I'm trying to understand why these shows are being produced. I understand Netflix is trying to capture a younger audience, using modern music with historic settings. But please, can Netflix also invest into a better script!
was somewhat disappointed. Production was lacking in many episodes. Felt like a CW show. Dion comes across as annoying.
This has a great premise and the possibility of being a great show, but if the Brits were doing it they'd make it spectacular and in 8 episodes or less. This is a typical American "how-can-we-drag-a-short-story-into-5-season-before-killing-it-unexpectedly” show waiting to happen. I want to love it, but it just drags on and on. 6/10
Update - someone put a bullet in the back of it's head... about 4 episodes too late. Painfull to watch the further along it went.
Everybody wants the trans girl. Rue is right about her being a dumbass. Meeting unknown people in out of the way places. That's the kind of crap that happened in the 70s and 80s. That's why so many serial killers had such big numbers.
They doubled down on the dick.
Wow. The reviews of this are ridiculous. I'm so tired of the armchair "critics" out there today, and the nonsense they whine about. Sure, there's nothing all that noteworthy here, but it's a pretty good weepy with some good performances. If you're in that kind of mood or dig these actors give it a go.
Oh, after two wasted seasons the plot might actually become interesting again!
Instead of havong yet another external threat it seems to be about consolidating powers and fighting internal resistance. Seems like a wise plot choice. On the other hand... we can be sure the show will mess it up again, just like they always do.
Syfy where all good ideas go to die.
it is terrible
misses the mark by ten trillion lightyears. forgettable characters, no plot, zero awareness, just the worst thing i have ever seen
Another episode that doesn't fit in the "Black Mirror" series. Not even remotely anything to do with tech or dystopia. The "immigrant hate" angle went nowhere. Was there any hidden meaning / point to the story, or was it just a meaningless story?
What? I'm here for Kyle Chandler and he gets offed on the pilot episode?
I cared more for the Plane in Plane than Superman in Batman v Superman
Previously, I wrote a short, but positive review at the end of Season 1, stating how excited I was for Season 2.
I absolutely despise when great shows are cancelled. However, in this instance I truly wish it had been cancelled after Season 1. At least we would have been left with a positive memory and with our imaginations running wild.
It’s difficult to review Season 2, without giving anything away, therefore I will try and keep my words brief…
WTF! The last episode was an absolute joke and a huge cop out. Who on earth came up with it? Someone very lazy or maybe with an axe to grind? I was literally spitting feathers. There were many amazing possibilities to explain the show to date.
Maybe they were told unexpectedly towards the end of Season 2 it was to be cancelled and they had to come up with something very quickly?
In honesty, I did find Season 2 a tad boring even before reaching the worst ever final episode in history. I felt the show wasn’t progressing , even a tad repetitive. But, I wasn’t put off, due to many shows having their boring episodes.
Wrapping things up; I really don’t feel like wasting anymore of my time, especially given the horrendous ending…PLEASE DO NOT WATCH SEASON 2. You will be sorely disappointed and in danger of being furious.
It made me remember an American TV Show from the 80’s I think, who pulled the same stunt. The media had a field day, with nothing nice to say. If I state the name of this well known show, I imagine you’ll guess what fate awaits you, in the final episode. But, my lips are sealed.
Do you dare watch? Or finish on Season 1, with your happiness intact?
Good luck :)
PS. Not related to the show, but thought I’d point out I’m Dyslexic. Please forgive any mistakes I make. I do check my rants before clicking submit, but alas I still miss too many blunders.
Fun! Very short though, hoped it would be longer...
..clicks play......ehhhhhhhhh....hmmmmm....stop... exit... Click Pornhub dot com ahhhhhhh better.
.squirt!!! The end
Has this week's writer ever seen the show? All the characters changed and the rules of the show were broken and with no benefit.
The writer may need counseling as there are definitely issues being worked through.
It's impossible to skip the opening, its weird but funny as hell.
i don't give the CW much credit, but this was actually a damn good episode and Eclipso looks great, comic book accurate for once. can somebody please tell me why Beth is a member of the team, she is literally useless and adds nothing, she is a liability
How do they 1up themselves every episode.
Did Peter just say “uncle Ben” ? That’s not happened before right?!
Vision could have pulled the stone out of his own head the whole time, kinda makes half of infinity war a little pointless.
Paul Rudd was great, Hudson Thames was great, and that definitely could have gone the other way as Tom Holland is hard to replace, we also got Chadwick Boseman again which will always be nice.
Great episode but not surprising as it was the zombies episode which is the one I was most excited for.
If the father proves his paternity they wouldn't have to "adopt" him.
People that are comparing this to John Wick need to go back and watch John Wick. This doesn't even come close.
How to f* up 7 seasons of The Flash. Turn the almighty Speed Force into an insecure woman.
Funny how most people think this is boring filler stuff, or even dislike the whole show, while I do like it more and more.
For me it seems this is the first time that Marvel puts substance over effects. There is an actually story involved instead of just knitting together CGI shots. Of course there is an agenda in all of this, there is no denying that. But I don't see this as a bad thing.
And I'm looking very much forward to the final episode now.
Overall, I think it might be the best episode. It was pretty well written, showcasing Asta's tell when she hugs The Alien and the kid using the phone as a GPS to track the base. Now the only problem is that I don't know how will Alan Tudyk appear in the next season. I guess, we are not gonna The Alien's planet yet, and he'll go back to earth. And, I'll be honest, I actually thought that Harry could've killed the town doctor, but didn't think so because no one in the town really seem to know him before the alien came.
I "liked" the show for different reasons but I did not like the last episode. The End was a different vibe from the rest, kind of like Riverdale, which I'm not into. whatever director's decision for her to take her moms jacket made it cheasy. still I would like a season 2 to see how it goes
Is it bad that I kind of want to see Joe kill Candace? Something about her just irks me, like if she actually wanted to save anyone she'd just go to the cops again. Get real!
"Hello. You... No, fuck no, I'm not doing that."
I love how they still kept that kind of humor :D
I'm still not feeling Candace. I find her scenes a bit exhausting and she comes across as fake, but besides that the whole humor, story and mood really felt like season 1. I just hope Love will have more depth and not just be a manic pixie dream girl, but it seems likely things will take a crazy turn again, so I'm looking forward to more.
Fantastic episode but I thought the way they handled Beck's death was slightly rushed. She just got grabbed by Joe and then it was suddenly 4 months later
I just can't stand with the comments calling her a slut, etc. I think she's free to live her sexuality and have sex with whoever she wants. She's not officially dating the weird guy. So, stop judging her.
I'm so confused about Mo and Max's new business. It's a restaurant? And somehow also an app?
