was somewhat disappointed. Production was lacking in many episodes. Felt like a CW show. Dion comes across as annoying.
###Am I missing something huge?
It feels like there should be a point or something, but all I see are plain stories with some poor attempt to make deep meanings.
I'm on episode 7 of the first season, and if this is it, I'm done with this series.
I do enjoy the acting very much as it's really good and the score is very unique and interesting. However, it's far from enough to get me through any more episodes.
I think this is the most boring series I've ever watched. Due to it's popularity, I'm convinced I'm missing the point. It's progressing painfully slow, and barely anything happened the first three episodes.
Will it get better? Am I missing the point? Anyone?
I didn't rate this because I only watched the first 7 episodes
I'll score whatever I watched though.
###Acting: 9/10
Yes. The acting is great. I stayed a bit for the acting. I left due to everything else.
Main storyline quality: 1/10
Originality: ?/10
Side storylines quality: 1/10
Progression of main story line: 1/10
Story development: 1/10
Characters: 1/10
Intensity (cliffhangers, edge of seat and the like): -9/10 (yes. negative 9)
I wish this season would show us more what other people do on Purge night. I mean all crimes are legal, people are probably doing all sorts of crimes other than killing people. i hope we get to see people steal arts from museums, rob banks and other stuff. That would be interesting.
Totally not worth your time or money.
Operated and so far fetched,as if shit like this would happen in London,do the makers not know how rare gun violence is on the streets of the UK,there's no gangs running about with as many automatic rifles and grenades as this show, maybe in Columbia and mexico, this is EastEnders trying to be narcos!
It was a fun movie, with some great monsters, and a cast to fall in love with. It could have been longer - the more time spent in this world the better - but despite this slight quibble, you're sure to have a good time with this. After all, any film that has a giant crab in it has to be worth a watch, right?
Good riddance! I know I won't miss you.
This is getting ridiculous lmao.
The reason Big bang isn't interesting anymore is because none of the writers want the characters to grow. Sheldon who once used to come in the ranks of House, Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark is now lowered down to a blabbering buffoon. In fact every character had become a stereotype of themselves. Howard and Bernadette are dealing with parenting and most of the so called "jokes" come from her bossing him. Raj spends half the season failing in his attempts to get a girl and the rest is about his bromance with Howard. God knows why Amy is still with Sheldon when she spends 90% of the time bickering and complaining about him. And 90% of the time the episode ends with him saying something sweet to her and she forgives him. (If that is not calling a character shallow then what is?). Penny and Leonard's stories have exhausted. Penny is only left with jokes which include her making fun of geeky terms.
The characters descriptions sound so single-dimensional because they are single-dimensional. No idea what part do people find funny. Clearly they are watching a different show than me.
Actually fell asleep in the theater. An altogether boring plot and I felt Sandra Bullock did a particularly poor job acting. The movie might have had more success if it wasn't attached to the Ocean's franchise.
The episodes are very short. I feel this kind of show should have longer episodes.
Anyway, Claire set rules so she minimizes the risk of getting caught however she is willing to break them whenever she feels like it and especially if she feels any hesitation on Eric's part. She wants him at her disposal, manipulating him as she sees fit. Eric thinks he is "the man" for sleeping with her, unaware of how wrong this is on her part. I am assuming things should start spiraling down soon enough.
Not 2 minutes in and we have Barry feeling sorry for himself, in fact plenty of people are feeling sorry for everything and something. The rest is our "heroes" bickering and fighting. This continues pretty much the rest of the episode.
Hilarious moment was the evil villain, who ofcourse is gay all of a suddon, telling the team they can suck it only to have him sulk in some corridor of Starlabs a few scenes later.... HEY, let me just sulk here in the corner like a teenager cause I'm that much of a villain... Goddamn these shows.
Four more episodes of this to complete this shite season and then, hopefully, I can put this once great series to rest.
What did I just watch this show is a absolute cringe fest waist of time
It's the middle of June.
Two things I did not liked about this episode:
1) All this "reality type show" stuff that's going on. Can we finally move on already? It's the most annoying arc. Also the way this episode was shoot with all these interviews was really annoying.
2) Are they planning to replace Bailey with a Swiss Army Knife? Does she really do everything and is present everywhere and knows everyone?
About damn time there was some real justice on this show! Right on, Maggie.
What a mess. I really wanted to like this anime but after watching all 13 episodes I still don't understand what was going on in the story. If you want some good fight scenes you can give it a try (the animation quality is good, as expected of studio MAPPA), but overall I unfortunately can't recommend this anime.
Using suicide threats as a way to manipulate your friends, neat.
Sarcasm aside though it's probably the best episode of the season, especially with that cliffhanger. This episode really shows the dynamic and the similarities between Peach and Joe. Him criticising Peach for essentially the same things that he does.
