care what you say, being able to make people want to kill your character is a skill. I'm gonna be honest the minute i heard the whitewashed Hindi (being compared to the normal Hindi) i knew this would have a lot of detail, and it did.
I think the only real problem is that they focused on the coming out a lot, but barely explained the backstory like the kiss behind a wall (with a little peek window) was not enough, i needed to know more about Pallevi's younger days
That was so good!
I love how it touched upon the various controversial aspects of the original's story in a tropey yet entertaining way! There were several new characters, all with their own backstories and unique screen personalities, and I truly enjoyed watching their journeys in this fan-made sequel to Zootopia. The main case around which this sequel revolved around was a piece of art! Although the animation was not in a film-like style, it really hit the spot with expressions and everything visual! The music was amazing and the voice acting? It was spot-on.
I don't remember the last time I watched a fanfiction that was this good. A must-watch.
A delightful, ambitious and fun Disney animated film. Definitely their best politically correct movie. That has a smart story about racism while being entertaining without making you roll your eyes.
I was one of the lucky few to attend an early screening, and I must say, this is one of the best Disney movies EVER! The quality of the animation is beyond compare. The story is balanced with deep moments and really great comedic bits, and I couldn't stop myself laughing at each joke and meta-joke the movie threw at me. The cast is great, it's uncanny how much life they are able to give to these anthropomorphic animals. I'm definitely going to see it again when it premieres in a few weeks!
One of the best movies that Disney has made. The visuals and animation is incomparable to any studio (except Disney itself with Pixar) and the story is so well balanced, with (meta-)comedy and drama/suspense mixed so well together. The voice actors really makes you believe in a world where animals can be anthropomorphic and live in a society. A must-watch for children but also anyone who appreciate the beauty of animated storytelling.
This movie was an interesting take on mental illnesses and their awareness. Since I have only watched the movie, I only know about the story from it. The ending was not something I would have expected, that is the fact that that the worms and humans could actually coexist and the doctor probably had some sort of scheme going on. Although sweet-sounding like a happy ending, I have my doubts about it. I don't know, but I liked the movie anyway.
Overall, it was a good watch. It started off promising with amazing acting, cinematography and an interesting plot. But ended up as an average sci-fi romance with nothing more than a mediocre ending instead. The first half had me quite invested, which is also probably why it was hard to stomach its simple ending. Honestly, I had expected a bomb ending which, happy or not, satisfied the logic and quality that the film had adhered to so far.
7 is a pretty good score either way
I love this movie! Calling this a cartoon makes me feel ashamed, so I ended up adding it to two lists. Everything about it was perfect. The music, the animation, the animated emotions, the fluid movements, the setting and storyline, and EVERYTHING in between! I loved Anya and Dimitri's duo dynamic, both before and after; not to mention Vlad and Pooka's chemistry was the best cute relief!
The score-reducers were the smaller details, like how Dimitry accepted his love for Anya only after her "transformation" into a princess and subsequently, how his behaviour towards her also made a 180-degree spin. But given the time during which this movie is set and given all other specifics, I can understand how his behaviour was not really offensive, but rather quite understandable. So that brings me back to where I started: this movie is perfection!
Must watch for all age groups!
This movie rendered me silent...speechless. To think that people actually did this, still do this. To think that kids actually went through this, still go through this. Humans are so freaking disgusting and disappointing, and this movie portrayed that so. damn. well. The leads were terrific, especially the child actors, and the movie portrayed everything so well- albeit heartrendingly so. WATCH!
I completely agree. After watching this, i have to redefine my Korean top three. But i'm not sure i can ever watch it again. Literaly had to pause it every few minutes to catch my breath.
Hint: Look it up on Wikipedia and read about the aftermath of the movie release. At least some justice was done. Cinema is best when it gets the truth out there and set things in motion for the better.
I absolutely loved this masterpiece (judging from the score), until the internet decided to traumatise me and I realised some possibly shady stuff going on behind the screens...
6 is a pretty good score for this movie.
Based on what I gathered from this review (https://stuckonhyuk.wordpress.com/2014/05/06/thorninnocent-thing-stream-of-consciousness-review/), every aspect of the script is genius and almost pleasant. But it turns out the movie itself is nowhere near that praise due to deleted story from the script and the removal of scenes where Joon-ki actually showed his genuine emotions. The acting that would have initially impressed viewers with the small details, ended up making little to no sense with respect to the remaining storyline.
I think it was the direction that ruined the film which otherwise could have been a perfect psychological romance thriller in my opinion.
