Pretty incredible show. Reminds me a lot of Sherlock Holmes. Highly recommended.
Syfy where all good ideas go to die.
What a piece of shit. Maybe the two worst actors I've seen in a long time. Very very poor. I'm out
This is Hot Garbage! I don't know what demographic they are trying to play to, but this hit all the wrong buttons for me. It's like someone grew up watching 4400 and Lost, then decides it would be a great idea to mix it in with The Langoliers. Again, Literal Garbage. Literally Unwatchable. The acting is bad, the forced emotions and religion are bad, and the overall laziness is very annoying. Way to ruin a perfectly good chunk of my brain
I just can't get past that endless screaming from Asta
Awesome show.
This has a great premise and the possibility of being a great show, but if the Brits were doing it they'd make it spectacular and in 8 episodes or less. This is a typical American "how-can-we-drag-a-short-story-into-5-season-before-killing-it-unexpectedly” show waiting to happen. I want to love it, but it just drags on and on. 6/10
Update - someone put a bullet in the back of it's head... about 4 episodes too late. Painfull to watch the further along it went.
It has a big emphasis on family drama. If you're into that you'll probably enjoy it, but honestly I think it doesn't come anywhere close to the likes of Expanse.
i love it its like the live action version of an episodic slice of life. great for just turning off your brain for a while and enjoying something simple.
Not bad... but can't see how they can drag this concept out over 10 or more episodes before it gets REALLY old. Three episodes in and I'm already losing interest. 5/10
total bullshit for a drugged up high audience. Superficiality masked as 'being deep and artistic'
Boring show with a boring ending. Skip this crap.
I gave this a pretty bad rating more than a year ago after having only "watched" (fast-forwarded) 2 episodes. Being bored, I recently started to watch the show properly and powered through the 2 first episodes after which the show just took off and I couldn't stop binge watching it. Like many comments I've read, I felt the first 3rd of the show was the best part, but the later parts manage to keep it interesting enough even though slightly repetitive. I think that I initially dismissed this show due to the premise, paranormal notebook which enables writer to kill people whose name have been written in. At first glance, it's seems silly but the show makes up for it by turning it into a great thriller.
Generally, I don't like musicals. I only watched this, at first, because Jane Levy (Suburgatory) was the lead. After a few episodes, however, I was hooked by the good-natured silliness and the emotionally moving subplots. It helps that the musical numbers are usually old favourites and not a one is from an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. The casting is excellent, particularly veteran Mary Steenburgen and Glee's Alex Newell who plays Zoey's wildly ebullient transvestite neighbour with whom Zoey quickly becomes BFF. There are tearjerkers, for sure, but there are also a lot of LOL moments, many during the choreographed scenes.
Most of us have wished, at one time or another (usually while wearing a walkman/mp3 player), that our lives had a soundtrack. Zoey takes it a step further and adds backup dancers.
Funny...as...hell!
Which is probably why Syfy will cancel it.
I just binge watched the entire season granted it's only 8 episodes but I haven't done that in a long time.
Really enjoyable series with a great concept for a storyline and enough drama, intrigue and twists to keep everyone interested.
Damn it why is it has to end wtf. Literally the only show i never got bored of
This is carbbage. Get rid of Dove. Replace Jason/Red Hood. both actors sux. Brink back Ravin. And fuckin give Nightwing black hair. And you can probably replace him to, I don't like the way he stands, it's just weird. Looks like a soccer dad on the sidelines. And make this shit DARK, fighting crime not each other. For fucks sake is that to much to ask for?
Pew... ok. It's not a bad show, let me say that first. It's also not "the best show ever" or close to being it. It's very slow at times, and it's hard to know what's going on a lot of the time. Those complaints aside, it's unrealistic in the same way Dexter is, you have to suspend your disbelief a lot while watching this show. It also ends pretty predictably, and the main character is portrayed as a hero when he's really a shit head who gets a lot of people killed for his ignorance. That all said, there's a decent underlining story here and it's worth watching if you don't go in expecting a great show. It's above average, and has a lot of likable characters.
As of the release of season 6 and the completion of the show: I used to love this show so much but in its latter three seasons it really let itself go. There were still some episodes that offered good moments and great character development but mostly all characters felt two dimensional and the plot didn't have much depth.
I was vey dissapointed by the finale episode in season 6 as, although it was nice to see some familiar faces return, it felt like idle fan service. I'm glad that I took the time to watch Supergirl in its entirety but I'm also glad its over
(from my old collection of anime reviews circa 2003)
Fantasy adventure / suspense. The dull main character finds himself in a vivid online gameworld, unable to log out. Why? Who knows, it's too slow, and the ending concludes nothing. Neat premise, nice art, not enough story.
hurt me so bad I can't even hear its name...I sobbed so hard I couldn't breathe.... my heart physically hurts thinking about it....altered my life forever... Will never be the same again...loved it sooooo much.... wish I could rewatch it for the first time again
I'm sorry, how THE FUUUCK am I supposed to recover from this anime? HOW??? I bawled my eyes out with that finale oh MY GOD!!! How am I expected to just move on with my life??? I don't understand, I DON'T GET IT. This was the most beautiful ride, I would sell my soul to watch the entire anime for the first time again.
I tried like hell. I made it to episode seven of season two and this show absolutely sucks out loud!!!Please don’t watch it ,don’t try to watch it. It is about a mental patient and it’s for mental patients.
I think this show meanders way too much. When something is actually happening plot-wise it's really good and interesting, but it overall feels like 3-4 episodes worth of plot were stretched out over 8, padded out with artsy cinematography and the same scenes/flashbacks repeating multiple times. And some just bizzare and out of place things, like the dance scene in ep 6. It intentionally tries to be confusing and mysterious, but it gets annoying when the plot is moving at a snail's pace. I don't find the characters particularly relatable either (I mean Syd's a rapist apparently?? David at least has the excuse of having someone messing with his mind, but her? You can't brush off her actions against her mother's boyfriend with "who teaches you to be normal when you have powers".). David is the most interesting one, Lenny is tons of fun when she is on screen; the others are just sort of there. I hope they will get better developed as the series progresses.
Just what I'd expect.
This show clearly is based on The Bachelor and tries to give a view behind
the scenes. However, it is clear that it is probably escalated for dramatic
effect.

I understand why this show is on a lot of people's top TV shows of 2020. This incredible cast did an amazing job with their performances and acting. I loved every episode and song.
Wow this Anime took me by surprise! To be honest, it reminded a lot of an American show called Leverage. That series was what first made me love the tricks and twists that a good show about con artistry and grifting is really about. The first season was fantastic, light-hearted and hilarious right when it needed to be.
But right when I thought I had the show figured out, season 2 changed things up. Suddenly there were some deep and dramatic themes, the ideas of learning from your history and moving on from traumatic life experiences. There was so much behind each character's motivation, and all along, the viewer needs to decipher truth from fiction!
Despite the Netflix tag attached, this has easily become one of my favorites. I will say that it feels slightly less like the Anime you might be used to, but personally I think that is less because of the Netflix puppetry, and more because this show is truly designed for an international audience.
Amazing show, I would highly recommend it.