Joes savior complex is just getting worse and worse.
i don't give the CW much credit, but this was actually a damn good episode and Eclipso looks great, comic book accurate for once. can somebody please tell me why Beth is a member of the team, she is literally useless and adds nothing, she is a liability
The intro song is weak, but other than that awesome episode looking forward to the rest.
lol, superman has to have the lamest disguise in the history of disguises. :joy:
First episode was good. I did have an issue with a couple scenes having bad CGI, but nothing major (I still like to call it out when I see it). Although I enjoyed the history lesson on the characters, It should've been a 2 hour premiere instead an hour, you know, just to give people some more action scenes.
I can't comment on the entire season because it hasn't aired yet, but when I do, I'll update this post.
The show is so boring it’s like watching paint drying

Season 1 Review:
Beef is such a welcome surprise. I didn't expect too much out of this and was wondering how they could stretch out a show about road rage to 10 episodes, but the road rage incident happens immediately and the show is really about what ensues after that, and I thought it was so effective from start to finish. A HUGE part of that success is due to the actors, who were so, so great. I've been a massive Steven Yeun fan since his days on The Walking Dead, and this show reminded me of just how talented of an actor he is. Ali Wong also does a fantastic job, and with the show centered on these two, they both effectively carry the load and help the show excel. Beyond the performances, the writing is sharp, clever, and very smart. Things are set up well including certain events and character beats, and therefore the story feels very tight. But what really impressed me was how effectively the show built the conflict and obsession between Danny and Amy over the course of the season. The road rage incident is just the beginning, and everything that happens after is like a wild back and forth that gets more and more serious and dangerous as the show progresses. Yet, it's not a completely linear or straightforward descent into madness, as both characters show signs of being better people here and there, but inevitably something always draws them back in. In some ways it makes the characters quite unlikable, but I found it so entertaining more than anything. The themes are also quite relatable in the sense that no matter how different we are as people, we all have stress and anger that builds up over time if we don't let it out, and sometimes all it takes is one inciting incident for us to explode. The show exaggerates this beyond what would likely happen in the real world, but I love when shows or movies use something so relatable and exaggerate it, and Beef is such a strong example of how to do that right. This show also handles massive tonal shifts as good as anything else out there. We start off in comedy mode, then as things get more serious the comedy gets darker and darker, and then as things progress even further we get into full-on intense drama. The show pulls off all of its tones very well. Dark comedy is some of the best comedy when it's done right, and while there were some pretty dark things here that feel a bit too serious for comedy (at least for me), overall the dark comedy was very effective. Then when things get more serious I found myself on the edge of my seat due to the intensity. And because they take their time to evolve the show as it goes along and place little elements comedy and drama throughout as both primary and secondary tones, there isn't much tonal whiplash when the tension ratchets up and the transitions are mostly seamless. The final episode did feel like a bold move and provided the most whiplash for me, but I loved it on a character level. The more I think about this show the more I love it.
8.8/10 -- Great
Did not like it.
I guess it will go well with star stricken audience that watches movies just because a movie star that they like is in it.
For me it is a bad movie.
Bad characters (after watching the movie ask yourself what did you actually learn about lead characters.
Not two rows worth of character development and also almost no interaction between them).
Bad heist plot (multiple plot holes and inconsistencies:
SPOILERS they drag Ann to toilet so they can steal the necklace and then act that they found it somewhere else because it slipped although it was pointed out that it can not slip since you need magnetic key to remove it, or at least wouldn't it be easier just to give her the fake necklace in the toilet saying that it fell.
Also later they drove off with the rest of the diamonds while the place was in lockdown by "best security team in the world" that just accepts "oh, look what i found in the pool" explanation...
Not to mention the movie is caled Ocean's Eight but there were seven women in a group which made Ann Hathaway's reveal at the end not so much of a shock, more of a meh.
There are many more plot holes but it would take longer to read them than to watch this movie.
About SJW in the movie
they managed to cover all "the colors of Benetton", Also it is marketed as a movie about an "All women's heist team",
but in the end they have a male in a team, but I guess he doesn't count and doesn't deserve an equal part of the loot.
Constance swiped one necklace and gets 38 million, but the guy that collected all the rest gets a tap on the shoulder, and no credit.
The funniest movie of all the funny movies. My stomach hurt from laughing. Ready to partey.
Nora is the worst thing to happen to the flash series.
I would have found this episode more credible if we had seen Barry and Ralph playing paintball or laser tag at some early point.
Both excited and terrified about this.. Let's hope it doesn't turn out like The Runaways
edit: Thankfully, it did not turn out like the Runaways and even though it has some differences from the comics, i love it.