It's a family-friendly and heart-warming story which I thoroughly enjoyed every second of. I especially loved the chemistry between Nagarjuna and Shriya, and the second couple (Chaitanya and Samantha) gave a delightful performance. There were times I found myself looking away from the clichés used, but I still enjoyed them as a part of the movie. This is one of those movies I'd wholeheartedly rate on the basis of only enjoyment.
Overall the one thing I loved the most was the romance dynamics and the music, which complimented all scenes just right.
Grotesque and scandalous, this had me at the edge of my seat for all the wrong reasons. Although in some parts the acting piqued my interest, I would not particularly recommend this movie to anyone.
For the rest, I'll let my rating do the talking..
I don't think I'm the only one who couldn't stop smiling and crying at the same time.
Could this reunion be any shorter ???????
HIGHLY enjoyable and the standard by which all future TV show reunions should be measured. A great mix of now/then, reminiscing, reappearances and behind-the-scenes video and stories. I originally wanted to see a scripted reunion, but I found this to be far more satisfying. Well done!
FRIENDS is one of those series that you can watch over and over again and you will keep laughing like the first time. There are so many memories, so many emotions experienced by this group of people who are more than friends, they have become a great family. Thanks for this reunion! It was what we needed, the old and new fans of the series. Enjoy it. It's amazing.
Keira Knightley's a complete delight onscreen, and the soundtrack, cinematography and screenplay work like a charm. A spectacular experience.
talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before.
This is not a movie it's a musical masterpiece. CryBaby was a story well written with songs with story telling. Never did I thought that Melanie would live up to her expectations but this is so much better than CryBaby. Really shows her passion and her power of writing both a story and music. Such an inspiration!
This movie is very emotional. Bring a box of Kleenex with you. I have never seen another movie that I could hear the audience cry so many times. Also the movie shines a light on a disease that many people have no idea what it means (including me). If you have seen the trailers you already know that this is a movie about young/first love. I don't want to spoil it with other details.
They break up, they reunite, they break up again, they reunite...ad infinitum. This fails to improve on what has come before and is just as bad and predictable as those movies. The actors are good but the dialogue they are given is trashy and unrealistic. Thankfully, there is only book left in the series to adapt... I hope that brings an end to this sorry saga.
There are few things I regret as much as I do watching this movie.
Minnal Murali is a testimony that India can produce a true-to-life superhero origin story without unnecessarily saving the world complex. It takes particular gall to attempt a superhero movie within the budgetary confines of Malayalam cinema, especially with the advent of the New Wave of Mollywood, rooted in realistic, down-to-earth storylines. Basil Joseph truly dictates a fine origin story with an accurate balance of humor, drama, emotions, and depth in the story. The screenplay is engaging and fun and keeps you interested to see more of this new superhero. Tovino has killed it as Jaison, probably the film which makes him a national star. The film has a high amount of relatability, where you connect with both the leads the bad and the good. The film is easily the best superhero story from India. This one is already on the top 10 films on Netflix in many countries and it's not a fluke. This one genuinely deserves applause.

The Creators did a pretty good job with developing the Main Character & the Villain and making us feel for both of them. Also, pretty good stuff with balancing the drama & the comedy. There are enough action sequences to get you excited & cheer and it's quite strong. With the budget that they had, they did brilliant with being creative with what they can do in terms of showing you the powers & strength of the Hero & the Villain in this story and the development of those strengths.
The Story was quite strong too. No pretentious alien invasions or biggest explosions or anything. The story felt more real. Like how would a commoner from a small town/village would behave when they get superpowers.
Actors did fantastic job. Be it the lead or the supporting characters.
The whole movie is just beautiful to watch.
Hats of the whole team behind this Movie.
UPDATE: I saw a movie so beautiful I started crying™
Stop rating movies before you even know they are in production!!!
Flawed, Twisty, Tightly Executed
Ek Villain Returns at best is an average thriller that relies heavily on the original's fanbase and nostalgia. This one has the infamous Mohit Suri treatment, soulful music, some well-placed twists, and some lazy ones as well. The Galliyan rendition and Dil song will tug into your heartstrings. The film's biggest highlight is the screenplay, it's fast-paced and keeps moving ahead. Some choppy VFX at places buts that can be excused. However, Mohit Suri's only fault in the film is what I believe is the casting, he goes wrong with an all-time poker-faced Arjun and hops in Disha and Tara only for their fan base. John is the only one who fits into his role well. Overall, Ek Villain Returns isn't miserable like Bollywood's recent releases, beautiful music, john's intimidating presence, and some good twists make this a good one-timer.

It's like a fanfic written by an 8th grader in 2013. It's so predictable, so unoriginal, so bland. The story is so basic, even the drama and (supposed) plot twist is basic. Filled with awkward and dragged moments. I'm sorry but good looks and a pleasant aesthetic and songs aren't enough to make a good movie.
